I love this life and this ever changing pack. So much to be learned with all of them
Yesterday Lilah was acting strangely. Opening her mouth and chewing seemed painful during breakfast. So grateful my bf is my vet and always fits us in. We found that she had a fever, facial swelling and after some bloodwork and tests it was discovered she has puppy strangles. We caught it so fast and she came home a few hours later. I’ve been rescuing for 17 years and I’ve seen a lot of things but this is our first time with this diagnosis. Antibiotics and steroids for a couple weeks and she’ll be just fine
Houston is showing more signs of aging. He requires help getting up anytime he lays or falls, but now his back foot has been giving him troubles. This is why I get very little sleep but I don’t mind. One day he won’t need me anymore so I’ll take everything I can get until then.
Scrappy and Velma are doing soooo great. They’re so happy and sweet. Everyday they come a little further than the day before. They’re going to make some family very happy
Everybody who enters my life teaches me something. Good or bad it’s a lesson learned.
If you’d like to donate to our pack (food and supplies) you’ll find our Venmo in our bio
If you’d like to donate to vet bills please head over to @lisachiarelli (one if my favorites ❤️) to find the different ways you can donate and help us continue to save these pups from the RIP lists in our local shelters.
Velma and Scrappy would like to know if there’s a Yelp for dogs? If so they’d like to give a 1 star rating for that BS bath stuff they had to deal with. They did feel a tad crazy after so maybe 2 stars 🤷♀️.
Mia got her stitches out and was stoked she wasn’t in the bath crew.
Puppy Lilah is a skilled walker now and also picks up treasures to bring home
Scrappy and Velma are working on their leash skills. I’m pretty sure they belonged to a hoarder so everything is new to them. Literally everything. But they’re doing great. No longer completely dependent on each other
Houston is still doing well for a super senior. We got him a new supplement called jope @petjope I’ll let you know if it works. I’m not expecting a miracle but hopeful he’ll be more comfortable and able to get up more on his own. @cheri_wulff_lucas
It’s getting warmer in so cal so there’s going to be lots of videos of getting dizzy trying to follow Pixie as she leads the pack of Littles
Happy Sunday 💜.
All my little adoptables are available thru @lisachiarelli
Is there anyone who would like to experience the amazing joy of puppy birth? It’s so awesome to watch them be born, mom taking amazing care of them as they grow and you get all the fun and puppy breath. This girl showed up on someone’s porch in LA recently. She needs a hero because the people in the home can’t keep her. She’ll end up in the shelter where they will all get sick. If you can help please contact @realgoodrescue They’ll provide you with everything you need.
Just a quick post on our peaceful pack welcoming new puppy Lilah. She has I pretty big cut on her leg from being alone in a deserted area. She’s healing well. If anybody would like to donate puppy food, toys or any other treats to our pack I’ll post the link in our stories. Thank you ❤️❤️❤️.

This week @lisachiarelli and I saw a @rita_earl_blackwell post. It always seems we focus on the same dogs 💜. Obviously he joined our pack. This skinny little pup was dumped at the shelter with his owners admitting they hadn’t fed him in 2 weeks 😳. I’m assuming there was a mental deficit there somewhere. Thankfully that life is all behind him and he’ll never know it again. The shelter did their best to get him healthy but he still was at risk because he had been there too long.
So welcome Max who also goes by Dexter Bootycheeks (grandkids😂😂). Bella has been teaching him about zoomies in the dirt. He also loves running around and wrestling Madison and Sissy. He’s a very sweet chill puppy. And according to Lisa I’m really good at putting weight on skinny babies 🤷♀️.
Pups are learning about walking on leashes. Granny likes to take it slower and take in all the sights and smells. Then she rolls over for you to rub her belly. She does this a lot when she sees her human friends when we’re on walks. It’s the slowest walk ever. She definitely makes me slow down and look up more often 💜.
Granny Eunice would also like you all to know turtles do not like you sniffing their face and her lip is fine. ✌🏼
