Let's be honest, there are a lot of groomers that you can chose from, so why chose me? What makes me different? I am a private pet groomer, located in Landis, NC who has been grooming for 10 years. I only groom one client's pets at a time, so it's just me and your dog/dogs, and not 10 other barking, whining, panting pups locked in cages. This allows me to focus on your dog and complete most grooms

in 1 hour. Once I am done, your dog goes home, and the next one arrives. Grooming this way is a lot less stressful for everyone. It helps reduce grooming induced anxiety, because dogs are in a quiet, calm environment. I only use top of the line, professional pet products on your dog. I take pride in what I do and I love it. I am always learning and researching, to further my education, and sharpen my skills, to provide the best care to your dog. I am a registered member of National Dog Groomers Association of America (NDGAA) and International Professional Groomers, Inc (IPG). I am also PetTech CPR and First Aid Certified. Additionally I am a Certified Canine Esthetician. If it is a pet sitter you are looking for, I can guarantee your pet will be taken care of, fed, let out to potty, and loved on. I assure you that your home will be safe and looked after. Send me a message for additional information. IMPORTANT POLICIES & NOTIFICATIONS:

*A 24 hour notice is required for all cancellations.
*Cancellations made without a 24 hour notice are considered a last minute cancellation.
* In the event of a same day/last minute cancellation, the full grooming fee will be due before rescheduling. More additional information, please read over the FAQ page on www.roxannescissorhands.com

Friends, do not buy this crap. 😬

Please think twice before buying these treats, and if your dog receives one as a gift, it’s best to throw it away. Rawhide chews may seem like a fun treat, but they can pose serious risks to your dog’s health.

Unfortunately, many of these so-called “treats” often lead to emergency vet visits, especially around the holidays. Most rawhide products are made from cattle or horse hides, and the process to make them involves harmful chemicals. First, the hides are soaked in toxic sodium sulfide to remove hair and fat. Then, they’re treated with additional chemicals to split the hides into layers, followed by hydrogen peroxide to make them look white and fresh while masking any rancid smell. After that, festive colors and glue are added to shape them into cute designs. Tests have even found traces of arsenic, mercury, chromium, and formaldehyde in these chews.

On top of the chemical concerns, rawhide is a major choking hazard and can cause serious intestinal blockages. When wet, the chews become slippery, making it difficult to grab if your dog starts choking. These risks are sadly more common than many people realize.

For your dog’s safety, it’s best to avoid rawhide entirely. Instead, try healthier, natural options like bully sticks, yak chews, or vet-approved dental treats. For dogs that love to chew, durable toys made from rubber or nylon are great alternatives. And while these options are safer, no chew is completely risk-free, so always supervise your dog while they enjoy their treats.

Keeping our pets happy and safe is what matters most. A little extra care can go a long way in protecting their health.

Our Story

Let's be honest, there are a lot of groomers that you can chose from, so why chose me? What makes me different?

I am a private pet groomer, located in Landis, NC who has been grooming for 5+ years. I only groom one client's pets at a time, so it's just me and your dog/dogs, and not 10 other barking, whining, panting pups locked in cages. This allows me to focus on your dog and complete most grooms in an hour. Once I am done, your dog goes home, and the next one arrives. Grooming this way is a lot less stressful for everyone. It helps reduce grooming induced anxiety, because dogs are in a quiet, calm environment.

With that being said, my appointments fill up rather quickly. I am normally booked out 2 weeks, but please don't let that discourage you from calling; give me a call so I can get you on my schedule! My time is important to me, as is everyone's, therefore I have policies in place to protect my time, business, and schedule. Although strict, I feel they are fair and necessary. For example, I require a 24 hour notice for all cancellations. I do however understand that life happens, therefore the first cancellation, with less than 24 hours notice is forgiven. Thereafter cancellations made without a 24 hour notice will incur a $25.00 cancellation fee, plus you will be required to prepay for your next appointment. In the event of a same day/last minute cancellation, the full grooming fee will be due before rescheduling. Please read over the FAQ page for additional grooming policies.

If it is a pet sitter you are looking for, I can guarantee your pet will be taken care of, fed, let out to potty, and loved on. I assure you that your home will be safe and looked after. I am insured, experienced, and in constant contact via text, email, or phone. I require every new client to call and talk to my many references, so if you are going on vacation, out of town for work, or just working late and need someone to check in on the dog, look no further! Please note, I do not board dogs in my home. Please check out my Pet Sitting Fees & Policies for more information.
