November 28, 2015 we adopted Alisa, who at the time was estimated to be about 1 year old. She was timid, afraid, and wary of people and her surroundings. At less than a year old, Alisa was found as a stray, living on the streets for who knows how long, and twice her size because of being one huge ball of fur being severely matted and not groomed. She was then taken to a shelter where she was inevitably rescued. Fast forward to her adoption and taking her home, Alisa would literally sleep in a corner, back to the wall, with one eye opened. We bought her a little house where she could feel protected and safe. It took several months before she would finally feel comfortable enough to sleep/nap outside of her house. But there were times when she would wake from sleep jumping up like a cat, landing on four paws, and looking around her as if expecting a fight. With patience and love, that frightened little girl is gone. Now she is a diva, a princess, and sometimes even a little bully to her brothers and Fanny 😕🫣 Pets in shelters/rescues aren't broken; they're broken hearted. So take a chance on that scared and troubled little furry, they will thrive if you allow them ❤️ Happy 8th Gotcha Day to our crazy, annoying, funny, sweet, and loving baby girl. 🎉🥳🎂 We love you, Alisa ❤️

Sebastian's audition for the part of Maximillion #maxthebionicdog #butmaxwasagermanshepherd #retrotv • This past Thursday evening Sebastian suffered a setback and had a mild seizure that lasted for a couple of minutes. His limbs and body stiffened and he was unresponsive. We immediately drove him to Pet Emergency; they checked him over and ran more tests. • The good news is that his test results showed improvement from his last re-check on January 21st. The bad news is that they can't determine what caused the seizure at this time. Another good news is that it hasn't happened again. We've been monitoring him closely and hoping it's an isolated incident. • For the most part he's back to his playful, happy self. Thank you to everyone who's been checking up on him ❤️❤️❤️

💬: Meet Bear ... he was surrendered to the shelter with bite wounds on his head and his left eye popping out. Sadly his owner requested for him to be euthanized. But instead, the shelter vet decided Bear was worth saving even if his eye was not. On December 2017, a rescue we volunteer for asked if we had room to foster him. One look was all it took and off we went to pick him up. That same evening, we texted some very good friends his picture, which then became frequent updates and more pictures 📷. Eventually, a meet and greet. On February 10, 2018, Bear went home with his furever family @aouchi1 ♥️♥️♥️ and even has his own IG account @bear2therescue 😃. We all miss Bear but our hearts are lighter knowing he's happy with his perfect family who loves and appreciates all that he is, missing eye and all 😜
