Please join me in sending our heartfilled prayers and sympathy to the family of Kathryn Ross Dunlap, She left this world way too early. They joy she brought so many with Romeo & Pearl Fan Club and her babies Ruffio and Wilma. She brought so many smiles to so many with her wonderful Neapolitan Mastiffs and Great Danes. It is a sad day. Wishing her family peace and comfort during this difficult time.

Have you ever seen a Northern Inuit? This is Tai - who is beautiful!! Now a purebred since the 90s this breed was an original combination of german shepherd, alaskan malamutes and huskies. They come in timber color or black and white. Known for their docile temperament, great family dog.

Meet Bobby a retired bomb sniffing dog working for Border Patrol and Immigration in the state of Florida. Bobby was rescued with the help of a great Houston based organization called Mission K9 Rescue and has found his perfect forever home. Mission K9 Rescue’s goal is to rescue reunite, rehome, rehabilitate, and repair any retired working dog that has served mankind in some capacity.

I was so impressed by meeting this wonderful dog that I am considering starting the Acadia Antlers military war dog donation program again and will be looking at other options for retired stateside working dogs as recipients to. Stay tuned for more details.

If you get the chance to stop by the Houston World Series of Dog Shows at the NRG center this weekend, stop in and say hello (booth 604) and definitely stop in the Mission K9 Rescue booth and learn more about the awesome work they do. See you soon!!

Someone passed this along to us and we thought it was too great not to share.
On the 4th (and 5th) of July shelters and rescues will be absolutely inundated with calls about dogs that have gotten out and their owners are frantically trying to find them. This is a very simple trick all owners can do!! If you have to let your dogs out to use the bathroom tonight, please, please, PLEASE make sure your furry friends have their collars on AND updated contact information on their licenses to expedite a quick reunion if lost!!!

We love all of our community fur babies and want to make sure they are safe!!! 🐾❤️
