Good evening! We have recieved a high volume of requests.
To ensure quality care and timely service, schedule standing appointments for your pets' nail trims and baths!
We are FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED- once our calender is full and deposits are in, our priority is pet sitting... which means you may have to wait 1-2 weeks for the next available appointment. Contact us with any questions. 🐾 Thank you, everyone!

Posting for transparency:

Hi friends! It's Vanessa.
Between Brendan and myself, our calender tends to fill up pretty quickly. We are not "JUST PET SITTERS!" 🏠

We juggle all the tasks of running a business ourselves- from bookkeeping, to creating social media posts, returning phone calls and messages, scheduling appointments, driving to/from your homes to care for your pets, bathing a nervous dog or trimming a scaredy cats nails and much more...

Same day appointments are not typically available, so please understand that you may have to wait a few days or up to a week for service. Scheduling standing appointments is a good way to avoid the wait.

You can ALWAYS leave us a message and we will reply and confirm your requests as soon as possible.
Unless we are currently pet sitting for you, please allow 24 to 48 hours for us to get back with you.

We are always doing our best, and we seriously appreciate all of your love and support! 🐾

An Honest Note from Your Pet Sitter

I’m speaking on behalf of many professional pet sitters when I say this: we love what we do. We care for your pets like they’re our own, and we often go above and beyond—watering plants, keeping your home clean and odor-free, bringing in mail, and making sure everything feels just as you left it (or better) when you return.

But here’s the honest part:
While some clients are incredibly generous and express appreciation with tips or kind words on a Google review (and we’re so grateful for that), many don’t acknowledge us at all. Not even a thank you.

Most people don’t realize that when you book through a pet sitting company, we only receive a percentage of what you pay. And while we’re not in this for the money, appreciation does matter.

If you’re able to take a two or three-week vacation, please consider that a small gesture, whether it’s a thank you note, a tip, or just a kind word, goes a long way in reminding us why we do what we do.

Thanks for listening.

Sincerely,
Someone who truly loves your pets as much as you do

Raccoon in Hayes tests positive for rabies
A baby raccoon found on Thursday, July 17 towards the end of Glass Road and brought to the
Severn Yachting Center in Hayes has tested positive for the rabies virus. Anyone who handled the raccoon or has information regarding any exposure to this animal (bite, scratch or contact with saliva by open wound or eyes, nose, mouth) should contact the Gloucester County Health Department at 804-693-2445. Exposures also include direct contact between your pet and the rabid animal.
This incident is a reminder that rabies is present in Virginia wildlife such as bats, raccoons, foxes and skunks which sometimes infect domestic animals like dogs and cats. Rabies is caused by a virus that attacks the nervous system and is lethal if proper medical care is not given following an exposure. The most common source of exposure to rabies is a bite by a rabid animal. Rabies may also be transmitted by saliva from a rabid animal coming into contact with open wounds, the mouth, eyes or nose.
The Three Rivers Health District would like to remind all residents to follow these important rabies prevention guidelines:
—If your pet and/or livestock has been in contact with an animal that might be rabid, check for injuries and contact your local animal control office.
—Seek medical treatment promptly for any animal bite to ensure appropriate and timely evaluation and treatment. All animal exposures must be taken seriously.
—Do not approach wild animals, especially raccoons, bats, foxes, or skunks. If you think a wild animal needs help, contact the Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources at 804-367-1000 or a licensed wildlife rehabilitator for guidance.
—Bring stray domestic animals, especially if they appear ill or injured, to the attention of local animal control authorities. If you think a stray animal needs help, contact your local animal control office for guidance.
—Have your veterinarian vaccinate your dogs, cats, ferrets and selected livestock. Keep the vaccinations up to date. State law requires all dogs and cats over the age of four months to be vaccinated against rabies.
—Confine your pets and livestock to your property.
—Securely seal garbage containers with lids.
If you are bitten by a wild or stray animal do not panic. Wash the wound(s) thoroughly with warm soapy water and contact animal control, your healthcare provider or the health department for further recommendations.
