Sweet Bernald, another pup found on the streets of Baltimore completely blinded by the matted fur over his eyes. That matted hair that no one in his life could be bothered to trim has created his eyes to be cone shaped. With more time, they would have begun to rot and disintegrate. 💔

But instead someone scooped this gentle boy up and we welcomed him with open arms. 💜 He was shaved down, had a dental and mass removal and began his healing journey in his incredible foster home. Bern felt safe.

Bern has made his way to one of our cofounder’s homes to be one of our sanctuary dogs. He strangely had no real adoption interest for months so we are grateful to have the chance to love him even longer. 💜

Yesterday he got his first fancy groom and he was an Angel for his groomer at Shaggy's Pet Salon! We are so grateful for their love and care!

Good boy Bern is looking good and feeling good these days and it’s sweater weather baby so get ready for some photos! 📸 🍂

UPDATE after all the vetting I am doing is completed (thank you for those donations) Happy will be going to SHAGGY DOG RESCUE ❤️

Happy is now at the clinic ❤️❤️. This is what I know so far. He is 18.3lbs with all that fur, not neutered and no chip. I am having them vaccinate, f***l with deworming, heartworm test and neuter if they can.

Happy will be going to SHAGGY DOG RESCUE after his initial vetting and neuter is completed and Kathy and I sincerely thank you for your donations. She will have him groomed this coming week. I am so happy for Happy. He is such a sweet little boy. ❤️

Finley would like to wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving and thank you to all that donated to help with his vets bills
I brought him home yesterday and he is now resting up in his new dog bed !
The surgery went well , they were able to do the Fho and
fix his hip, the pelvis was pretty badly broken ,puppies heal very fast, and the vet felt that his injuries were at least 2 weeks old , so sad to think of that little pup suffering in pain for that long , the vet said he could go in , break the bones and reconstruct the pelvis but as he was urinating and having normal bowel movements and it did not seem as if any of the nerves were damaged which is always the biggest concern with this type of injury that it would be a very invasive surgery and he did not feel it was warranted , he said the only issue he may have is that when he gets older he may have an odd gait on that back leg, that is workable , he’s a sweet little pup, he is still very scared and wary of people , but is eating well and is just going to take some time to heal
thank you for all of the support you give the rescues, because of your support we can save more dogs like Finley from euthanasia...this is why we rescue !

This adorable little girl was found abandoned in a schoolyard by a teacher, no chip, collars or tags, she posted for an owner and no one came forward, so she took her to our vet where they kept her for another week and still no owner.. so she is now a shaggy dog.. she is approx 3 years old, 11 lbs and of course has heart worms, she was trimmed down as she was very matted and looks like she may be a havanese mix..her foster is sending a Dna test in so we will see what mix of breeds she is.. she is a precocious little girl and likes to have all of the attention so she will probably be better as an only dog..the vets office named her Gena..

My sister Blanche & I were named in honor of this great lady Betty White. Enough about Blanche though, she is always wanting to steal the spotlight. Settle in while I tell you everything you need to know about me!
💐Current Situation: Seeking a forever home
💐Current Roommates: Blanche (my sister!), 3 other foster siblings (big & medium sized), and my human foster parents. I can proudly say I get along with all! I am a really easy going gal & the perfect roommates.
💐Manners: I sleep in my puppy pen with Blanche & love to play with toys. I also love playing on the grass outside. I am looking for a home that will help me learn all of my puppy manners such as potty & crate training. I am still a young lady!
💐Extra Info: I don’t mind baths and I love to cuddle. I am very sweet & love being held & carried around. I aim to please & am learning more every day. I am not fully vaccinated yet so will need to go to an adopter with a fully fenced in yard.

Rose is a female Lab/Bulldog mix with an estimated date of birth of 12/12/2021. She weighed 7.5lbs as of 1/29/22.

Demi LOVES to cuddle on your lap and play with her foster sister or alone with her toys. She's doing well with being crated at night...no overnight accidents so far. We are still working on potty training during the day. Food...hers or her foster siblings...is by far her favorite thing every day.

Demi is a Female Cattle Dog/Boxer Mix that we estimate to be born around 12/3/2021 and currently weighs 7.6 lbs (as of 1/17).

Hi my name is Kiwi! and I just LOOOOVE you! I already know it! I was found dumped in the woods on Christmas Day by an awesome lady with my Mom and 2 other sisters, Lennon and Sarabi.

I am the biggest cuddle bug and would love to be in your lap all day every day. My foster mom says I am the sweetest girl. I’m definitely a calm and submissive pup and although I can be shy and scared at first, I warm up quickly and love all people and dogs!

Bonus: I am fully crate trained and potty trained too!

If you don’t believe me…here is what my foster family says about me: “Kiwi is a really easy pup to take care of. She is calm and relatively low energy, plus she loves to please and is very food AND praise motivated! She’s already picked up her basic commands and is easy to train. She is the definition of a GOOD GIRL and will be a wonderful companion to any family!”

Kiwi is a Female German Shepherd Mix that we estimate to be born around 7/13/2021 and currently weighs 34 lbs.

Meet Addy- She is an 8 year old gem! She is very independent and happy to hang out in her crate or dog bed while keeping an eye on you while you work from home!

Don’t be fooled by her age or size, this gal loves a good walk in the park. She is cautious and aware of her petite size, but happy to meet other pups and people.

She is only 8-9 pounds and would be best with adults or older children.

She doesn’t seem to be interested in toys, but loves to be with her people.

She is quiet and suited for a house or apartment. Completely house trained!

Addy is a female Maltese/Yorkshire Terrier mix who was born in July 2013. She weighs 8 lbs.
