And.... Beacon..... was invited to the AKC Agility Championship to be held in Orlando December 2022!
This event is held in conjunction with the AKC National Championships where in 2021 she was Reserve Best In Show!
How cool is that????

Even though Beacon is retired from the show ring and on to doing other things now that she loves to do... it make us smile that she is #20 Sporting Dog STILL! And that is with only 18 shows for 2022 compared to ...well just take a look for yourselves.
We hope to have another exciting "brag" coming soon... so keep watching... she hasn't been resting on her laurels in her time home.

We have been a bit quiet lately and wanted to update what's been happening.

Beacon retired from the show ring in mid March and is back home with Lee and Jen, Tide and Reign.
She has more than done all asked of her and for sure made a splash in the world of purebred dogs and we can not be more proud of her! She will go back and play in Agility, the field and maybe some obedience.

We want to thank everyone for following her these past couple of years, clapping for her successes and sending all the good thoughts.
All of our thanks to her handler Annmarie Ruggerie without her..... well it probably never would have happened.

We sure are proud that Beacon has titles in front AND behind her name! Not only obedience and agility, but field titles(JH/NAVHDA 112 Prize1) as well. She was the ONLY dog in the Top Ten all breed dogs who carries these! Actually you have to look all the way down to #41 to the Chessie, Hank MH to find a field title. Her littermates Blue and Nixie have also proven themselves in the field. Blue is a CH/ UT prize 1 and Nixie is a CH/MH.
It is important to us that GWPs are always able to be working gun dogs and then be a "show dog" because they are put together right.

2021- What a year it was.
To finish up as the #5 show dog in the country out of ALL BREEDS and as the #2 SPORTING DOG is really mind blowing.
Winning 3 GWP SPECIALTIES in 2021 (Del Val, 2021 GWPCA Regional, 2021 National)
BOB and making the final cut in the group at Westminster.
Winning her 25th BIS making her the All Time Winning Bitch in GWP history
Winning RBIS at the 2021 AKC National Championship, the countries biggest dog show

Our team consists of 5 women, Lee Friess, Jennifer Jacobs, Bernee Brawn, Pat Laurans and Annmarie Ruggieri. We have celebrated together, laughed together, cried together and each played their role in Beacon's successes. One more needs to added to the list- Judy Cheshire, our mentor in all things pedigree and breeding!

And then there are all of you who have cheered along with us, who have congratulated us and been genuinely happy for her successes, who have been there to clap for her ringside and to hug Annmarie when they did well. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
