‼️ EMERGENCY FOSTERS NEEDED ‼️

We are seeking fosters to help as many of these dogs as possible! A local village has tried to save as many as possible however many of these dogs are facing a heartbreaking future. We don’t have very much information besides the following names and ages. All reported to be good with other dogs.

Foster needed for this sweet girl!

Can you help? Estimated to be about 2 years old. This sweet girl was found abandoned and of poor health. Her previous owners had neglected her and she was left starved and skinny. With a little help, her current rescuers have helped her gain weight and become her true self! She is smart, learning commands and walking on the leash nicely. She is loving to the rescuer's daughter and friendly with other dogs! She has been going for daily walks and has started to learn commands such as sit and down!

As always, a new puppy brings so much joy but requires consistency, training, veterinary and food expense for upward of 15 years. At Christmas we remind folks that puppies become dogs and are family not presents. 🎁

These puppies just have one thing on their Christmas list… a furever home!

Come and meet them 12/22 from 3:00-5:00 at Onsite Brewing Company.

Paper applications will be distributed at the event. Adoption fee is $350 and includes spay/neuter and age appropriate vaccinations. Make sure to bring cash as there are no ATMs nearby.

A bag of Kirkland dog food is $90.00 in Togiak. ARVO is doing a dog food drive and delivery to Togiak and we’d like to help. Drop off at Onsite Brewing 3-5 PM.
Stop by and see some wonderful pups available for adoption!

Janessa has rescued and transported more than 100 dogs this year.

We will also post a FB donation link just for the date of event and purchase dog food for Togiak with that days donations.

Meet Avery! ♥️

Avery is a 2 year old German Shepard/Alaskan malemute mix in search of her forever home!

Avery has spent the last couple months at Nose to the Grind Board and train facility to help her with her confidence and reactivity - and boy is she a star student! Avery’s trainer has told us that she is a super sweet, lovely and outgoing dog that will make a wonderful companion for an active person, couple or family!

Avery would do best as the only dog in the home, but she would likely be able live with another dog with the right demeanor. Avery would do fine with kids 8 and older.

Avery is potty trained, crate trained, leash trainer, house trained, e-collar trained and muzzle trained making her set up to be the best girl! Her obedience is coming along splendidly, shes eager to please and loves to participate in training activities.

Her trainer has outlined the following details about Avery and her temperament:

-She is a very sweet and smart dog!
-She can be sometimes flighty when over-stimulated, but with effective communication she will be successful.
- She is smart, but thin nerved, so when she gets overwelmed, she needs to be reminded to relax and do the command given and/or settle on the bed, or settle in a down and wait.
- She is social within her pack but is not eagerly looking to meet random strangers or strange dogs.
- She can go to a home with another male dog as long as that dog has no behavoial issues or mental health issues. It is however preferred she go to a home with no other dog, because she is more human oriented temperment.
- She is muzzle, ecollar, crate and leashed trained, also has basic to intermediate obedience.
- She is very food driven dog, and once her new handler gets a handle on her, Avery and her handler can start advanced obedience if they choose.
- She is medium energy and medium drive. She has a great off switch when put on the bed.
- She is good for her grooming, nails, bathing, and brushing.
- She does need to meet a human a couple times before she trusts. But once she feels safe with the human she will open up. Once she trusts, she is really sweet.
- She can go to a home with kids 8 or older.
- She does have some prey drive, but not over the top.
- She would thrive in a household that is active during the day and chill at night, or she will thrive if the humans are active all the time.

As part of her graduation from Nose to the Grind, Avery will have 15 life skills clases as part of her package to improve handler and dog communication and relationship.

UPDATE: FOSTERS FOUND! 🥰Need a friend for the Holidays?🎄 We are seeking 2 fosters!

Meet Blondie and Pola. These sweet girls are 6 month old sisters. They are husky mixes estimated to be no larger than 35 lbs.

Blondie can be timid at first but is a sweetheart once she settles in. She had a rough start at life so she has some anxiety. She is house, leash, and kennel trained! She does have some puppy tendencies which are all normal for her age. Good with all dogs as long as she has her own space. Really good with older dogs too!

Pola is very outgoing and loves to play. She is super friendly and would make a perfect house dog. Like her sister, she also had a rough start to life. She was starved and will take any and all food you give her. She does best with a slow feeder as she does tend to eat too fast. She is kennel and mostly potty trained. However, she will have the occasional accident when kenneled. She is a lover and does well with all dogs.

🎁 🎄UPDATE: JOEY IS TRYING OUT A NEW ❤️HOME! ❤️ 🎄🎁 Joey is a survivor: starvation, abandonment, neglect and months moving around in foster care, faithfully waiting for that special someone to grant his greatest wish, a forever home.... Are you the one who will appreciate his unbeatable strength, enthusiasm and big heart? Joey is 3 years old, 60+ pounds, neutered, housebroken, kennel trained, has a puppy mentality & is a huge lover. He wants to cuddle and be a part of *everything*. He has graduated from a board-and-train program where he polished his manners and worked on calmness. He gets excited around people and dogs so his ideal home will have calm companions and no small children he might overwhelm with his big greetings... Potential adopters can foster Joey for a week, then if he is a good fit for their home, proceed with adoption. Our foster application form is here:

UPDATE: FOSTER FOUND!

Olive is a medium sized 45 pound, Rhodesian Ridgeback/Black Mouth Kerr. She is 4 years old, spayed and current on all vaccines with no medical issues. Olive is completely house and kennel trained. She has completed 3 obedience courses (foundation, and grade school x2). She is stubborn but does have the commands sit, stay, down, touch, shake, come, look (at you) and wait. She is good with other medium and large dogs but not well around small dogs. She has exposure to cats with no aggression too! Olive has done well with kids (ages 2-15) but can get over excited with running or screaming children. Olive is leash trained but does pull if not wearing her prong collar. With that said, she can be a little of an escape artist. She is a beautiful, loving, friendly companion who is looking for a forever home! Will do best in an active home that can take her on doggy adventures!
