The Deaf Culture as is expounded by and through arts, music, Kenya Sign Language, drama, poetry, literature and dance is a rich culture worth the global attention. Deaf and Hearing world needs to attain psychological mutuality if the deaf are to integrate seamlessly into the functional society. To this end, I accept this great honor from the Deaf Community of Kenya with a Prayer that God will guide me in my resolution to be Deaf Ambassador at large.

www.tuc.ac.ke is scheduled to receive 5000 library books from KEYOPI SOCIETY on 21st February 2024. This effort is intended to contribute to the University's quest for a Charter and to ensure availability of adequate reading, reference and research materials at the disposal of the students and faculty members.

We thank the office of the Turkana County Deputy Governor, H. E. Dr. Erus John for his passion for a reading culture among the Turkana Communities and their neighborhoods.

It is our hope that the University will get adequate support from other state and non-state actors towards acquiring and expanding on its most critical teaching and research infrastructure.

KENYA IN TEN YEARS

Many of the systems will probably be broken down.

Poverty will be a full-blown industry with a select class benefiting heavily from it such that it is difficult to deal with it.

National Examinations will be a lottery that is decided by an algorithm.

Public infrastructure will be totally broken down due to years of disregard and corruption. The journey from Nairobi to Mombasa by road will take 10 hours.

The judiciary will be an appendage of the executive.

Unemployment will be 90% as we pursue fancy ideas like exporting labor as an official government policy of creating jobs.

A robust hustler economy where people are in perpetual survival mode will emerge. Graduates roasting maize in the name of self-employment will be the order of the day.

Religiosity, especially the evangelical/charismatic wing will thrive as people seek miracles for services normally provided by governments.

Their will be a lot of public prayers spearheaded by government officials to numb the pains of the people.

Public institutions will have fallen into disrepair due to underinvestment in maintenance and corruption.

The sense of hopelessness will be high and criminal gangs like Mungiki will emerge in many parts of the country.

Criminals and other scoundrels will have fully laundered themselves into all public service offices.

The police, the military, elective offices, religious offices, the judiciary, the academy and others will all be packed with scoundrels, who will however confess piety in public.

Their will be a small bourgeoisie class, doing very well economically.

Taxing AGRICULTURE, THE BACKBONE OF KENYA'S ECONOMY. is counterproductive. GoK can take away their subsidies but leave us alone. Chokee.

The last time I ever saw an agricultural officer visiting our home was in 1985 when 4K Club and Zuia Mmomonyoko wa Udongo Presidential Campaigns were on top of Kenya's Agricultural revitalization agenda.

In the late 1980s to early 1990s, agriculture was the epicenter of the District Focus for Rural Development. The GoK invested alot in promotion of best practices in agriculture. Annual Agricultural Society of Kenya shows were rich in Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries information and innovations. Farmers were more aggressive to take up agriculture and soil erosion control as a do or die phenomena.

In the mid 1990s through to mid 2000, Cartelism and Wanton corruption invaded the sector and major casualties were cash crops including sugarcane, coffee, tea, pyrethrum, and potatoes. Cartels controlled and manipulated all markets and agro-value chains.

Todate, no farmer is happy.

Then KKG proposes tax on agriculture products?
