Monocacy Equine Veterinary Associates Monocacy Equine is an ambulatory equine practice that offers a variety of services and ER coverage.

Monocacy Equine Veterinary Associates was started in 1983 as a one-person ambulatory practice by Dr. Richard Forfa. It has since expanded to include a clinic facility with an isolation stall, a laboratory, breeding lab, and podiatry shed. MEVA is the only equine practice in west-central Maryland with the clinic facilities to offer 24hr care for fluid therapy, wound management, eye care, and more.

We also stand and collect stallions, breed mares with frozen and cooled semen, and provide foaling services. Our on-site laboratory also allows for blood results in less than thirty minutes when we need answers fast! We have doctors on call, round the clock, everyday of the year.

Today is definitely a snow day! Our office is closed but we have a vet on call for any emergencies that occur.

It's that time of year again! We love the sky production videos of this fantastic display but it's even better in person. The boats will be on the water in Carroll Creek, Frederick until early March so consider coming to visit them.
