Thursday morning 🐾
At the playground this morning I was joined by Fergus, Buddy, Archie, Daisy, Flòraidh and Doris.
It was a morning filled with lots of race and chase, wrestling games, chasing the tiny tyre toy and on top of all that the group managed to have plenty of time to sniff and explore through all the frosty ground 😁🚀❄️😊

Thursday afternoon 🥶❄️
It was ice cold at the Playground this afternoon so Sprocket, Scooby, Brig, Blu and Luna made sure they played a lot of race and chase to keep warm 🚀. Racing into the middle field, the group kept running all the way to the gate and back 🤭. They stopped to see what I was doing as I took shelter from the wind 🥶. They all raced off to play again and after a while, I joined in too 😅. We paused play for easy Find It 🍬🍬 before heading in to see what we could find in the end field. The group split up to sniff and explore. Sprocket made his way to the far end of the field, Luna and Brig enjoyed a sniff around the platform as Scooby and Blu headed for the long grass. We snuffled here and there, making our way up the field before another group game of chase 🚀😂. Blu got distracted by a good smell and left Brig and Luna to play fast race with Sprocket. Scooby had gone off to explore on his own and was happy wandering through the long grass. As we headed back to the middle field, Blu, Brig and Luna decided to fish for the big bits of ice in the paddling pools 🥶🫣. Sprocket, Scooby and I left them to it and headed for a sunny spot to sit and enjoy a tiny bit of heat before we all had our last game of Find It, easy name recognition 🍬and a final sniff and snuffle 🌱before racing back to get warm on the way home.

Thursday morning 🥶❄️
Haggis and I had a chilly walk to start the day where we worked on Focus and keeping all 4 paws on the ground ☺️. Once we were calm, we moved to the grass to enjoy a snuffle and tricky Find It 🍬🍬 then we headed for a slow walk to practice calm on lead walking. Haggis led me down to the big field, where we had more fun practicing calm on lead sniffing and walking. There were a lot of smells to enjoy here, and some tasty frosty grass to nibble too🌱
Haggis did great on the walk home, remembering to check in, wait at the edge of the pavement to cross the road and to walk with me 🥰. We stopped for easy Find It 🍬🍬 before heading back home to warm up again ❄️.
It was another chilly morning at the Playground as Jazz, Rosie, Riko, Charlie, Oscar, Blue and Casper enjoyed exploring in the frost 🥶. We raced into the field and split up to explore the good smells. Everyone kept busy for ages, wandering round the field, stopping at all the interesting spots🧐🌱🍂🐀. Blue found good grass to roll on and Rosie found good places to lay down 🤭. We all had a slow loop of the middle field before moving into the end field where we played group Find It 🍬🍬. Charlie and Oscar wandered off to do spaniel sniffing in the long grass. Rosie and Jazz had a few chase and wrestles in-between sniffing and Riko wandered around with Blue and Casper as they tracked the smells along the fenceline. We kept things moving, staying warm and keeping noses busy as we looped the fields. There were small pockets of warm sunshine, which we enjoyed while they lasted 😅, then we had fun playing Search in amongst the big tufts of grass 🧐🌾. We tried group race and chase which was fun for a minute or two but everyone scattered and decided it was more fun to explore 🫣🤭, so that's what they all did as we headed slowly back through the fields. We had one last group game of Find It before Wait and name recognition at the gate🍬, then we raced back to the van to get the heating on full 🥶❄️.

Wednesday afternoon ❄️🌱
Millie, Molly, Betsy, Ben, Cooper and Teddy all joined me at the playground this afternoon.
We all got to enjoy some more sunshine this afternoon and we definitely made the most of it, for the first part of the morning the group enjoyed just wondering around the playground at their own pace, sniffing and crunching through the bit of frost that was left ❄️
Betsy and Ben had a big running and wrestling game before we headed into the end field this is where the games began for the whole group!
Teddy and Millie got into some race and chase and once Ben spotted this he joined in too and the 3 of them ran all over the playground together!!🚀
Cooper was off exploring on the hillside and once Teddy had a rest from the game she joined too🌱
Betsy waited for Ben to run back towards her and they had some more games while Molly and I wondered along together to meet the rest of the group😁
After some running fun we then had a snack break at the platform and then carried on walking some laps together in the
sunshine🥰❄️

