🙂Consult with Raja from BARCS! (i miss my barcs friends❤️). I don’t post everything I do any more-just letting you know I’m here if you need me! We went through in detail what to do about:

🐾What’s the most important thing?..Taking a leadership role using clear communication

- Structure (daily)
- Separation-related issues
- Everything dogs need
- The importance of Play (the best exercise is play time with other dogs)
- Resource guarding
- Exercise needs (this is half of it)
- Lease skills / handling (using the right tool the right way)
- Environmental controls
- Basic skills to teach and improve first (the first thing i teach a dog is their name)
- Crating, use of dog beds
- Use of indoor / house leash
- Correcting jumping up etc
- Management
- Reactivity / barrier frustration (no staring rule)
- Impulse control
- Structured walks
- Adjustment period
- And more..

🐾Separation Issues - Another top 10 behavior concern..LIME is not a severe case, thankfully!
There’s a lot we can do to cause separation-related problems and a lot we can do to solve those problems.

🙂Guess the mix…..thats right!-Saint Bernard and Husky! ALBUS The only behavior concern here was in the top 10-Leash Pulling..so we had a consult on teaching Albus the skill of Loose Leash Walking & working on Leash Pressure Communication and using the best handling tool the right way🐾If you need help with Pulling, Reactivity, or any other concerning behaviors you are welcome to text me at (443) 416-5126

🐩It’s not the biggest behavior issue, but it’s close and a super common problem, Reactivity On Walks (over-reacting) is very often mistaken for aggression (which of course is the biggest behavior problem). It’s barrier frustration (they can’t approach or get away) - yes it is sometimes aggression - and dogs need help learning the skill of being able to handle not interacting with every dog that they want to, or avoiding them..Just let me know if you need help with this..
.It’s a complex issue that requires a lot of effort to correct and manage. We did a full consultation on this with CHAMP! I think I remember seeing him at BARCS when I worked there:) Gosh, what a super sweet and smart boy!❤️When I went in the house he just walked up to me, sat and stared up at me😂

🐶Milo, Seymore and Mom found me on Nextdoor (thanks very much to the people who are so supportive and recommend me!).

🐾Well, this is where a full behavior & training consult was needed-we went over just about everything —This will be a complete Restart with training sessions to follow up, as many as needed.

If the needs are met, good behavior is what you get.

🐕Gunner was a little unsure about me, but warms up quickly! Dogs that are under-socialized with people, or were in dysfunctional families always respond this way, and that’s ok:) We went through what to work on to make sure everyones on the right track with correcting over-reactivity and improving his comfort level with unfamiliar people!

Dogs like and need Routine.

🙂Wind💨 Water💦 Shade🌳 is what we’re looking for on Dog Walks in hot/humid weather, and Shorter walks when necessary..Don’t forget to bring water if you’re going to be out for a while (dogs need water more than we realize, just like us😂) I’m super careful with your dogs and have never had a problem!👍🏻
