I am devastated to announce that yesterday, Goose passed away.
Goose was a very special boy, he was extremely placid and loved to cuddle. I fell in love with him the moment I first laid eyes on him as a tiny baby. He got his name as he had a cute brother, Ducky, who unfortunately passed at a few weeks old. Goose was also one of my top Ridgebacks, and was retired from showing a few months ago. I was hoping he would have a few years of happy retirement, but life doesn't always work out as we plan.
I am heartbroken 💔 but I am glad he is no longer suffering.
Goose had a few fans in the Cavy fancy, and I know they will be sad to hear this news.
Rest in peace, Goosey. Womble and I are having lots of extra cuddles because we both miss you, but we know you're popcorning over rainbow bridge with Ducky and Big Red x

Today was Worthing and Eastergate show, and we had a lovely day 😊 The pigs did well, Jira came 3rd out of 6 in non-selfs, and Lampetia won best NEB with Persephone coming second! 🥈
I was also judging pets alongside Charlie A. Norris of That Norris Cavy Stud and Jayne Matthews. I got to meet lots of lovely pretty piggies with great characters which made for some tough decisions, but the funkies seemed to be acing it today!
Sloopy also came along today for a trip out and he lapped up all the attention (and treats!) from everyone. Lyndon got the honours of being the first offical photographer in the UK to get to photograph a Devil 🤘
Of course I also spent some time with my cousin and we got a lovely (cough cough) selfie with the sun in our eyes ☀️

Thankyou to all my lovely friends today for being so supportive of me, it means a lot and it definitely helps❤️🥰

Meet Sloopy, the first full Devil here at Angel's Pigs.
He's a big boy, and such a sweetheart. He's made a great therapy piggy as he loves a cuddle and is rather chatty, as you can hear ❤️

Today was Fareham show, we didn't do too amazingly, but we didn't expect to as we weren't sure if we were going. However, the support from friends definitely made it worth it ❤️
I didn't take many pics while there, just one of RJ peeking out the stalls, so I've stuck on some selfies with RJ and Persephone to make up for it

Today is Remembrance Sunday 🏵️
Poppy will be one on Wednesday, and got her name due to when she was born.
Don't forget to join the two minutes silence at 11 to remember all the men, women and animals who lost their lives for us

We had a lovely day today at Solent show for Wessex, IOW and SCC Pets! The first victory was that we didn't get lost on the way there! 🥳
All the pigs did well, with everyone coming away with something 😊
Poppy got best TSW adult on the Solent side, and Lampetia got best NEB on both sides, beating Cheesecake! But the pets did fantastic today. Roo got best U5 boar under SCC, then came second out of 12 in the U5 Boar/sow challenge. RJ got a 3rd out of 9 rough adult boars, with Zebbie getting a 2nd and 3rd out of 6 in rough adult sows. Twirlywoo got quite a few firsts, but came second adult owned under IOW, beaten by none other that Speedy! Speedy then went on to win best overall pet!! 🥳
So I'm super proud of the piggies, as always, and I'm pleased to have spent a great day with friends 🥰

Today was Mid Sussex show, and it was a lovely day! The pigs did well. Cheesecake won best NEB, Twirlywoo won best Rexoid pet, Poppy won best Tort & White, and Asclepius came second in Veterans! He's a special old man 🥰
We also received a certificate from the Southern CC for winning the most points in NEB in 2023 🥳

Yesterday was a brilliant day at Black Country show. I had the pleasure of judging pets, and there were some real characters which made it a tough job!
I was also able to award two "Judges Merit" rosettes to piggies that had special qualities but didn't make it to the final line up. 🏆
We still took along some of the purebred pigs to show. Lampetia got reserve NEB out of 33!!! On the RVCC side, and all the Ridgebacks got cards (bar poor Asclepius 😂) there were 17 Ridgebacks in total, which is an amazing turnout!
I also took Nutmeg, my tortoiseshell boar, and Poppy, who got 3rd out of 10 tort & whites
All in all, it was a lovely day. Thankyou Jme for my lovely flowers, too 💐

Today was Black Country Show, I'll do a proper post about that tomorrow once I'm rested 💤
But my Facebook memories has reminded me that 11 years ago today, I picked up Little Pig and Pip from a local rescue centre. I had had a bit of a gap from keeping guineas for a few years, then I accidentally ended up with two sheltie boars (Smokey and Simba) and once again got bitten by the bug.
I had gone to the rescue centre just to have a look, but I fell in love with my lil boys and couldn't leave without them 😂🤦‍♀️
