🍪 Is there anything better than some homemade dog cookies for your pooch? No added preservatives, no added colors, just yummy goodness that my 4 seniors approve of!
RECIPE:
2C organic coconut flour
2 eggs (organic and pasture raised)
1C cottage cheese (organic is best)
2T 100% pure canned pumpkin
2tsp chopped fresh parsley
Splash of water
Rolled out the moist dough and use a small dessert glass to cut out circles from the dough (you can use any cookie cut out of choice or just use a knife to cut into squares). Place on parchment paper and bake 245F for about 45-60 minutes until a nice golden color. Let cool and store in the fridge for up to 5 days or the freezer for up to 3-4 months!
I store mine in the freezer and take out about 3 days worth of dog cookies to put in a container for my dogs to enjoy as a bedtime snack 🐾 Bonus points if you add a fresh raspberry or strawberry with that dog cookie 😉

There have been no official recalls by any of these pet food companies as of yet just a lot of report of dogs refusing to eat their food plus vomiting, diarrhea and being lethargic.
If your dog is exhibiting ANY of these symptoms please stop feeding the current food and see if you can return it (usually within 30 days of purchase but need your receipt and the bag of food).
Batches of different food are currently being tested by different vets to see if they can find a cause as to why so many pets are getting sick.
It is up to you as the pet parent to be aware as to what pet food brands are causing cats and dogs to get sick and to keep your pets safe 🐾❤️

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! 🦃 I am thankful for all my clients and their great pets that I have met over the years since starting my business in 2016!
‼️ As we go into the holiday season, if you haven’t heard, there is a mysterious respiratory dog illness that is highly contagious going around different states that seems to be spreading at an alarming rate. Symptoms are similar to kennel cough but the normal antibiotics prescribed are not helping this illness as it continues to be investigated.
Some dogs have died from this mysterious respiratory illness. So the moment your dog starts showing abnormal behavior(sneezing, coughing, trouble breathing, lethargy, not wanting to eat/drink) please get him/her to a vet to be evaluated along with asking your vet if they have had any recent respiratory/kennel cough like symptom dogs inside their clinic. If the answer is yes, you may request for a vet visit out in your car or outside instead of going inside the veterinary clinic in order to keep your dog safe.
I HIGHLY recommend keeping your dog away from high dog traffic areas at this time until we know what it is (large commercial kennels, pet stores, dog parks, day care, etc).
Fortunately, I have not heard any reported cases in Ohio as of yet, only some surrounding states but it is always better to be on the cautious side at this time.

The quilted microsuede has had three muddy dogs all over it after a fun post rain outdoor walk because everyone was feeling cooped up 😜
It’s had ice cream drippings because a pup cone once in awhile is well deserved on a hot summer day.
Years later and it still barely shows any wear and tear which is why it’s in my Friday Favorite list!
The hammock portion helps dogs feel safe as well so they can lay down and relax without fear of sliding off the seat 💺

******!!! URGENT !!! ALL LICKING COUNTY RESIDENTS!!! ******
Monday Morning at 2:26 AM my neighborhood in Thornville was hit by this man who got into all unlocked vehicles and stole what he found of value. A police report has been filed with the Licking County Sheriff's Department but after looking deeper the SAME MAN has been spotted on cameras stealing items out of unlocked cars so far in Newark, Heath and Hebron neighborhoods as well!
Any item that you would be upset if stolen, please immediately remove from all your vehicles and keep your property and cars locked up every night!
If any of your cameras catch this man on them please make a report to the Licking County Sheriff's Department.

Balanced Raw Food Meal For My Dogs: Whole Ground Quail
Raw Dog Food Diets are kind of like Pitbull Terrier stereotypes in my eyes. Everyone is quick to give you their opinion on the breed and judge you for it without owning an American Pitbull Terrier themselves. I, personally, would not take raw feeding advice from a person that has never had their dog on a balanced raw diet.
There are so many myths about switching your dog to a raw diet or even the myth that it's so horrible to include some raw/fresh food in your pet's kibble. Remember, adding only 15-20% of any fresh/raw food that is safe for dogs can drastically improve their health.
Unfortunately, the majority of veterinarians see the bad side of raw feeding. The people they see are the ones who aren't feeding a balanced raw diet and their dog gets sick or their dog isn't getting all of the essential vitamins and minerals due to it not being balanced. Raw feeding is not rocket science BUT it does take a lot of research to know what you're doing and this is why I always recommend speaking to a professional that does do raw feeding with his/her animals and knows what he/she is doing.
NOW you absolutely CAN NOT just give your dog ground beef or a chicken breast and call it raw feeding. Raw feeding includes an appropriate balance of meat, organs and bone with or without the additional additives of fresh fruit or veggies.
In the video below I am feeding a whole ground quail, with the feather, bones, organs, and all the good stuff plus some pureed veggies. This is only ONE way to feed raw, especially if you get a bit queasy looking at this and are thinking YUCK this isn't for me!
There are plenty of commercially made raw diets that you can start your dog on without having to worry about if your meat, organ and bone portions are correct.

I know, first hand, that dogs get stressed out when left in a new environment, and excessive barking usually results in your dog not sleeping well, not eating, and even overly anxious for you to return. My job, as your dog's caretaker, is to give individualized one-on-one care in a happy, stress-free environment.
I offer CAT DROP-IN VISITS/DOG WALKING in the comfort of your own home while you're away. This allows dogs to have a potty break, and they stay much happier while keeping their stress levels down (especially for senior dogs). Allow your felines to enjoy some wet food and fresh water and a scooped litter box while you’re away.
I also offer DOG BOARDING in the comfort of my own home for up to three dogs MAXIMUM. This allows me to give lots of personalized one-on-one attention to my canine guests with play sessions galore and adventures outside when weather permits. With my private in-home boarding your dog won't be in a loud kennel environment with excessive barking, therefore, will be stress-free and happier as a result while you're out of town! I am also located in a quiet cul de sac neighborhood that your pup will love! :)