Wednesday morning ❄️🌱
Blue skies for Izzy, Rhu, Blu, Barclay, Casper and Flòraidh this morning at the playground.
The ground was all crunchy and frosty again this morning so this kept everyone’s noses very busy as they got straight to exploring 🌱
Blu enjoyed having a roll around while Flòraidh found the tiny tyre toy and was keeping warm chasing after that🚀😁
Later on Blu and Rhu joined in managing to pinch it a few times and run off🚀🚀
Casper and Barclay stuck together to explore for awhile and had a bit of a pounce and run around together🤪
Izzy was on the move the whole morning, sniffing through all the frosty grass and made her way along the fence all the way to the end to spy on the horses for a while🐾
We had some treat finding games which got the whole group together before a few more laps exploring 🌱❄️

Wednesday afternoon 😎
The sun was still out at the Playground this afternoon but it had ran out of warmth, so Izzy, Blu, Rex, Luna, Willow, Theo, Reginald, Archie and I had to keep things moving 🥶. We headed into the middle field to try find a sunny spot as we explored and snuffled in the frozen grass 🌱. We played group Find It to eat some snacks🍬🍬 and keep busy before racing into the end field. We kept the race going, all the way to the far end before a sniff walk back to the platform. Willow and Rex bounced around together, as Theo practiced Search in the long grass🌱🧐. Blu and Izzy spent most of their time together, hunting snacks and enjoying each others company🥰. Reginald was busy, using his nose to track good smells, just the tip of his tail giving his location away😂 as Archie and Luna followed just behind.
We all met up at the banking where Theo and I were practicing Search. Rex, Archie and Reginald joined in and had their noses working extra hard as Luna, Izzy and Blu used their noses to find a few hidden snacks 🌱🍬. Willow was busy sitting on the platform, taking in the views and we all slowly wandered over to join her. When we moved back into the middle field, we played group chase to get warm before having fun with name recognition and Focus 🍬🍬. We managed a good few loops of the field, keeping ourselves warm and busy before it was time to pack up, race to the van and thaw our toes on the way home ❄️.

Wednesday morning 😎
The sun was shining for Sam and I as we headed down to the cyclepath for our morning walk. Sam headed straight into the big field to have a sniff in the frost covered grass🌱. He barely lifted his nose as he led me up and into the trees. We were wandering along, enjoying a quiet snuffle when we were joined by Pablo, a dog we know that is walked by Linda☺️ so we turned back to join her so that Ozzy, Pablo and Sam could have a run and play ❄️. When we went our separate ways, Sam headed off for more sniffing and we had fun practicing Search and hunting for smells together 🐀🐞🍂. We looped the field and headed into the trees at the secret path where we explored fot a while. It was dark and cold, so we only did a short loop. Sam spotted a squirrel, so we practiced Wait and Watch before heading over to track it's scent. We tracked it to a tree and stayed a while to see if we could spot it 🧐. Sam decided it wasn't coming to play and so we moved on, back to the cyclepath to enjoy zigzag sniffing all the way to the van.
It was another beautiful frosty morning at the Playground as Charlie, Oscar, Brodie Bonnie, Dougal, Millie and Maggie joined me for sniffclub 🌱. We spent a while snuffling in the first field before Maggie led us into the middle field. We started off with a group loop, collecting smells and playing tricky Find It ❄️🍬 before the group wandered off to do their own thing. Brodie, Dougal and Bonnie headed off to find the tasty grass and interesting smells as Charlie and Maggie kept an eye on the spikey ball 🧐☺️. Oscar and Millie were exploring too, taking their time to enjoy the sunny spots along the way 🌱. We had fun practicing Recall, then Wait at the gate before a race to the platform 🚀. A group game of tricky Find It had noses working hard then everyone split up to follow the smells around the end field 😎. Oscar and I found a sunny spot at the pink tyre where we had cuddles and played Focus games 🥰. One by one, the others joined us for a quiet seat in the sunshine. It did start feeling chilly, so we moved off to explore the banking, play on the platform and jumping in the ice filled pools before a last lazy loop in the middle field. We stopped at the cubeslide for name recognition and some photos before racing back to get cosy in the van for the journey home ☺️.

