If you have booked with me, this post is meant tor you to know what to expect from me! If any of the below information is Not okay with you please reach out and ask for amendments! I am more than happy to accommodate!
Updates:
Generally I update you on how your pets are doing every day or two! If you'd like a specific amount of updates, let me know and I can accommodate!
If ANYTHING goes wrong I will not keep it from you unless I can resolve it immediately, and then once it is resolved you'll get filled in on what occurred. If your pet gets loose, injured or falls ill you will know as immediately as possible!
Photos of your pet I take may be used on my page. If you are not okay with this, please let me know and I will post nothing of your animal.
Meet and Greets:
I am more than happy to meet up with you and your pet/drop by your home to let you show me around, meet your pet and get used to their routine. If you are interested in boarding your small pet at my home, you are welcome to ask for photos/stop by and see the space where they will be kept. Meet and Greets are free!
Drop ins:
I do drop ins in the evening, as this time works best for me. I attempt to stay with the animal as long as they are interested in me being there. I won't linger if your pet is spooked by me/doesn't want me around. I will make sure they're fully cared for and then leave once my presence is no longer wanted. This is especially true of timid cats.
Sometimes the weather does not permit a drop in that is scheduled. In the event of poor weather, I will make every effort to reach your pet, and if unable, I will reach out.
House sitting:
I work full time in a supervisor position, plus I have a cat so I will be away for 4-10 hours at a time 5+ days of the week. If you live in the West End, Mount Pearl or other similar areas I am able to drop back during my lunch breaks. I also have a second person who is able to help me on particularly busy days with p*e breaks and additional feedings. This will be okayed with you before it happens. Due to how little I am home, I only tend to accept house sitting for lower maintenance pets.
I do own a car, so if you have booked house sitting during a month with a parking ban/live along a street with paid parking only, I will need access to a parking space/a permit.
Boarding:
I allow small animals (rabbits, guinea pigs, mice, rats, hamsters etc) birds and reptiles into my home. I have a dedicated spare bedroom for my own reptiles and plants that my cat isn't allowed access to, which is where your pet will be kept! Garlic (the cat) does not have a high prey drive and does not kick up a stink about not being allowed access to that room. If requested, he can be locked in the bathroom before I open the door to the room your pet will be kept in, and I can also not bring your pet out of that room unless he is away.
Information I need from you:
Please let me know all about your pet! I would love to know all about their personality! Important information includes:
Their favourite things, their least favourite things, their routine, if they're okay with being picked up, places they don't like to be touched/where they Do like being touched, any weird quirks they have, if they're a door dasher and any other information you deem necessary! No amount of info is too much!
Payment:
I take payment through EMT and cash. payment is expected by the last day of service once you arrive back home and get settled in. I am negotiable on prices if you are a long term client or if you are going to be booking a significant amount of time.
Other information:
If you have booked house sitting or drop ins, I am able to bring mail inside your house, water plants and roll the garbage out for garbage week. If anything else is required please reach out!
If your pet runs out of something while you are away, I work at a petstore and am able to pick the item up. I will reach out to confirm and then add the cost of that item onto the stay.
I am able to administer medications and have experience with many types of meds and medical conditions. All I require from you is a walkthrough of your routine with the medication as well as detailed instructions if it's a complicated process just to make things as seemless as possible.
