They melt my heart! What a special litter of perfect puppies. They are learning manners, confidence with various surfaces, how to use a doggy door, crate training, intro to potty training, and how to be the best doggy possible! I’m not ready for them to go but excited for the happiness they will bring their forever families. Only 1 more week 😭

Have you taken the proper steps to prepare your sidekick for dove season? This isn’t just throwing a bumper from the hip & sending a dog on their name with no distractions.
This is war!!!
- Hoop and holler during training : shout in excitement like you will in the field
“birds over the left”
“Here they come”
“Above your head”
- Stand & shoulder your gun abruptly. If the birds fly, it’s going to be a lot of quick movement!
- Shoot multiple rounds over them.
If you’re anything like me, you know you’ll be firing 3 times at 1 bird because they don’t fly quite the same as ducks.

Be sure your gun dog is steady and fully prepared for the excitement to come on opening day. It’s your responsibility to make sure they have practiced everything they might face in the field prior to the shoot. Don’t forget lots of water & don’t hesitate to have them sit out if it’s too hot! Safety first! Everyone get ready! Season is almost here.

What a way to end the season! Hopped in the truck & drove 15.5 hours in hopes to knock down some mallards and check a goose off the list. We succeeded in that, plus saw beautiful sights, met some wonderful locals, and got a young dog new exposure. What an incredible experience we will always treasure!!

Axle (dark blue) is getting the hang of retrieving! He is looking good! He was the biggest puppy at birth and still the biggest. 55 lbs already!! We can’t wait to see this little beast work in the field this season!! Garrett Blessing

We got a new toy to aid in training. Ruger has always had a hard time containing his excitement when he hears gunfire. This is really helping in his training. He gets so anxious that I’m having to slow him down to make sure he doesn’t forget the basics when he hears gunfire.
