The scary shelter is a distant memory and our boy is ready for his next adventure! Ripp Is patiently awaiting a friend to hit the trails with. He really enjoys long hikes in the woods, jogs around town, and Relaxing evenings by your side. Ripps an easy going guy who’s happy to take in his surroundings and chill…yep we said chill and heeler! Ripps a healthy and handsome Blue heeler, 3 years young, and With Inked K9 as his foster you Know he knows his commands!

Safe!!! That was the name the shelter gave our boy…he definitely wasn’t but he is now and it’s Safe to say he’s already loving his Freedom. Since we’re past the Safe bit…I’m renaming him Sammy and Sammy is the sweetest boy! Last week when taking another urgent he snuggled his nose under my arm and gently pleaded to have me take him with us….Well Yesterday he hit his day 30 Yesterday at the shelter. There was hope for a small extension but that all disappeared when 9 dogs came in…Yes 9….9 dogs in one day. It happens more and more. Sometimes there’s no more space. No time for a plea. No time to rally extra support. There’s just a harsh reality and a need to Leave the shelter. Sammy is Heartworm positive. Sammy does not have a foster. These are all things we need to consider when making a rescue pull…but Sammy only had a matter of hours and didn’t have time to plan any of that. So we jumped in….again. Sammy is one of many urgent dogs that need rescue to step in quickly. He is Heartworm positive and will need treatment. He is also added to our boarded dogs at the fabulous Hounds Town Jacksonville - Beach Blvd who time and time again provides our urgent rescues with a safe place to land.

Sammy is 1.5 years old, Medium size at around 45lbs and dog friendly, kid friendly, and cat indifferent/shy….which in my experience can be cat friendly very quickly!

Welcome Spanky and Mama Peach to Coastal Canine Rescue! 🥳 🐾 ❤️ Spanky was Union County’s #1 urgent dog for space and duration of stay. Friends of Union County Animals-FOUCA made an urgent plea and With a full shelter his time was limited. Knowing how perfectly dog friendly he is There was no question he could fit right in at Hounds Town where he was welcomed with loving arms by the amazing staff while we seek a foster or adopter! While picking up Spanky we also fell in love with Mama Peach. She wasn’t going back to Union! Only love, treats and tail wags await!

Last day back to school shopping to get Supplies to Natalie’s meet the teacher took a slight turn today….we’re now wandering Target smelling of a petting zoo with pupperoni in our pockets and puppy p*e on my shirt….but Bradford was critically urgent and their Most urgent dog Shy Boy needed some Extra care. Cassidy Stevens Inked K9 as always where would we be without you. Thank you for working with our Shy boy. I know he will blossom quickly under your care as they all do 🐾❤️

Union county’s 12 dogs were whisked to boarding thanks to Florida Urgent Rescue and Volunteers fast work! The dogs escaped weathering a Hurricane in outdoor Kennels but When they return tomorrow Spanky, Titan, and Diesel will be coming back URGENT. Every Foster we have has a dog...or 3...Fosters are needed! Arrow received his freedom ride from the shelter Yesterday after Friends of Bradford County Animal Services made a desperate plea for space. Without an available foster or time to dog test we knew we could at least get little Arrow out right away!

Copper is Home!!! A month after leaving Bradford little Copper hadn’t had many applications for adoption. He had his 4month birthday and headed to Hounds Town Jacksonville - Beach Blvd for a his seal of approval and some play. His Family saw his sweet face, applied to adopt him, came to meet him, and fell in love!!! So grateful for our partnership and shared goals to find loving homes for Floridas Shelter dogs! Happy forever sweet Copper and Congratulations to his new Family!

*Our girl has temporary foster! Huge thank you to Kim (Raven now Ellie’s adopter) for keeping Allie in a cozy little quarentine until her primary foster is back in town !

Our sweet Addie girl has a Hw and a cough and can’t go into boarding. She has a foster for Saturday. We’re in desperate need of a temporary foster Now until Saturday one that can keep her separate from other dogs or no dogs.

Okay how stinkin cute is this little Guy?!
Pip is a 6 month old Dorkie…Doxen/ yorkie 😂
He’s currently 11lbs of puppy fun and will be a small dog under 20 lbs when full grown. Hes doing great with his house training, loves kids, chewing his bony, and running around in the backyard.

