Bear’s story is a heartbreaking one.

Thanks to a viral social media post, his suffering was brought to light and our Animal Law Enforcement team was able to rescue him from the horrors he endured. But even though he is no longer in physical danger, his spirit has been deeply scarred.

Nervous, anxious, and unsure, every loud noise and every unfamiliar hand causes him to flinch. He craves love and comfort, but he understandably doesn’t know who to trust.

Because of this, we are desperately searching for an experienced and quiet foster home for Bear, where he can heal and begin to restore what has been broken. He is open to meeting older, dog-savvy kids and neutral dogs.

If you can open your home to this sweet boy, please email [email protected] today.

Hey all you amazing we have an update on little Sparrow! He had a follow up with his vet today, he has improved and swelling is down about 5%! His vet feels an ophthalmologist may be able to repair the lense since he has improved so much, so we will be consulting with them in the near future (waiting on an appointment date).

Thank you so very much to everyone who has been following and supporting Sparrow so far, we could never do what we do without you!

With the new possibility of a different type of surgery on the table, Sparrow's estimated medical cost has gone way up. We have raised $1,500 so far, but we still have a ways to go, especially if this new surgery is the path he needs to go down as it would be more expensive than the removal we originally estimated for. So please comment and share this post and donate if you can 🩵

You can donate via venmo, PayPal, Facebook (keep in mind we don't receive from Facebook for 90 days), check, or in person at our events 😊

Easter and Mother's Day are two of the most dangerous holidays for cats for one reason: lily poisoning. 💐

As a part of our No Lilies for Kitties educational campaign, we're kicking off the series by sharing which species of lilies are toxic to cats. True lilies (Lilium species) and daylilies (Hemerocallis species) are extremely toxic to cats and can potentially cause severe kidney failure. Check out the graphic below for examples, and visit the link below to learn more:
