Puppy Mills and Unethical Breeders are only in business because people want to buy cheap puppies. Please do your research and only buy from reputable and ethical breeders who treat their parent dogs as part of the family, not livestock.

I love all dogs, but not all dogs are meant to live with children or vulnerable adults. On Wednesday two Pitbulls in TN, who had never shown aggression, attacked and killed a 2 year old girl and 5 month old boy. PLEASE carefully research the breed or breed mix you choose to join your family.

Time goes fast in dog years. It's been almost 3 years since my son helped drive me to Kentucky to pick up, what ended up being twins. They shared the same face and name but very different personalities, just like my human twins :)

It's "National Purebred Dog Day" today. Guess what breeds these dogs are who are commonly mistaken as Doodles!

Of the five dogs in my living room tonight, it was Odin the F1 Englishdoodle who spotted the tiny mouse run through the room and almost caught it. He will probably continue to watch for it most the night.

As a prospective puppy buyer I cannot emphasize enough how important it is to purchase your puppy from a breeder who DNA and health screens their parent dogs. With the rise in popularity of all types of Doodles, there are many backyard breeders out to make money by breeding the dogs they already own. They will tell you things like "Canine DNA testing is to new to be trusted, it's a scam". Yes the company used does matter. Not all testing is the same. But that statement is an excuse. If they are breeding the mature dogs they already own, they don't want to run the risk of finding out their dog should not be bred based on the results. The Dangers of Rope Toys:

We Raise the Best and Healthiest Puppies!

Welcome to the original AZ Doodle Ranch! Please be aware of impostors. We focus on quality over quantity and produce only a few puppy litters a year and placing them in pre-approved homes. We take pride in raising healthy, happy and well rounded puppies. All of our puppy parents are health evaluated and full dna tested for over 150+ genetic health conditions. We think that is VERY important so you know you are buying a puppy that will live a long and happy life. Both Kari and Tony have been lifelong dog owners. Kari helped deliver and care for her first set of puppies in North Dakota at age 11. We do not consider ourselves “professional dog breeders”, we are privileged to be puppy guardians providing the best start for your next family member. Tony has a masters degree in Biology and Kari a PhD in Psychology, thus both have advanced knowledge of animal-human behavior and health. Our puppies are cared for in our home, not an outdoor separate kennel. They are held and played with by our family every single day. We have five children ranging in age from 17 to 2 years so our puppies are very well socialized with children! We believe that early potty training and socialization is a very important part of our role as puppy caregivers. We reside in a homestead community southeast of the Phoenix Metro area. Our home is located on a one acre fenced lot with real grass where our dogs have room to roam and play. We also have backyard chickens, a large garden, and pool so your future puppy will be exposed to lots of important sights, sounds, and experiences. We consider each puppy we place a part of our family! We are committed to being available to you throughout all stages of your dog ownership.