We received a message Tuesday from the shelter that this sweet baby came in and was absolutely terrified. We quickly put a plan together to get him out before the holiday. The shelter was closing early that day and would remain closed for the next 5 days.

Pips ready to meet his forever family! He’s received all of his vaccinations, microchip, hw/flea tick prevention, and will be neutered through the rescue.

Hamilton County Animal Control was once again full with no room and puppies in crates. Addie was more then happy to give her Kennel up and take her freedom ride!

When rescue wants to come save one of your dogs on 4th of July, you meet rescue on 4th of July... Have a happy life Sweet Addie! You finally made it out! Thank you to Coastal Canine Rescue for saving her and to Prime and hubby for transporting!

It IS really that simple. Keep them inside in a safe space. I give one of mine who struggles anxiety meds or CBD and we all snuggle in bed with the fans running, tv blared.

Please keep ID on them in case they run. The cheapest and most effective is just a cheap $1 store collar with your number written on it with sharpie. Make it easy for them to get home if they do get out!

Lots of pets will get out and many will sadly die. Please don't let yours be part of those devastating statistics.

Rescue is hard. Honestly it just never feels like we’re doing enough. I’ve been driving, coordinating, getting to vets, posting and praying, trying to think of ways to fundraise and grow so we can help more dogs, seeking fosters…want to foster a dog??? No really! shameless plug

There are dogs in a full shelter I want to get out but haven’t found a foster for, dogs with heartworm we’ve had to hold off on taking more of until we find better costs, Urgent pleas from shelters that want help, other shelters that make it hard to help, Dogs with kennel stress needing out asap. Then there’s the full shelters I know need help that I’ve never been to because once you see them you can’t not help and Its consuming trying to even help the three I get to.

I missed the monthly recap because…well dogs. A few days late but I wanted to do it. I couldn’t fit all of our pups from last month on 1 collage. It maxes at 9. We were able to find places for 10 last month.

Seeing all their faces together really helps me see that yes we are making a difference it may be small overall but it’s pretty huge to these dogs. Bringing back smiles and finding forever homes…So Yes it’s hard but doing nothing is harder for them…and they’re what this is all about.

Yesterday was an unexpected trip to Bradford to spring Red…we’re calling him Rhett…same sound but more fitting for this handsome fella! He was nearing his 30 days and deteriorating rapidly in the stressful shelter environment. He needed out asap! When we got there It turned out there was only one puppy from the litter of 5 who was scared and alone…so he got a ride out too! Happy days ahead for Rhett and Copper!
Rhett will be playing at Hounds Town Jacksonville and making some new friends while we seek a foster!

Finn, now Handsome Hobbs, how cute is that?! has officially been adopted! His new best friend Chili and her mom saw his post from Minnesota and knew he was the goofy sweet playmate they’d been seeking! Today Hobbs leaves where he’s made so many new friends and transfers over to Cassidy . There Hobbs will complete his 3 week Board and Train before going home to his family next month with a solid foundation❤️🐾

🚨 ‼️ Jazzmann is officially urgent. He has until Monday 6/17 at 5 to leave the Shelter in Starke or he will be Euthanized 🚨 Jazzman came into the shelter with his buddy Aladdin. They both need a plan to leave Bradford Alive ‼️
This is Jazzman…he’s getting worried about words like urgent and deadlines. He’s been a good boy and he doesn’t understand why he’s here facing euthanasia…
We want to help this distinguished gentleman take his freedom ride. He deserves a soft place to spend his golden years but He needs a foster for us to help…our even better an adopter to see him! We were going to Have a naming event for “Shep” but before I could get a post together we have something even better! So excited to announce we’ve found a loving foster family for him! It only seemed right to let the Wylie family choose what to call him.

Meet Colby Jack! or as the littles call him Kobe Jack! Ls are hard. He’s a 8ish month old Shepherd mix with a lot of love to give and enthusiasm to match! He’ll be fully vetted soon and ready to meet his forever family.

Rescue involves some very long and exhausting days…especially for those puppies back there. They really matched each other’s energy the whole car ride to foster.
