There is a new pretty face on the farm today!🥰 this is Sadie❤️ she is a 15 year old mare, super sweet, and if all goes well she will be having a half Gypsy Vanner baby in 2025❤️🥰

4 months down, forever to go💔 on February 28th I said goodbye to Joy, my best friend of 15 years❤️ I didn't tell anyone because it seemed more real if others knew and i honestly dont know how to deal with it. I'm not sure what I'm going to do without her but I'm trying. She knew all my secrets, wishes, hopes, and dreams❤️ she was with me for so many huge milestone in my life and I am so thankful that she was there for me for all these years❤️. I'm finally telling people because I think I need to try and focus on all the amazing time I had with her rather then dwelling on the one sad day💔 If you see me, just know that I am not ok, I havent been ok in 4 months but I am trying my best❤️ I know my Joy is happy now and in a better place, and I know I made the right decision to say goodbye when I did. now I will spend forever missing her💔❤️😢

Today was a big day!!! I got to sit on Dee!!❤️❤️ it's been a long time coming, but today, while I was out scooping the pen, she walked right over to me and said she was ready, so I grabbed the saddle and went for it! I'm so proud of my girl🥰❤️

2 years ago I brought home this amazing mare❤️🥰 the amount of trust she has put in me so far is amazing❤️ we are making slow but steady progress towards her not being wild😆 she has grown so much and learned so many new things in these 2 year❤️ happy gotcha day DeeDee❤️❤️

Well this happened today!😃 I have been doing a lot of thinking lately about how I want to spend my time and what I want to do as far as my horses go. I actually managed to convince myself this week that I was going to sell this big girl so that I could get an already trained horse and not have to spend as much time training, as well as having safer horses while my kids are little. Well.... I then went out to feed and spent time with this girl and realized that I don't think I will find a horse that I want more then her, regardless of their training❤️ This girl has put so much trust in me over the time she has been here and I am so happy that we are starting to take the next step in her training ❤️🥰

Having animals means dealing with losses😔 while every loss is hard, some are harder then others. My Titan would have turned 1 today💔 I only got to know him for a couple short months and he is greatly missed every single day😢💔💔 Happy Birthday my sweet boy ❤️❤️ I hope you are happy wherever you are ❤️

When we first moved to this farm there were coyotes that would come within 15 feet of my kitchen window. Because of that, we not only put a fence around the whole property we also got livestock guardian dogs. These two dogs (Dot and Duke) have the lower field to run and patrol, even though they have a nice house of their own with hay in it, they have decided that they should sleep on the fresh hay I throw for the horses each day😆 they are so good at being with the horses and not bugging them❤️❤️
