🌟 July is Senior Month at AAH ⭐️

Our golden oldies are our pride and joy and we LOVE helping to identify areas where we can be proactive and help you look after your beloved senior pet, ensuring their comfort into the quality years.

Senior pets are any cat or dog > 7 years of age, and common ailments we want to look for in our extensive blood test is any evidence of subclinical renal disease, liver disease, diabetes, anaemias and thyroid disease (cats).

During our physical examination we will focus on looking at conditions such as dental disease, arthritis and musculoskeletal ailments, eye sight disorders and for our geriatrics we also can give you a screener for canine cognitive disease - otherwise known as ‘doggy dementia’.

The process to have your pet assessed:
✅ Book your pets 30 minute consultation with one of our veterinarians
✅ We will take a blood sample that we will analyse
✅ All blood results will be conveyed to you via a Telehealth within 2 business days of testing.

For all you short coat doggo owners! We all know how these guys shed alot of hair😆😆 just like Charlie here for his first time! 🫧🧼
Get your self a silicone brush just like in the photo! These are great for short coated breeds help stimulate the coat and gets all the dead fur out without being to rough!

As some of you already know my little boy has become a powerlifting teenager, with competitions lined up for the year, I'll be taking time off here and there as he moves through his sport. Often these are arranged at short notice and I appreciate each and every customer who's happy to shuffle around 🙏

We love when we get puppies in for early grooming😍 it sets them up for a life time of grooming early and creates a stress free dog for later down the track in their lives 🐶🐶

We have a beautiful little doggo searching for a new home
Narla is a 5 1/2 year old pomeranian cross
She's desexed and microchipped, up to date with her Vaccinations and in good health.
She loves long walks and cuddling up on the couch, Narla is a real people dog and will follow you around all day.
She is ok with other dogs if they give her space, she has grown up as an only dog though and I feel she'd be happier that way
Narla is not a fan of the brush and is reguarly clipped short to avoid discomfort .
Being small in size Narla finds small children a bit confronting and would prefer a home with older children or without any at all.

Did you know it takes as little as 32' for a dog to feel the effects of heatstroke?

With a melting week predicted please be aware that we may be shifting appointments to cooler days to avoid the risk of heatstroke, not only for your dog (but for me too!)
