Introducing Diva!! We met this little girl last month when she was severely underweight and shutdown in the shelter. We brought Diva to boarding during the cold snap where she warmed up instantly in more ways then one. We couldn’t bring her back to that when the weather warmed up and brought her home instead for a few nights until we were able to place her in foster.

After her spay and return to health Diva is now adoptable!

Diva is an older puppy around 10months to a year. She’s small in size just under 30lbs but big in heart with arguably the best ears that have come through our Coastal pups!

Diva is the ultimate lapdog and she loves to be loved on. She loves to play with dogs of all sizes but she might do better in a home with dogs biggwr then her since she likes a play a little rough.

She is great on a leash and loves her daily walks. She does not react to other dogs which is amazing! She is fully crate trained and sleeps like an angel all night long.

Diva is not shy at all and loves everyone of all ages. She is the perfect amount of playful and chill and she will be the perfect family addition to someone looking to give her a forever home.

Waylon is a 44lb 1 year old happy goofy houndy boy Who loves children, cats and dogs of all sizes. gentle and sweet!

Lady is a 35 lb 2 yo beautiful beagle mix. Shes very intelligent and adores her people and children. She Loves to snuggle by your side and go on adventures! She greets dogs well on walks but may need a slower intro to play. Still learning the cues to tone down her enthusiasm when playing with other dogs.

Introducing our little Valentines ❤️
6 very little puppies were being seperated from their mama and brought to the shelter. Much too young to be without her we knew we had to bring them home that day.

We expect our incredibly smart and oh so cute little puppies to be smaller/medium dogs in the 20-35lb range

Romeo, Amore, Beau, Cuddles and Candy will be ready to go home soon!

We had high hopes Sven would come home this evening but he’s heading into day 5 of his Er stay for Friday.

Wednesday morning Sven underwent his lifesaving surgery with Dr Darrow. Thanks to his skill and precision the surgery was a success.

His urethral blockage was cleared and catheter was placed from the inside out. A small tear repaired and some tissue in his bladder removed. His stomach drain was also removed and repaired. The cause of his blockage is still unknown but we will have results back from the testing in a few weeks.

The hope was when Sven was eating and showing his blood sugar could be regulated on his own that he would be good to come back to us. Today he wasn’t able to hold much food down. Tomorrow is another day.

We’ve passed the original high end of $5400 by another $1500 and costs keep rising...but It’s impossible to put a price on a young life when he’s fighting so hard to get past this. The team at Focus has gone above and beyond in caring for Sven and we are so grateful he’s getting what he needs.

For everyone who’s helped contribute to his care, shared, or sent prayers and well wishes…it’s working. We’re a little over half way there to covering his stay.

Update 🎉 Sven is out of surgery and in recovery!!! Thanks to the expertise and precision of Dr Darrow everything went as planned!

There’s still some testing to be done to determine the cause and future preventative care if needed but our little guy should be out of the Er in a few days! We’re still short of being fully covered but Sven is well and our hearts are full of hope! Thank you to everyone who helped us help Sven!

‼️ update ‼️ Sven is now in need of lifesaving surgery. His projected care has tipped over $5000…he’s fighting and we’re doing everything we can to give him a chance.

Not the introduction we were hoping for on our newest additions. Last week a litter of little puppies was surrendered. Seperated from their mother and unable to stay at the shelter we brought them Home. This week was for pictures, for puppy kisses and wellness checks and getting to know their little personalities. Friday Sven had his puppy check and was seemingly a healthy little pup.

Yesterday on a potty trip outside it became clear our little man was struggling. His foster alerted us something was very off and immediately went to our vets at Sandbridge for exam, xray and ultrasound. Given the time of day and uncertainty in what our little guy would need we we transferred over to focus pet care for more intensive testing.

Our little Sven is only 3lbs and suffering from a serious internal infection. One that we’re praying he overcomes in the next few days. He will require constant care. Any contribution to the rising costs would be welcomed but We’re asking for all the good vibes, the thoughts and prayers for his recovery.

Over the last month our little Lady has come so far and is now the picture of health, happiness, and is ready for her forever family ❤️🐾

Our sweet girl is 2 years old and just 35lbs. She has proven herself to be cat and dog friendly. Lady is playful and gentle. She’ll absolutely loves children. Shes very food motivated and has mastered sit , paw and is working on her sit pretty. Lady will be a delightful addition to any home!

Our Roxy girl is in search of her forever home or a new Foster by Tuesday!

Roxy is incredibly smart, playful, and oh so snuggly!

We thought our sweet girl might have found her family but the match wasn’t quite right and her previous fosters schedule change won’t allow for her to continue fostering.

Another playful dog and yard to run in would be ideal for her or an active family looking for a puppy who can keep up!

New Year’s resolutions I dont feel so bad breaking.

Move a little slower…nope
Leave more time for balance…oh how I tried
Step in if necessary….so much need

January brought 17 dogs and puppies into the rescue.

Getting dogs from the cold into boarding. Ones after I can’t send back. The Urgents. The terrified. The HW positive. Those in need of immediate and ongoing medical care. The discarded.

A few went right home as foster to adopt ❤️

Those with no time and no plan were rushed to boarding to avoid euthanasia. 3 are still need foster.

It’s not the January I projected but who could have planned for the numbers that kept coming.

After a flurry of vet visits, paperwork, evaluations, and many moving pieces it’s the one we had.

High Hopes for an “easy February” with time to post over needing to pull. A february Full of foster offers for those in boarding and forever homes for some of our longer rescue residents!

Yesterday After photos and dog testing we were able to help Bradford by taking in a dog and a puppy. Going back for another today. More on them later!

It’s just not enough. The guilt in leaving this family yesterday was crushing and kept me from sleep. They need immediate rescue. Either through us or any willing rescue. What matters is they get out ASAP for comfort and vet care.

Mama has no milk and The puppies can be separated from her but mama needs out too. They are all incredibly sweet. The brindle girl is painfully emaciated. We’re circling back to possible fosters that applied yesterday to see if they can help but nothing is in place as of this morning.

We would need 2 or 3 potential fosters.
1 for the puppies
1 or 2 for mama and the brindle girl.
