Welcome to Barton Farms! We raise American Corgis, Pembroke Welsh Corgis, cattle & Chickens! We also have Brahman cattle.

We raise maran, ameracauna, and olive egger chickens and hope to have hatching eggs and chicks in 2025.

Was your New Years Resolution to get a Corgi?? We can help with that!! It’s looking like Noodle will be having puppies! These will be fluffy and standard coats! We can’t wait!

I think we are up to three layers now since the winter solstice! Hoping the cold front doesn’t zap our progress! Winter is beautiful, but I have a hard time seeing it as anything other than challenging and problematic! But, every season has opportunity for blessings! Hope everyone had a Good Christmas and relaxing first day of 2025!

Silverudds hybrids
F1 olive eggers
Wheaten F1 olive eggers
Back crossed olive eggers
Fibro crosses
Speckled egg crosses

I will probably offer hatching eggs in rainbow packs, general backyard mix (name coming soon), Black copper marans, or blue/green dozens!

I plan to hatch chicks too! Working on a website where you will have the option to preorder chicks!

Spring can’t come soon enough!

Sansa girl turns 7 today! She is the matriarch of our program and the best dog I have ever owned! Snapped this photo this morning and she doesn’t look a day over 2 if you ask me 🤣

It’s been a long time since we had an egg, but on the first day of winter solstice this little sapphire gem decided to start laying! Can’t help but feel blessed!

These two little pullets are Isabelle Ameracaunas! They are a cross between lavender and wheaten! They may be my favorites in the flock! They give a sort of pastel appearance! They will be crossed with marans or welsummer to make olive eggers!

Been looking for this heifer since Thursday! Seen her once Sunday for a brief second and then she was gone again! Showed up today with her calf! Pretty little heifer!

My white ameracauna rooster! He is NFS! I plan to use him for olive eggers and I also have a white ameracauna hen so I will hatch some Ameracauna chicks in February!

This is our favorite chicken! Her name is Effie Trinket. She is a crested cream legbar! She will lay a blue egg and be crossed with our maran rooster to make olive eggers!

Had the opportunity to add this Ayam Cemani Roo to the flock this weekend! We are excited about him! We will use him to make some cool fibro (dark skin) crosses this spring! Snapped some pics of a few other grow outs as well!

It’s always a good day when your best cow has a calf and it’s a heifer! I also let the chickens try the pumpkin carving thing and they definitely understood the challenge! Leaves are changing and it’s already looking beautiful!

Started winterizing the coops tonight! Coming next, paint!! Rebecca and I had different ideas on color! I told her if mine looks bad, which it sometimes does, we will do over with hers 🤣🤣

Snapped this picture of Sprinkles this morning while working some cows! She won’t be 2 until March, so decided to wait to breed her until next Summer! She will continue her reign as queen around here for the winter! Very proud of how good she is turning out to be! Very friendly, but she does like to stick her head through the fence and eat our rose bushes!
