Hey all you amazing we have an update on little Sparrow! He had a follow up with his vet today, he has improved and swelling is down about 5%! His vet feels an ophthalmologist may be able to repair the lense since he has improved so much, so we will be consulting with them in the near future (waiting on an appointment date).

Thank you so very much to everyone who has been following and supporting Sparrow so far, we could never do what we do without you!

With the new possibility of a different type of surgery on the table, Sparrow's estimated medical cost has gone way up. We have raised $1,500 so far, but we still have a ways to go, especially if this new surgery is the path he needs to go down as it would be more expensive than the removal we originally estimated for. So please comment and share this post and donate if you can 🩵

You can donate via venmo, PayPal, Facebook (keep in mind we don't receive from Facebook for 90 days), check, or in person at our events 😊

Easter and Mother's Day are two of the most dangerous holidays for cats for one reason: lily poisoning. 💐

As a part of our No Lilies for Kitties educational campaign, we're kicking off the series by sharing which species of lilies are toxic to cats. True lilies (Lilium species) and daylilies (Hemerocallis species) are extremely toxic to cats and can potentially cause severe kidney failure. Check out the graphic below for examples, and visit the link below to learn more:

***Update****
Thank you for your continued patience. We are currently seeing scheduled appointments (though there may be a slight delay as we navigate space) We are back in the building. Everyone and every pet is safe. Some procedures and dental surgeries have been rescheduled as our electrical contractors work on the issue. We have phone service again. If you are a Regular client and have an Emergency please call our desk. ALL other emergency services are on hold.

*****************
The wonderful emergency services are currently at our facility - out of an abundance of caution to ensure everyone and all pets are safe to return to the building. A small electrical fault was discovered and the Fire service was called. EVERY pet and person have been safely evacuated. Please be patient for services to resume as normal, while we let the professionals evaluate the trouble. We currently have no phone or electric service at our facility as we navigate the situation. Thank you.
