Fred the Awesome Cat Fred is an awesome cat! He has survived almost being euthanized for being misunderstood! The story The story of me...Fred. I learned to trust my humans.

I was on the euthanize list at a high kill shelter. I was surrendered by my owners because their grand child was mean to me and I scratched him. I was listed as aggressive, mean and non-adoptable during my stay at the shelter. I was quarantined by myself in the dark (they put a blanket over my cage) next to the dog kennel for months. I withdrew, I was scared and I became aggressive and depressed.

I was literally minutes away from the being euthanized when a nice lady and her friend drove four hours in the rain to rescue me and give me a chance. They realized my life meant something and showed me that humans can be kind and loving. I even purr now! I have an awesome home with a loving family - I am an example of what happens when people owner surrender their pets and the misconception of adopting a cat listed as "non-adoptable" because it's just that - a misconception! I am a good kitty, I just had a rough go of it for many years. I learned that love and compassion make a difference. My name is Fred...and I am an AWESOME CAT!

There's not a day that goes by I don't think of you my sweet Fred. Love you so much. I can't believe it's been three yea...

My sweet adorable Fred aka "Fluff Nugget" aka "Bucket of Fluff" has gained his wings and has passed over the rainbow bridge. I was his human, and he was much more to me than a cat, he was my companion and part of my family. To say my heart is broken is a understatement. He brought so much to my life, to many of our lives. He was a strange, goofy, awesome cat. He loved music, popcorn, his polka dot blanket, having his back scratched, loved to sleep in laundry baskets or the smallest box he could find or on your shoes. He played with feathers, yarn, lasers and flashlights and loved a bit of catnip every now and then. He loved his his Daddy Juan very much and Juan loved him. He was on this earth 13 years, but was rescued by me 7 years ago. There is such a huge hole in my heart. Thank you Fred for being there for all the important miles stones in my life, for being my rock, for rescuing me. I knew I'd have to say goodbye one day, but I just wasn't ready. The mark of happiness this boy brought to my life will never be forgotten. I love you Fred. ❤
