Butters is a loving young dog who’s still unsure of the big world. He loves all dogs and a home with a playful companion really helps his confidence! Saturday from 1-4 we’re setting up for another good time. This week at King Maker Brewing!

Bring the dogs, Have a beer, some lunch, and love on the pups!! Mama, Ripp, Butters, Dagger and Luna would all love to see you!!

Coastal canine rescue club at Ponte Vedra high school worked hard on rope bones and homemade treats (Mama Peach approved!) available for a small donation!

Update for Zeus and Delilah!!! Thanks to an overwhelming response to foster we know we will be able to help these pups to Safety. The owner knows we’re are calling through and speaking to potential fosters to find the best place for them and is fully onboard to work with us over the next few days.

Last night after a long long day Myself and Cassidy of Inked K9 drove out to meet them and evaluate their personalities and reactions to meeting a new dog so we could place them with the appropriate fosters.

They are so incredibly sweet and The thought of what could have happened…well we’re just glad we can help.

The hope after we can choose the fosters is that the additional fosters will be onboard to help us save more dogs in need from the shelters!

There’s always always a need for fosters!!!! Zeus and Delilah being saved might just help us save more!!

Updates to come as we progress but We’re so grateful for all of the shares and foster offers!! If You applied we will be reaching out just Between juggling work and kids and more pups !

*Update* Thanks to many willing fosters we will be able to help Zues and Delilah! The owner knows we are working to find the best placement for each dog and have time to properly do so!

We do Not take owner surrenders…We focus on saving urgent Shelter dogs from euthanasia. Yesterday It came to our attention from a vet tech friend on facebook that the owner of these dogs is going to multiple vets here in NE florida to have them euthanized. Not attempting to assist will be the same result. Two good dogs euthanized. So we’re going to try…We can not help these 2 without fosters.

She was not requesting they be killed for the behavior of the dogs but because she’s desperate. Horrible yes. Beyond what as dog lovers we can comprehend as a solution…absolutely. We all have some choice words and emotions on this but Let’s reserve comments to help find these dogs a plan.

The owner is dealing with grief, the loss of her husband, the stresses of life, and She has tried to surrender them to multiple no kill and local shelters. She was turned away or put on a list that she’s not able/willing to
wait for.

Unable to find a solution she did what she thought was better and more humane then releasing them on the road to find their own way where they would be stressed and possibly suffer a painful and terrifying end.

Thankfully she was denied euthanasia and convinced to they give some time for solutions. I made contact with the owner and she has made it clear they’re out time.

This is an attempt to help two dogs facing euthanasia. Two vets said no. She’s not going to stop. Ask enough and someone says yes… she will get rid of the dogs sooner than later. somehow.

If we can find willing and committed fosters we can help them. They can be seperated

These are very sweet dogs, young, happy dogs. house and crate trained

Zeus 3 yr old Beagle mixed - neutered
Gentle with kittens, cats and children

Delilah 2 yr old lab mix - spayed
good with older kids. Her wiggly enthusiasm may knock down a small child. Has a Heartworm positive status but report received treatment and is due for retest in march. I’m getting more details.

We don’t know about other dogs. They were never in contact with other dogs with her but they have a gentle playful nature and We can dog test.

If you can foster please reach out…I don’t know how much time they’ll have.

Sammy wants to know why no one has applied to adopt him 🥺 He is seriously one of the happiest dogs I’ve ever met !!! Oh so very handsome and the absolute PERFECT family Dog!!

Sammy is 1.5 years young and just 45lbs.

Dagger is SAFE!!!

Sorry for the delay in Updates! We had a major event today that’s taken us away from Facebook. Thanks to a wonderful volunteer Dagger received a ride to boarding while we prepare for what’s next!! I’ll be visiting our boy tomorrow and share some freedom photos!!! To all who pledged and shared thank you!!!

Update 🎉 Dagger is Safe in Boarding under our rescue!!

‼️Urgent‼️ Please Read ‼️
This week 4 of the longest residents. The urgent dogs. All scheduled to die Monday morning at Union county. The kennels were full. Space had to be made.
Merle. Byrne. Masie. Dagger.

They were all adopted except Dagger.
3 adopted. 1 more is leaving on transport.

There are 6 empty kennels but Daggers will still die Monday if he is not rescued or adopted.

No one Came for Him.

Daggers been through enough. This can’t be the end of his story. Not like this.

Dagger was Displaced after hurricane Helene. His family left him at the shelter. He has 3 legs. He is Heartworm positive. He doesn’t know he’s on a short list to Die Monday.

There have been offers to board him. We’re up to 3 weeks now. Sadly he’s struggling in a kennel. the hard ground is not ideal and he deserves the comfort of a home. Boarding is better than death but 3 weeks goes by fast

Dagger is a happy dog. Treat motivated and attentive. He Just wants to please you. He just needs a chance….Cassidy Inked K9 and myself tested him with multiple dogs and he did great. with proper introductions He seems to be dog friendly. He does get tired running too much and seeks space so an easy going dog that can respect that would be best.

Foster pleas in desperate times can be scary for a rescue. Fostering to save a dog then walking away is sadly a common occurrence. It’s a risk we take to save a life but the possibility of facing boarding is always there…if you can be there for Dagger until he is adopted we need you. He needs you.

Between 12-10pm today That 1 Painter - First Coast is matching Donations up to $200!!

We will be temporarily fostering this little cutie for a few days for Coastal Canine Rescue. This is a newer, small rescue that does amazing work rescuing dogs from rural shelters, many of which are in danger of euthanization. Sailor was lucky number 9 to get a ride out of the shelter last week and she’s not hiding her excitement to be out of the cold! Sailor Is staying and playing with our friends while we look for a foster family or even better her forever!! Sailor is an energetic happy pup of 2 years. She’s a Boxer mix with a slender build around 40lbs. She’s also dog, cat, and kid friendly! This girl has some serious wiggles!!! She’s sure to make you smile and would love to meet you!

The day I’d hoped for since the moment i met her has arrived!!! Vicky(formerly Buffy) has been adopted into an amazing home filled with love!!

Last month I was in the shelter during Buffy’s surrender. I sat with her through her turmoil and confusion of why she had been left behind. She had clearly been neglected. Buffy had severely overgrown nails, significant hair loss and skin irritation, evidence of past litters, and a scabby oozing hole in her nose that we’ve come to the conclusion was most likely left by a bb. Despite all of her suffering she had the most hopeful and gentle gaze. Many tears were shed leaving her there that day but i made her the promise i’ve made to many others….I would be back for her. She would not be failed again.

The following week at an adoption event I almost missed her potential fosters and in what i can only describe as fate they had circled back to her. She was given the time to settle and decompress. To adjust to her new home and fur siblings. They can’t imagine their lives without her and They’ll never have to.

We love you sweet girl 🥰 Welcome to the life you’ve always deserved.