Tuesday afternoon ❄️❄️
It was a busy afternoon at the Playground as Charlie and Oscar joined Blu, Theo, Rudi, Willow, Cooper and Dolly for a good sniff and play ☺️.
After racing into the middle field, the group split up to catch up on smells 🌱. Dolly and Cooper took their time following the fenceline as the rest of the group headed for the long grass. It didn't take long for games to start as Willow and Rudi had a bounce and last chase. Charlie and Theo shared the spikey ball, taking turns to carry it, then drop it and then try find it again 🤭. Oscar joined Blu for a mega sniff and snuffle as Blu knows where all the hidden treats are 🤫😅. We all enjoyed the sunshine, taking our time to explore and play. There were more games in the end field as Blu joined Rudi and Willow, and Cooper joined Theo and Charlie. Dolly was happy exploring on her own so Oscar and I found a sunny spot to warm up and watch everyone play.
After a while, we headed back to the middle field where we played group Find It and name recognition 🍬🍬 before we all spent the rest of the afternoon sitting in the warm sun, playing chase, watching the spikey ball and getting cuddles 🥰🚀🍬🌱. This cold dry weather is lovely but we couldn't wait to get back in the van to defrost on the way home 🤭.

Tuesday morning ❄️❄️
It was fun and games at the Playground this morning as Blue and Casper joined Cora, Archie, Rolo, Fudge, Willow and Cody ☺️. Rolo and Blue decided they'd spend the morning together, playing chase, exploring and enjoying a roll in the frosty grass. Cora and Fudge paired up to explore and play too, they spent a lot of their time trying to find hidden snacks 🤭. Casper and Archie made a good team as they wandered around, enjoying a quiet session in the sun. Willow and Cody were off doing their own thing, sniffing, watching birds, having fun ☺️. We all raced around to keep warm, zooming from one good smell to another, then enjoying group chase in the end field before a quiet snuffle along the banking. There were more games as Rolo, Willow, Cody and Blue raced and chased 🚀. Archie, Cora and Casper joined up for fast chase too 🤭 so Fudge and I had a cuddle (and a snack) to keep warm as we watched the others play. We headed back to the middle field where we kept moving to keep warm, finding new smells on each loop of the field 🌱. We stopped here and there to practice name recognition and pose for photos but the cold came and got us, so we moved on 🥶. I think we were all glad to race back to the van to get the heating on 🤭.

Tuesday morning 🥶
Another chilly start to the morning at the playground for Ghillie, Tucker, Arlo, Murphy and Flòraidh.
The group enjoyed wondering through the crunchy grass, having a sniff and a roll around in the frost🥶😆
After spending the first part of the morning exploring, Flòraidh then had some winter games with a piece of ice… after running around with it for a while eventually it got smaller and smaller🫣
But later on Flòraidh found the green spikey ball and had a blast chasing after that!🚀
Ghillie and Arlo started some games together and as they took off running Murphy and Tucker joined in too!😁🚀
We had a few running games throughout the morning to keep the heat in and the group so enjoyed crunching their way through the frost to explore 🐾

Monday afternoon❄️
Arlo joined Reggie, Callie, Zoose, Teddy and Cooper this afternoon at the playground.
There was still a chilly air and plenty of frost still at the field when we arrived so everyone got straight to sniffing❄️
Callie had the zoomies and was racing along side anyone who passed her and this carried on in the end field where Callie and Cooper both had some race and chase together 😁🚀
Zoose and Teddy went on to have a run around and Reggie also enjoyed zooming around the playground!🚀
Arlo and I had some games together and he joined in when the big group running game began😆
We stayed on the move all afternoon to keep cosy and this gave the group a good chance to sniff out all the smells they
could🐾
We did have a snack and cuddles break at the platform but it wasn’t long until everyone wondered off in their own directions to have some more sniffing adventures 🌱

The whole group kept so busy exploring for most of the morning, the frost brought so many new smells 🐾
Charlie and Bracken stuck together to explore and Cash led the way into the field where Daisy, Dougal and Casper climbed the hillside to sniff ❄️
Daisy, Charlie and Dougal got into some games and once Cash and Blu spotted this they joined aswell🚀🚀
Later on Bracken and Casper also joined in with some race and chase!!😁
But it wasn’t long until everyone was noses down and tails up again🐾

