to when I made a new (very tall) friend! 😁 Recently the hoomans took me on a road trip to visit friends, and they had a beautiful Greyhound. I was amazed because I’ve never seen a dog that tall! 😯 I loved him, though, and kept following him around and even humming at him. Fun fact: I make happy humming noises at my favorite people, and dogs too now. 😊

Yes, we know we’ve been a little busy lately, but the good news is, my muzzle is finally starting to heal! The incision behind my ear healed quickly, but the one on my muzzle took a lot longer. It was a little swollen and scabbed over, but it’s almost healed now. The hair is even growing back too! 😊

Guess what? I’m staple free! 🥳 And it only took two tries, too. 😂 On Wednesday, I had my staples taken out (finally!!), but that night, Mommy noticed one got left behind! 😳 (It was on the end, where my fur was already starting to grow back over it.) So, back to the vet for me the next day. Mommy couldn’t believe it when they pulled the staple out right in front of her – and she said I was so good about it, too! 🥰 So now I’m finally staple free, and except for not getting as much cream cheese as I used to, I’m a very happy boy! 😊

GREAT NEWS! Chance’s biopsy just came back BENIGN! 🎉 We got the results sooner than expected and were overjoyed to hear the news. 🥳 Meanwhile, Chance has been doing great; he’s not acting like he’s in any pain or discomfort, and doesn’t even need to wear the cone anymore, because he hasn’t been scratching at his incisions. (We are keeping him under constant supervision just to make sure.) He’s also been getting spoiled with treats; he’s getting three pills a day stuffed in cream cheese, and we think he’s starting to develop a cream cheese obsession. 😂 Only a little over a week until his staples come out, and then he’ll be completely back to normal! 😊

Chance is home. ❤️ The surgery went well, and Chance was able to come home sooner than expected; he came flying out of the recovery room, barking to let everyone know he wanted to go home. 😂 Unfortunately, he does have staples on his muzzle and behind his ear (we were hoping it would just be a few small stitches), and he's going to be on pain medicine and antibiotics for a while (Chance does NOT like taking pills LOL), but the worst is over and he's so happy to be home. Scroll for pictures of his car ride home, and his new staples (don't scroll if you don't want to see post-surgical pictures). We won't be getting the biopsy results for another 1-2 weeks, but we'll let everyone know as soon as we hear something. Thank you again to everyone who sent our Chance well wishes, they were so appreciated! 🥰

Chance's mom here - tomorrow is Chance's surgery to remove the small tumors from his muzzle and top of his head. (Please look 3 posts back if you haven't seen our previous post about the surgery.) It's a small procedure - along with a routine dental cleaning - so we're hoping for a quick recovery and that he'll be back to his old self in no time. Of course, we're also hoping for good news from the biopsy as well. 🙏 We'll update everyone tomorrow if we can once Chance is home. Thank you to everyone who's sent their well wishes, and please continue to send our little boy some good vibes tomorrow. ❤️
