It has taken quite a long time but…Jazzy’s baby sister seems to be finally letting her guard down just a bit! Phoebe has always been so skittish and it seems like the extra TLC I had to give her during her scary bout with pneumonia and coccidiosis proved to her that mom isn’t so scary after all. She is finally catching up with Amy but I doubt she’ll get any bigger than Gemmy and Jazzy are now. She sure is pretty though. I just love her face 🥰

Conway got his first hoof trimming since he has been with us! He is still very skittish and I was a little worried about how he’d handle the stand but, once I calmed him down, he did great! He looks like Uncle Cash and is sweet like him when he isn’t running from me but he does have big brother Lyle’s attitude. I need to start lead training him since he’s still so scared of me. Hopefully he trains like Cash and not like his brother. 😅

Some pics from the other day! My two caramel sweeties! If Jazzy isn’t on my lap, Lyle is! And if Lyle isn’t on my lap, he’s usually butting someone else off 😅 I can’t believe how fast these two have grown. Cojo is the only one I haven’t raised from a baby (Monte was 7 months so…still a baby!) and I love watching them grow up. Losing Phoebe has really taken a toll on my mental health but watching the rest of my little ones continue to grow helps a bit. I can’t believe how big they’re getting! Well…Jazzy. I’m convinced Lyle will never grow. His attitude makes up for his size 😂

I can’t take pictures like this by myself to save my life but I’m so proud of our first generation doeling! They combined the massive junior doe class today and, again, I thought there was no way our little girl would have a chance with how many beautiful girls she was competing against but she stayed in! Off The Rails in Honor of Amelia survived two class cuts and remained in the top 5 as 5th. I know it may not seem like a big deal to some but this is huge for us. Amy and her baby brother are our only kids since we lost Amy and the baby. We only had two babies and they’re both getting nice comments from judges during their first few months showing. I’m completely blown away by CoJo and Gemmy’s first breeding and I couldn’t be prouder of how their kiddos behaved in the ring today! They stood better than most adults! 🥹

Off The Rails Elijah also made the cut today and earned 5th. He got turned away yesterday so I’m very happy he made it today! ❤️

My sweet little boy! Conway isn’t a loud little tantrum throwing, b***y sniffing, drama starting troublemaker like big brother Lyle. Thank goodness. I can only handle one of that boy 😂 He is still slowly warming up to me but he does loves his cuddles. He’s just very shy about how he asks for attention and it’s so unlike both my other boys. He absolutely hates being picked up but, once he’s all snuggled up, he never wants to leave! He’s still in his awkward phase but he is really gonna be a looker for show season next year! I opted not to take him to NC for practice because of the drive. It’s too much for the little dude for his first show. Hopefully the Wapak show will be his first chance to go if I can make it🤞🏼

Our happy little girl is celebrating her first birthday today!! After going through Phoebe’s sudden and tragic loss, my heart desperately needed an easy baby that was friendly, easy to handle, and healthy. Although she jumped over 4 feet out of her pen and then even higher to get into the buck pen while I was at work, Willow has been an absolute joy to raise. We got very lucky and she wasn’t in heat when she jumped in and she has since had five standing heats since her little escapade so I can finally take a sigh of relief. This pretty little girl has a very nice pedigree but she is growing very slow so I’m still not sure if she’ll be going to the spring shows just yet since our Amy has earned some much needed time in the ring. I’m very excited to see how she grows! Sometimes animals find us in our darkest moments and, despite my grief, I’m so glad I went with my gut and gave her a chance to be part of our family.

I’m still on “baby watch” since Gemmy had two breeding dates but it’s looking like she’s delivering in March since today would’ve been her due date if she had taken to the first standing heat. Since that doesn’t seem to the case, she’s 123 days along with twins or triplets (possibly more because the vet kept finding kids 😅)

Jazzy is close behind at 117 or 118 days. She looks larger lying down but she’s not nearly as large as her sister, which makes me feel a little better since we’re only expecting one. I really don’t want her to get too big.

Both sets of kiddos are kicking away ❤️