Monday afternoon ❄️
It was a busy afternoon at the Playground as Dolly, Luna, Buddy, Theo, Sprocket, Bella, Brodie and Willow enjoyed the last of the frosty sunshine ☺️❄️. The group raced to the gate where we practiced name recognition then Wait, before making our way into the field. The group split up to have a wander and sniff before Dolly led us into the end field. She wandered all the way around, following the fence as she tried to get the good smells 🌱. Buddy, Willow and Theo made the most of the space playing chase🚀 watched closely by Brodie and Bella 🧐🤭. They didn't join in but they wanted to. Luna and Sprocket were wise and joined me on the banking, out of the way of the chasers 😅. We paused the play to enjoy a sit down,a sniff and a Focus game before a slow walk to the platform to sit in the sun. Willow and I sat for ages, watching Buddy, Theo and Bella play in the pool as Luna, Dolly, Sprocket and Brodie sniffed for hidden snacks 🌱🍬. We all spent more time exploring the middle field before picking a spot on the big tyre for another sit down to take in the view. Theo and Willow enjoyed chase and wrestle, as Sprocket cheered them on from the sandpit 🤣. Dolly, Bella and Luna sat with me and we watched Brodie and Buddy snuffle in the grass. We had the best weather, crisp and clear but we were all happy to get back into the van to defrost our toes on the way home 🥶🤭.

Monday morning ❄️
It was a beautiful start to the week as Dave and I enjoyed our very first solo walk together 🥰. We headed for the Moss, where we knew we'd catch some warm sun as we explored.
As we headed along the road, Dave and I had fun as we practiced our Invisible Boundary, so we could enjoy walking together ☺️. As soon as we got to the frozen muddy path, Dave had a good run around, snuffling his way through the frosty grass. He did great, remembering his Invisible boundary and checking in often 🤩. He explored in the trees, weaving in and out, to make sure I was still close by. We were glad to get out onto the open Moss to warm up as we enjoyed a quiet, calm sit down to practice patience 🥰. The rest of our walk was spent doing spaniel stuff, sniffing, exploring and springing, with lots of excellent check ins and recalls ☺️.
It was gorgeous at the Playground for Bella, Brig, Lexi, Mika, Haggis and Novo 😎. Lots of frosty grass to sniff and enjoy as we warmed ourselves in the sunshine 🥰.
After exploring the first and middle field, we moved into the end field where it was time for chase 🚀. Bella, Haggis, Mika and Novo took off at full speed with Lexi and Brig taking a slightly slower approach, stopping at the platform to see if there were hidden snacks 🤭. We waited for the others to come back to join us before we had a group game of Find It 🍬🍬 then we had a group race to the end of the field ☺️. We took a break to have a slow sniff, a wander and a sit down in the sunshine as we enjoyed the quiet of the morning.
Haggis led us back to the paddling pool where he had great fun breaking the ice and getting to the tiny drop of water 😂. It was enough for Haggis though and somehow both he and Brig ended up soaking 🤔😅. Bella watched and waited until he was done before inviting him to play, Novo hot on their heels. Mika and Lexi were busy exploring together and they headed back into the middle field, following their noses 🌱 and getting away from the noisy chase 🫣. Brig was busy too, as she enjoyed the peace and quiet of the end field. She hadn't noticed we'd moved on, as she had her nose down but as soon as spotted us, she came racing over🤭. The group split up to wander and enjoy fun name recognition and some posing on the banking before it was time to pack up and head home.

Caring for animals isn’t what we do, it’s who we are.
I have spent countless hours studying animals, both in formal and less formal ways.
I have gained two animal sciences degrees, one postgraduate diploma, and many other bigger and smaller qualifications and certificates. I learn on daily basis.
I don't mention qualifications because I think you can only be good with animals if you're qualified. Far from it.
Although the amount of effort, time (and money) that went into deepening my knowledge, the stresses of it, the sleepless weeks that led to achieving qualifications, were all part of the journey I am proud to have been through.
The years spent doing unpaid voluntary placements and internships, in order to one day become a paid animal professional, are sign of my commitment.
Many years of paid work in the animal industry have given me experience in dealing with various animals, under different circumstances, and often in very stressful or emergency situations.
I went a long way to have the privilege of calling myself animal professional, and I am extremely happy to finally be able to work in line with my ethics and provide the quality service our customers deserve. I live and breathe animals, that will never change.
