It's with a huge amount of frustration and sadness that I'm again having to let our European customers know that we will be unable to take orders from you after 8th December.

The European Union is introducing legislation (the General Product Safety Regulations) requiring all businesses selling items in the EU to have registered legal representatives within the EU (among other requirements). At this point in time many artisan businesses in the UK are in the same position and stopping sales to the EU is our only option as we just don't have the kinds of resources needed for this. We can only hope that the UK Government negotiates some sort of trade deal in the future.... I really am truly sorry, this has come completely out of the blue.

It seems that due to a technical glitch 1" (2.5cm) wide house collars haven't been available on the website for a few weeks. This only came to light when a customer contacted me to query the missing width, so thank you to them for reaching out! I've now worked through the website correcting the error, so all widths should now be available in all house collar designs.

If you know anyone that's been frustrated by this, please let them know all is now fixed!

Our house collars are available in 3 widths: 2cm (¾"); 2.5cm (1") and 3cm (1 ¼") and 3 sizes: Tiny, Small and Standard. Other widths and sizes are available as custom orders.

This little lot of recycled collars and leads has gone off to our friends at Galway SPCA this week for the Greyhounds and Lurchers in their care. Most of these are made from metal fittings sent to us by you lovely lot from your old collars and leads. The webbing and decorative ribbons were new, because kennel hounds deserve something pretty!

A totally new product today!

A friend of SP has a wonderful little handmade skincare company based in Wales, and knowing we were "serious" hound owners asked if we'd help trial a new product for dogs... First we tried it on our own (human) skin, I can confirm that it's great on dry elbows and chapped lips, and then Tali, our much missed Greyhound, who had very cracked stopper pads, gave it a go. She was a bit of a Diva, so rather enjoyed a little pamper session while having the balm massaged into her pads. It worked so well and made her so happy we were delighted when we were offered the chance to share it with you, our lovely customers!
