Meet Chuck,Tatiana and Watermelon, this precious bonded family is in desperate need of a forever loving home or urgent foster by the beginning of the winter at no fault of their own. The previous owner had their pigs,goats and chicken and was selling their house and travelling across country in a camper a mutual friend of the family reached out to another friend to ask to take them in since they had 3 days before they were leaving and the prospective buyers had backed out, the family took them in to give them time to sell so they didnt have to go to auction, they are currently utd on vaccines and Chuck got neutered so they didnt continue breeding. They are all healthy and current on everything including hoof trims. The family works seasonal and doesn't plan on feeding them throughout the winter as their struggling to make ends meet now , Chuck, Tatiana and Watermelon are pretty friendly and Tatiana is the friendliest where she will roll over and let you scratch her belly and get as much lovin as she can, Chuck and Watermelon are friendly but a tad skittish but want to be loved just the same. Whatever Wednesday, yes I made that up!

Right now we have so many vet bills that we need to get covered for Sabrina, Lucifer, OH 3 and countless fundraisers that we haven’t been able to post yet. We will have an update on all, later this week.

It’s scary, we say yes and do what we do for the piggies…. But it’s days like this we feel defeated.

This is Gina, I’ve included a picture of me (far left) at my opening day for work. Why? I’m a teacher and a new school year just started. The start of the year is such an exciting time but also stressful as I have to balance rescue and work. I work for an inner city school district and the poverty I see on a daily basic is heartbreaking. To then shift to piggy rescue to save animals from horrible conditions, many with a heartbreaking story. It can be a lot!!!!!

Rescue is my life and is the life of all of our admins, we do this for the love we have for animals. We all balance a lot and wouldn’t change what we do.

It feels like the weight of the world is on our shoulders at times. We can’t stop fighting, we need to be strong, brave and resilient for each piggy that comes our way.

We’ve launched the cutest campaign in honor of TOFU!

Now let’s all, “Smile Like Tofu.”

Tofu (previously Porkchop), is a senior pig rescued from a neglect case. Animal control was involved & made owners surrender him immediately to rescue. He lived his first 10 years locked in a tiny pen without clean water or proper nutrition/feed. He was living in feet of mud with no dry area to escape the rats that were feasting on him. He was fed dog food all his life (toxic to pigs). No human interactions as the pen was not accessible and bolt cutters needed to be used to enter to save him. Anna showed up with volunteers to load him & transported him straight to the vet due to his condition. His skin was suffocated with mange, dirt, etc. He is on the road to recovery and thriving. He had a testicular tumor that was removed but unsure if it metastasized. He needs routine checks and diagnostics to monitor his cancer diagnosis.

8/14 Update: Check out sweet Lucifer, he is healing and doing great after surgery. His mass was removed and sent to be biopsied, his neuter was a success. We will give another update once we get news with the result of his biopsy. In the meantime time, we will get his final invoice tomorrow and still need to fundraise a BUNCH. To say this has been a hard week is an understatement. Just as Lucifer leaves The University of Florida, Sabrina arrives tomorrow. Rooter is the spotted pig. He's roughly 5 years old (neutered).He is named after a pig that lived at a bed and breakfast near where W***y Nelson had his big 4th of July shows in Texas. He is very very sweet. He's trying to lose a few pounds. He Loves to take mud baths and his favorite snack are apples.
***can be adopted separately, sleeps alone**

Wilbur is the white boy and again is around 5 years old (neutered). He surrendered to a rescue from an apartment in the city. He can be grouchy/bratty when food is involved, but once boundaries are established all should be well. He loves bananas and hates broccoli.

Pumba is the little black guy. He is also around 5 years old like the others (neutered). He tends to get bullied a lot. He has to be separated for feed time as he will not defend his food. He is working on putting some weight on. He is shy and can take a few days to warm up to you. He eats very slowly. He really likes watermelon.

All pigs have been wormed.

They’re being rehomed as Mom is unable to financial care for them. She needs assistance with feed and all care. If anyone is able to help donate some feed/straw in the meantime, it can be called into the local feed store. Please message me

🛑urgent foster or forever home needed ASAP, family unable to feed & domestic issues🛑

Millie Mae: 2.5 year old unspayed female that was previously rescued is loosing her home yet again. She was dealt an unfortunate card and has to be bounced to another placement. She loves attention on her terms as most pigs. She ignores cats. She’s currently an outdoor piggy but was previously an indoor pig as a piglet. She is litter box trained indoors as well as current placement brings her inside occasionally.

She does not like attention during feeding time and can get protective over her bowl. Don’t we all want to eat in peace?

‼️‼️Miscommunication with appointment and now need to meet our goal!
Goal: $1,255/ $2843

Update 8/12 @1:20: They called, it looks like under ultrasound that they can’t find the second testicle, and the testicle with the mass is abnormal and has what looks like a hematoma or an abscess. They want to do a CT scan while he is still under, to determine what this mass is and if he has another testicle, and it will cost around $500. The alternative is to do the surgery, but if they open him up and there is intestines attached to the mass, he will likely have to be put to sleep on the table. We now have a new estimate since we’re clearly doing a CT scan. 🥹

Sweet Lucifer was part of a horrible hoarding case in Florida, him and his brothers made it to a rescue that they now call home. Unfortunately their previous owner neglected them and all of the piggies were a phone call away from being euthanized. His two brothers were able to be neutered but due to the complications of his mass he must have his surgery at UF, this is not going to be cheap we have an estimate attached. Lucifer is currently separated from his brothers until this surgery occurs and we want and need him to be healthy, he’s a senior and deserves to live the rest of his life with his family and healthy. His owner failed him, we will not fail him and we will do whatever it takes. Lucifer is currently at UF and will have his surgery tomorrow, he needs prayers and positive piggy vibes. We weren’t expecting this appointment/expense so soon but he’s there now and we need to fundraise our piggy tails off!!!!!

🐽MEET BAILEY🐽

This handsome fella is looking for a new place to call home at no fault of his own. He’s an indoor piggy who uses the potty outside. Bailey does the cutest thing he sucks his lips when he eats something that he likes!! He loves spinach and carrots. Bailey grew up with teens in the house so he hasn’t been around young children. The family also has a small dog that Bailey is fine with. The one time he has bitten someone was when he was fed by hand which was a human error that is avoided and Bailey has no biting issues.
