Calcium is one of the essential nutrients that chickens need. Oyster shells are a great calcium source, but so is their own eggshells💡 You can feed them what they lay after you enjoy eggs🥚 Toast them at 350° in oven for 5-10 minutes to enhance the flavor🔥 Then, mix them into their regular chicken feed. It’s better to blend it well to hide it into their regular feed so that they won’t taste them. It prevents them from developing a bad habit of eating their own eggs💯

Your water bill’s high, the climate’s dry… and you’re still letting all that liquid gold slip away?

It’s time to rethink the way we use water, and that starts with greywater. This is the gently used water from your shower, bathroom sink, or washing machine and it’s more useful than you think.

Instead of draining it away, you can reuse greywater to hydrate your garden, especially trees, flowers, shrubs, and even some deep-rooted veggies. Make sure there are no harsh chemicals and try to stick to biodegradable soaps.

How to start:
- Place a bucket in your shower while the water warms up
- Catch rinse water from washing produce or dishes (if soap-free)
- Use a hose diverter to redirect laundry water to your yard (if you’re feeling handy)

It’s one of the easiest ways to reuse what you already have. Simple changes. Big impact. Start today.

Found this beautiful black widow🕷️ Black widows are very shy. They only bite defensively. The female eats the male after mating, especially when she is bigger than him just because a) she is hungry and b) he is there. After becoming the food source, now it is her turn to sacrifice😱 She now lets her babies eat her alive. This process is called suicidal maternal care, or matriphagy since she does not attempt to escape her fate.
