Riders must be at least 10 years old. The trail ride is approximately 1-hour in length, but please plan on being at Sunny Trails for about 90 minutes. We welcome birthday parties, bachelor/bachelorette parties, family & friend get togethers or whatever you're celebrating! We will match you up with one of our horses according to your riding experience/skills and weight. Rider must be under approxim

ately 250lbs. If you are a first time rider and don't feel comfortable guiding your own horse, we would be happy to 'pony' (lead) your horse behind a guide horse. On your ride you will cross 2 small creeks, travel in and out of the timber, around open fields and past the cattle. Occasionally, we also see wild turkeys, deer, rabbits and squirrels. We can take 4-5 riders at a time, depending on age and skill level. No double riders allowed. For children under 10 years old, we offer 'barn rides' for $20 per rider for 30-40 minutes. For the safety of our customers and horses, we cannot ride in extreme heat or if the trails are too muddy from excessive rain. In those instances, we will contact you before your ride to reschedule. Sunny Trails is open every day by reservation only. Mon-Sat 10:00-4:30, Sun 12:30-4:30. We accept cash or checks. No credit cards at this time. All riders must:
Sign a Release Form (minors must have parent's signature). Be at least 10 years old. Be in good physical and mental condition and capable of controlling a horse. View a short safety video prior to the ride (in the office). Wear long pants, shoes with soles (no flip-flops) and a riding helmet (provided). Our goal is to provide individuals with a safe, relaxed and fun horseback riding experience. At this time, our horses are the only ones allowed on the trails. We've considered opening the trails to others with their own horses, but decided it would be best to only allow ours at this time. If there are enough people with an interest in bringing their own horses, we will revisit this option. Please 'like' us on Facebook! Sunny Trails reserves the right to deny riders, in the event that we have determined them to be physically or mentally incapable of controlling a horse or are exhibiting behaviors unacceptable for riding situations. Sunny Trails was established in honor and in memory of Sara Wyant, our 16-year daughter, who was killed in a car accident in October of 2003. Sara was a typical carefree teenager with a never-ending love for animals, especially her horse Beauty and her cat Sunny. Sara and I had a dream to create a place where others could experience and enjoy the relaxing pleasure of horseback riding. When Sara died, the dream seemed as though it had died with her. However, after the cloud of grief lifted we were blessed with a new horse-loving friend, Shelby, who has helped to bring new life to Sara's dream. Sunny Trails opened in the spring of 2013.

Our Story

Trails are open for the season! Unfortunately, 2019 will be our last year offering trail rides. We offer guided trail rides to the public by reservation only. Cost is $25 per rider. Riders must be at least 10 years old. The trail ride is approximately 1-hour in length, but please plan on being at Sunny Trails for about 90 minutes.

Riders under 10 years old can take a ‘Barn Ride’ for $20 per rider. This is a 30 minute ride in the barn & barnyard. We’ll walk them around for a bit and show them how to guide their horse. Then, if they’re confident enough to do it by themselves, we’ll walk next to them and they can do it on their own! It’s a great way for them to experience horseback riding in a controlled and safe environment. We also welcome birthday parties, bachelor/bachelorette parties, family & friends get togethers or whatever you're celebrating! We have picnic tables, a fridge and bathroom for your use. We will match you up with one of our horses according to your riding experience/skills and body size. Rider must be under approximately 250lbs. If you are a first time rider and don't feel comfortable guiding your own horse, we would be happy to 'pony' (lead) your horse behind a guide horse.
