Whalsay Riding Club will be holding an online auction to raise funds for the club. The auction will run from 29th August - 2nd September, any donations would be gratefully received. Please message the club page or Kristina Eunson with details of any donations.

Whalsay Riding Club has applied to the Community Council for £500 funding from the PB event again so we need all our Whalsay resident members and supporters, 12 years and over, to go along to the primary school damorns night between 6pm and 9pm to vote for wis 🙂

Last night saw a return to riding club lessons. Brilliant to see all the Monday night riders back and get going again. Everybody did fantastic! Pity it felt like minus 5 degrees but that's just Shetland for you!! 🐎😁🐎🥶🐎😁

We have had a fantastic and informative morning at the club with the BHS Horse Healthcare Clinic. Huge thanks to them for making the journey to Whalsay. Whalsay Riding Club were honoured to receive a very generous donation from the family of club stalwart Elaine Irvine, who sadly passed so suddenly last October. Elaine was very committed to the club and loved spending time watching the bairns progressing especially her two granddaughters Gemma and Aaliyah, who presented the donation on what would have been Elaine's 69th Birthday. She is missed by everyone. Thank you so much.

We recently ran a logo competition for our junior members to help us design a new logo. We got some excellent entries which made choosing a winner very difficult. Well done to Una Jamieson who’s drawing was chosen as our new logo!

I’ve uploaded all entries for everyone to see as we think they are all super. Well done to all our members for taking part!
