We breed for health, athleticism, intelligence, and our dogs have a distinct look to them. We dabble and compete in Barn Hunt, Disc, Flyball, Dock Diving, Trick Training. Our dogs have earned their CGN (canine good neighbors) and are very well behaved in many different environments. Our dogs are very versatile and can perform many venues. ne. We have provided service dogs to select homes and programs. Our dogs are health tested with OFA and repeatedly come back excellent, good and normal elbows. We DNA test through Embark now over Animal Genetics as it provides more in depth information for us. Our breeding dogs are clear for PRA 1, PRA 2, PRCD, MD, DM, NCL by parentage and we only carry Ichythiosis in our dogs. Our eyes are done yearly through OFA and our hearts ausculations are done as well. Our dogs are performance bred which means they are smaller, harder, faster and slick coated. On occasion we will have a European litter from our Ukrainian imports but not as often as they are show line and geared towards being easier going family pets where as the red dogs need active lifestyle homes and are our main focus. We introduce many different experiences to our puppies before they go home. We raise them with ENS(Early Neurological Stimulation) and Puppy Culture. Puppies go home with a booklet for age appropriate exercise as well for new owners to review and a PDF with information regarding training, raw food, vaccinations, grooming and more. Puppies get exposed to different surfaces like hardwood, laminate, tile, carpet. They get desensitized to all sorts of sounds, noises, items being dropped on the floor, loud music and more. We introduce children and how they would handle them at home so our puppies will not be shy or nervous of kids potentially grabbing and pulling at them. We drive our puppies around in the car starting from 5 weeks of age we go over speed bumps, rumble strips, small safe swerves to prevent puppies from car sickness when they go home. They become very comfortable with riding in the car this way. We also pre crate train our puppies so they become accustomed to being fed individually in their own kennels. Kenneling is very beneficial for house training. We go above and beyond for our puppies to make sure they have the best start possible into their new homes and have a nice smooth easy transition. We went for an adventure yesterday. The weather the past 2 months has been BRUTAL. Heat warnings and killer humidity. It's either we exercise the dogs before 9am or after 5pm. This week has been a blessing for how mild and semi cool its been. Heatstroke is a real thing and trust me when I say you never want your dog to succumb to it. I have not had it happen to me but a puppy owner who ran her dog at a park for not even a long duration of time and she collapsed. Lucky she came back from that scary experience. Thank God! So be careful when it's hot outside! If you think your dog is overheating, cool them down by any means possible as fast as you can.

Aruba is the most sweetest most perfect dog ever. Her temperament is that of an absolute angel. Even though she is not a field bred dog this gal is a bullet for the disc and is dock obsessed. She has produced some wonderful service dogs and I couldn't be happier with her. Her lineage is European on moms but goes back to Armani on her sires side.
Her serious face in the water waiting for me to toss a toy is hilarious 😂

Another great weekend for Ivy. Today with Gordon Cheung she won men’s unlimited extreme distance with a catch of 84.1 yards (252 ft). With Lori Siddons she won women’s classic extreme distance with a catch of 72.1 yards (217.2 ft) and earned a qualifying spot at Skyhoundz world championships. Lori and Ivy also took second place in women’s light. Ivy and I also earned a qualifying spot in men’s unlimited.
I think Ivy’s identifying as a whippet.
On Saturday Ivy took second place in pairs D/A with Marissa Dakin Lachance and I just missing a qualifying spot.
Thanks Niagara disc dogs for a great weekend of Skyhoundz disc dog events. And thanks to the volunteers for all your hard work and to the competitors for making it fun and enjoyable as always.
Now to get ready for Chattanooga.

Here are two versions of a Golden Retriever within the same breed.
They will never be the same in type.
And that's ok!
Both are beautiful animals.
Just because they don't look alike doesn't mean either one is poorly bred.
I love show line Goldens, they just aren't my type of Golden Retriever that I have a passion for. I love my field bred dogs.
Get the dog that suits your needs and lifestyle.

So proud of Ivy!
After a dropless Freestyle round yesterday , Ivy followed up today teaming up with Lori Siddons to take first place in Women’s unlimited extreme distance with a catch of 58.1 yards to earn another qualifying spot to Skyhoundz World disc dog championships in Chattanooga. Ivy wants to say thanks Lori Siddons.

Savannah Banana has some interesting catching styles 🤣🤣🤣 Each dog is so different. She's so silly, sweet, dedicated, and definitely high, high drive, but settles nicely. She is obsessed with disc and dock. I'm looking forward to getting into lure and hunting with her.

On a very hot day, Ivy earned a qualifying spot in the Open division at the Skyhoundz World Disc Dog championships in September. Chattanooga, here we come! Thanks to Scugog Disc Dog for hosting a great event, and thanks to the judges and all the participants for a fun day!

My girl Savannah is closing in on her master title for NADD! Her personal best is 23 feet! When I started with her last year she was jumping between 16 and 18 feet! Huge improvements 🥰 We played together for her first time in an Updog tournament last month and recieved 5 achievements so far! she really gives it her all in everything we do and I can't wait to play more games together!

The dogs did fantastic over the weekend. We did 2 days of Dock Diving with NADD and 1 day of disc with Updog. Thunder needs 1 more jump in the Master division to get his title. He has 3 previous senior jumps and jumped 3 Master this past weekend 😆 his personal best this weekend was 23 feet! Aurora needs 1 more senior jump to get her senior title unless she jumps 3 more times in the Master division. Her personal best this weekend was 22.8 feet! Savannah was amazing this weekend as this was her 2nd competition in her life so far. She needs 3 more jumps in Master to get her title and her personal best was 23 feet as well! Maybe we can get to elite next competition! Spicy dawg jumped her little heart out yesterday and pulled a Master title and now has a personal best of 23 feet!!! So close to jumping into Elite! Molson my Doberman we had to do some adjustments with how I throw and where my feet are when I stand. He was jumped 4ft behind the edge of the Dock and we realized he was using my back foot as an indicator to jump. So I moved both feet up to the edge and threw and this guy did so much better! He had a personal best of 24 feet this weekend! He jumped himself into Elite! Hopefully next competition he can earn his Elite title! Practice makes perfect! Our Updog scores haven't been put onto the website yet. The dogs all did great as we entered throw and go, funkey, spaced out and time warp. I didn't enter far out because I'm still working on my long throws 🤣

Spicy decided she was going to jump herself straight into the Master division her first time jumping in a competition 🤣 her first jump was 22'4, and her second jump was her personal best of 22'10. 😲 I'm shocked. She reminds me of her auntie Sloane, that's for sure.
My word is that the loch ness monster!
I am still working on Spicy landing skills. We took a bit of a break, so we're getting back into the swing of things! She reminds me a lot of her auntie Sloane.
Pilatus(Thunder/Serein) and Phoenix(Subaru/Hunter) dock diving. Pilatus is teaching the little one how to jump!
