// I know Millie Moo sent this boy into our lives for a reason 💙….. cos I wasn’t looking or wanting another pup after she passed last year ! I had my reasons….

1. I never wanted a boy dog - too many dangly bits for my liking

2. I never wanted a puppy - too many older pups needing rescuing

3. I only ever wanted another Pointer

4. I didn’t have time to devote to a ‘high needs’ pup

5. No other dog would ever replace the quirky uniqueness of Millie

And yet here we are…. With our darling and delightful Foster boy Taco….. a BOY, a PUPPY, with DANGLY bits, a crazy likeness to Millie and her quirky ways and is most certainly not a POINTER!!!!!

BUT we have fallen in love with this unique country palliative boy and wouldn’t change our situation for a million dollars. He that was not ‘expected’ has become our world 💙

Thank you Millie Moo for showing us what we didn’t know we needed 🐶

After a crazy 3 days of searching, praying and thinking about nothing except the missing Iris and Isabel 🐶🐶, I’ve woken up feeling optimistic and hopeful that a new week brings a new sighting of these adventurers.

Today I have my second ‘getting to know me’ visit to new client Milton - the beautiful Labradoodle. During our rapport building today, I’ll be sure to ask him where he thinks his fellow doggie pals may be hiding….. watch this space for updates and see you soon Milton for some ball throwing and hopefully a little sniffy walk 🙏

UPDATE 3.45PM SATURDAY

These naughty adventurers are still missing in action since Thursday arvo. No new sightings. Taco is losing the plot as he is sensing my stress and worry (see pics attached 😫)

Myself and the owners have been out searching since first light today and have a bit of a plan moving forward, but still need (and hugely appreciate) your sharing of posts and vigilance when out and about. Last sighting at 4.30pm on Thursday 22nd in bushland near the quarry just off Mills Road East and Tonkin. Any sightings please call: 0408 346 367 or 0411 689 551 (owners)

Missing from Clifton Hills Kelmscott since mid arvo Thursday. Usually would stay together although last sighting only one was seen limping near bushland. Please share and help get these gorgeous pups home safely.

// SOMETHING (and someone) A BIT DIFFERENT TODAY 😊

Wally’s hooman asked me for a helping hand to give him a wash and a bit of a fur trim at home. He will be heading to the professionals for a full groom in the near future, so this was only an interim ‘tidy up’ service whilst awaiting his appointment.

He’s still a young fella and has only ever experienced one bath before. In addition, he is an excitable and slightly anxious little pup, so we weren’t sure how he would go with being held, brushed, exposed to scary water and different noises.

I’m pleased to say that with lots of TLC, patience and allowing him extra time to feel comfortable, he was amazingly brave and we think he thoroughly enjoyed the experience - as did me and his hooMUM too 😊

📸 Photo is post bath - Sadly he wasn’t a fan of the noisy hairdryer and therefore has the ‘scruffy’ unfinished towel dried look here 😂🐶 🐾

Sure… when they walk on a loose lead, don’t react to any external stimulus and are submissive if a random ‘off lead’ dog decides to come say hello. This recent newspaper article prompted me to post about the importance of choosing the right walker for your precious pooch 🐶

What about the lead pullers, reactive puppas, anxious fur babies or just those seeking to go for sniffy walks without the dramas ?

When choosing a dog walker, sure $$$$ comes into play. But so should experience, insurance, ability and knowledge to respond to any unexpected events and a confidence to be able to deal with any and all eventualities so that the walker and the fur baby are both able to enjoy the experience 🐶

I offer dog walks from $30 for 30 mins (1 dog) … I have pet insurance, a pet first aid certificate, multiple dog training / body language certs and common sense that comes with age. I also only walk one dog at a time (unless from the same family). That’s what your $30 gets you 😊

// Problem solving 🤔 When Bucky and Pippys’ hooman asked me to help with walking her pups together, she shared her concerns that only one of them would enjoy the walk… You see Bucky loves to explore but Pippy tends to get bored, plonks her bum firmly down and refuses to move forward at times….😂 making walking them together a little challenging at times 🤨 Introducing Hel’s Happy Hounds ‘temporary’ on the spot solution….a super long leash attached to the usual double leash that has previously left Bucky feeling frustrated and Pippy in charge (no wise cracks about male v’s female needed here 😜💙❤️) Now both pups can have their way - win / win 🐶🐶
