Lots of new beginnings on New Years Day at Lick Run! Planted some lettuce, endwalls put on the strawberry house, organized the tool shed. Working on the farm is a bit slower and more chill this time of year, as we recharge for season 8 of growing hyper-local veggies for Roanokers. Thanks for allowing us the privilege of being your neighborhood veggie farm!

Our last market of 2024 is tomorrow!
The veggies will be on point, charged up with sweetness thanks to all the chilly weather. So much gratitude for all who continue to contribute to making farming so much fun.

We are selling some merch on our Instagram Stories right now - go check it out! Tons of different okra ornaments (not just the cute snowmen pictured here), lots of different shirts, totes, and of course okra pickles and chutney. Just comment on the photo on our Instagram story and arrange pick up at the farm at your convenience!
You can also find us, and our merch, at the Wasena Last Minute Market on Wednesday 12/18 from 4pm-7:30pm and at the Grandin Market on Saturday 12/21 from 9am-12pm

🐘 garlic planting represents the end of the outdoor planting season. We've been saving this seed for five years, and we love growing it because it occupies soil with something all winter. Plus, it's delicious, of course!
