Happy national day.
7 years ago, we rescued Chorny Kot from an industrial estate. He was very sick and we had to take him to the vet many times.
Just before we rescued him, we also took in Rusty, Sandy and Mandy. They accepted him as their new little brother. We believe their love help Chorny to get well.
And now 7 years later, Chorny is a happy, healthy and handsome boy!

Happy Birthday, little Chorny Kot.
How time flies. 7 years ago, we rescued him from an industrial estate. He had various infections and was very sick. It took about a year before he got better. And since then, he has become a happy, cheerful, and healthy cat! Still a baby in many ways. And now this little boy is 7yo!

Rahula Felv Sanctuary Shade passed away today.
When she arrived, she was shy and later had stomatitis.
It took a lot of effort before she bloomed into a happy girl.
Her last few months were one of happiness and joy.

Rahula Felv Sanctuary Shade is now very affectionate with us.
Very happy to see that. Today, gave her a shower.
Recently she had stomatitis and it has healed. But it made her coat dirty. Now with a shower, she is fresh and clean.
Very good appetite too and we told her to eat as much as she can.
We also add supplements to boost their immune system.
She is now a very happy big sister to little meatloaf.
Sorry the pic is blur because it is very hard to take her pic. Everytime she sees us, she will run forward for a hug.

Another belated birthday. This time is our dear Diamond.
When she was rescued many people wanted to adopt her but when a heart issue was discovered, no one wanted her.
After we adopted her, we arranged for a check up.
Her condition is not affecting her and what we can do is to make every day a very happy day for her loved and surrounded by loving siblings.

Rahula Felv Sanctuary This evening, the vet called to inform us that Jose had passed away.
He was affected by the FeLV virus and a possible FIP.
This little boy appeared out of nowhere and we realized he is FeLV+ so we adopted him. He has always been such a cheerful and playful boy. Only 2yo. Life ended so fast for him.
We are glad to have been able to care and to love him.
FeLV cats can be very fragile. We understand and accept that they can leave very suddenly so our approach has been to love them. Make them feel, happy, precious and loved everyday.

Rahula Felv Sanctuary Today, we have a belated birthday for Jose.
We have been trying to sort things out for the last few days.
Jose has been aggressive with Yoshii and would attack him.
We had to separate them, but we didn't want to cage Jose.
So, in the end, we bring him over to our isolation room.
This way he has his space and toys and stays away from Yoshii.
We suspect this might be due to both of them being male and both were sterilized recently, so the male hormones are still in the body.
We will separate Jose from the rest for a while and then reintroduce him to the rest of the cats.

Rahula Felv Sanctuary Very happy for shade.
Have not seen anymore drooling.
And she is feeling totally comfortable now. She don't see the need to hide and she's found a nice spot to rest.
It's part of readjustment in a new environment and we are happy to see her bloom.

Chorny Kot is the black cat.
Dillion is a dog we adopted wh has nerve degeneration and is now using wheels.
Butter is the GR happily watching Chorny went to see Dillion.
These animals know how to do little things to make Dillion feel loved

Rahula Felv Sanctuary Good news!!! We have been spending time with shade to assure her that we love her and this is her home. We spoke to her, patted her, and massaged her. Now, she has trusted us enough for us to hug her. She is dehydrated so we took the opportunity to subcut her.
We held her and pat her so that she does not know the subcut is going on. It will help her recover. We also thank our rescuer friend who rush over with a subcut kit as we ran out of them.

Rahula Felv Sanctuary Shade is settling down well. She was extremely timid so we left her alone for the first few days. Then we started talking to her and assuring her. And she allowed us to pat her and massage her while we talked to her.
She is still wary but that is ok.
We are now able to touch her and also clean her.
She is still drooling either from the dental or the mouth ulcers. Stress from moving can also contribute to it. Next week the vet will take a look and see what else needs to be done. They have already requested the medical data from the previous vet.
Overall, everything is in the right direction. We will continue to assure her and wait to see her bloom.

Jose is a very outgoing and friendly cat.
Once he is in Rahula Felv Sanctuary, he began exploring and also introduce himself to his new siblings.
Tang Yuan met her little brother for the firs time 🙂

This is little Jose whom we just welcomed into Rahula Felv Sanctuary. He grew up on a construction site and the rescuer tried to rehome him. It was not easy because people were bothered that he is black! He is tested FeLV+ so we will look after him.
He is a very smart, cute and adorable black cat. Love him lots!

Our first cat with a Russian name is Chorny Kot which means black cat 🙂
Chorny was rescued from an industrial estate and was meant to be adopted by someone who specially asked for a back cat. The adoption did not go through because the person believes in allow the cat to breed at least once....
He was very weak and sick and for the next year or so he was fighting all sorts of infections. He also hated to be alone.
Luckily, we had just adopted Rusty, Sandy and Mandy. As soon as Chorny ended his quarantine, the 3 little ones accepted him as a little brother. That love made all the difference to Chorny. His immunity system also kick off and he became this healthy strong handsome boy that he is today!

This is diamond. When she was first rescued, she was thought to be a mane c**n and many people were keen to adopt her. But when the vet mentioned a possible heart issue no one wanted her so we adopted her. She needs a heart scan once a year but for now she has bloomed into a happy healthy cat. She is very loved by her older siblings. So she runs carefree and knows where ever she goes, her siblings just love her.
We do not know how her heart condition will develop but she deserves all the love and we want her to be as happy as she can be.

6 years ago today, we took Chorny Kot from an industrial estate. A friend's friend had wanted to adopt a black cat so we showed her Chorny's details. When our friend asked to confirm that Chorny would be sterilized, she said she believed in allowing her cats to breed at least once. When our friend tried to explain the consequences, the person decided not to adopt.
Chorny was still a kitten and was quite sick. He also had parasites but was too young to have the anti-flea and tick applications. We isolated him and spent alot of time playing with him.
We can tell he hates to be alone. So when he was finally old enough to get his application, we introduced him to Rusty, Sandy and Mandy whom we just adopted.
They were all about the same age and we remember the moment they walked towards Chorny and decided that Chorny is their new baby brother.
Chorny was still very weak and had a deformed breast bone. It took a while before his immune system kicked in. WE believe the love from his 3 kitten siblings helped Chorny get well and strong.

Luna left today. On 5 Feb this year, Luna was found motionless and with ant crawling over her. She got better once she had a home. Today, she closed her chapter as a cat. He left as a precious girl love by many siblings. In loving memory of Luna.

Happy Birthday Luna.
6 months ago, she was found lying motionless with ants crawling over her. We were suppose to bring her in for palliative care.
Went to the vet and got a baseline of her health and we started the medications for her. She got better and start to enjoy herself with her new siblings.
Last few days, she was not well so we went back to the vet. She looks better today so she is probably responding to treatment. Apart from antibiotics, we also subcut to hydrate her. And lots of catnip.
Our job is to see what support she needs to get well. Every life is precious.
