A little backstory on Cleo-
Cleo was abused while at a boarding facility a few years ago. She had to have CCL surgery and lots of physical therapy. She is very reactive with hands so since that horrible experience. Cleo has been going to reactive dog training and she is making such good progress!
She is an amazing girl and she means well.. she just needs to know she can trust you. It took 3 meet and greets beforehand for her to gain trust with me but you couldn’t even tell she’s reactive with that beautiful face she has!❤️🐾
I’m glad I was able to do drop ins/dog walks for Cleo and show her that we aren’t all bad people 🥹🐾

Just a reminder that even though I am a dog walker keep in mind that I do NOT walk dogs in excessive heat 🐾🐕 i apologize in advance if there are reschedules due to the heat but I am here to take care of your fur babies not cause them any pain or distress! ❤️

⚠️🐾🌞Hot weather advice 🌞🐾⚠️

✖️✖️We say this every year but PLEASE do not walk dogs in the heat - it can be fatal. ✖️✖️

Don't forget about your pets and the potentially FATAL impact the heat has on them

Walk your dogs in the morning and evening when it is cooler - don't over do it during these times either

Be sensible in the sun

Signs of heat stroke include -

🌞Excessive Panting (first sign)
🌞Excessive thirst
🌞Increased heart rate
🌞Drooling (thick salivation)
🌞Bright red tongue
🌞Weakness and staggering around
🌞Aggitation and restlessness
🌞Collapse
🌞Seizuring
🌞Unconsciousness

If you suspect your pet has heat stroke please seek veterinary advice IMMEDIATELY.

All dogs are at risk of overheating if in extreme heat.

Top tips for the heat wave -
✔️Provide plenty of water
✔️Provide plenty of shade
✔️Do not walk your dogs during the hottest times and when you walk them in the morning and evening DO NOT over do it
✔️NEVER leave your dog in the car even if it's just a minute
✔️Pavements can get too hot for your pets feet
✔️ Don't forget about small furries- provide shade , lots of water-you can place an frozen water bottle covered by a towel and they can choose to lie on it if they wish.

🌞Enjoy the heat but be sensible--if you think it's too hot then don't do it - it's far better to be cautious and safe 🌞

First time in person getting to spend time with Rhodesian Ridgebacks last week!😍

Henry (purple collar) was going to be put down by the breeder when he was just a pup because he didn’t have the “ridgeback”
so my client ended up saving him ❤️😭🐾 now he’s an old man living life with his younger brother!
