Hi Everyone! Just an update that I am re-opening! I do have some unfortunate news, as I am no longer mobile and coming to homes. I am now stationary! I still only care for one dog at a time, so no kennels!! I am still booked by appointment only, no walk-ins. My appointment book and online booking are now open again! Starting May 1st, Spaw Day Memberships will be available!!

Membership slots are limited!

Appointments and Rescheduling are required to ensure you get the full use of your Membership.

Note! All Memberships are a 4-month minimum; after 4 months, your membership can be paused for up to 9 months or canceled.

Unused visits will accumulate and can be transferred to a friend or family pet of the same size.
(Accumulated visits must be used within 100 days)

Wow! What a cold weekend we are having.☃️

Just a little reminder ⤵️

⏰ Don’t leave your pups outside for more than 5-10 minutes at a time.

🧤 Bundle them up in there sweaters and or coats.

🐾 Put their booties on them as this cold hurts there paws.

🔥 Keep yourself and your pups snuggles up inside where it is nice and warm.

😵‍💫The past few weeks have been so crazy, between taking care of all my fur babies and, well, life in general.😵‍💫

Does your dog have dry itchy skin❓

Here are a few tips and tricks to help give your dog some relief ⤵️

✅ Regular dog grooming.

Ask for my oatmeal or medicated shampoo.

✅ Adding Olive oil or Coconut oil into your dog's food.

½ tspn for small dogs once daily

1 tspn for medium dogs once daily

1 tbsp for large dogs once daily

P.S It also benefits their coat, teeth, heart, and joints.

(It may take two weeks or more to start noticing a difference)

✅ Change their dog food to something that contains omega-3 fatty acids.

This can be a quick fix for dry itchy skin.

NOTE: ❗Talk to your vet before changing their diet❗

✅ Check for fleas!

We all know these pesky things can cause some real problems for your pup!

❄️ Winter is coming! ❄️

Almost everyone starts to either let their dogs hair grow out longer, skip grooming appointments,

or put sweaters on their dogs.

⬆️ While some of the above is okay…

Here are a few winter grooming Do’s ✅ and Don’ts ❌

2 Things to try and avoid ⤵️

❌ Don’t skip grooming appointments.

Long hair = More up keep

Long hair collects more dirt and snow than shorter hair would, thus causing more tangles and matting.

If you wait too long in-between grooming appointments you might end up with a shaved dog in the middle of winter and no one wants that! 😢

❌ Don’t keep sweaters on your dog 24/7.

Try to limit the sweater wearing for during potty breaks or time outside.

If they wear the sweater 24/7 it will cause matting or skin issues then you will end up with a shaved dog in the middle of winter and possible vet bills.

Avoid the sweater.

2 Things You Should Try and Do ⤵️

✅ Keep them at a maintainable hair length

Keep at a medium hair length

It’s easier to maintain at home in-between grooming appointments!

More difficult for them to collect snowballs and turning into snowmen ☃️

✅ Groom your dog often

Every 3-5 weeks to prevent matting and tangles ✂️

No one wants a shaved dog when it’s cold out, so please make sure to schedule appointments in order to keep your pup in perfect shape.

So just because it’s winter don’t think that sweater is a substitute for a well looked after coat.

Keep your pup in tip top condition ✂️

🦃 IT’S NEARLY TURKEY TIME 🦃

The Holidays are just around the corner and it’s nearly time to get the family together and celebrate what we’re thankful for.

And first things first - Our little furry babies 🐶

With a million things going on we often forget that the holidays are a big time for our pups ⤵️

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Our houses are full of guests, family and friends.

📸 We have family holiday photos and our dogs get included.

👧 Our little babies play with all the children in the house.

The last thing we want is a smelly and messy pup running around the house.

So don’t forget your pup!

From traveling with clippers in my car, to a state-of-the-art mobile grooming salon and hundreds of happy pups 🐶

It’s been a long road to building my little business ✂️

📆 5 years ago: I became a certified dog groomer

📆 4 years ago: I started to travel to people's homes in my car with a table and clippers in order to take care of their pups.

📆 3 years ago: I decided that I wanted to save and create a mobile dog grooming van that felt like a salon on wheels!

📆 1 year ago: I achieved my goal! I built my mobile salon and have taken care of hundreds of cute pups in it over the last 12 months.

I’m so proud of how far I’ve come in the last three years.

What started with a love for dogs became a career and a business that I absolutely love! ❤️

I can’t imagine doing anything else.

Dog vs. Skunk 🦨

Here are a few tips that you need to know if your pup gets sprayed by a skunk ⤵️

What not to do ❌

Don’t get your pup’s hair wet.

Water will seal the skunk oil into the hair follicle and your pet will smell of skunk for weeks or months no matter how many times they get bathed.

What to do ✅

Make this paste ASAP and follow these steps ⤵️

Baking soda and de-skunk shampoo

1. Apply a generous amount onto them when the dog is dry.
2. Let it sit on them for around 30 minutes.
3. Time to rinse off the paste.

If you want to be more thorough you can shampoo them again with an oatmeal shampoo to make sure you don’t dry out their skin.

And if you’re a little worried - I’m happy to help 🙋🏻‍♀️

Make sure to advise me that your pup has been skunked before their appointment and I’ll make sure they smell as good as new! 🐶 🦨

No pup wants to smell like a skunk, so let’s help them together 💜

Just like you would if they were taking care of your child.

So hello everyone I’m Taylor 👋

Here is a quick peak at my story ⤵️

They always ask when you are a kid “what do you want to be when you grow up?”.

I had always responded back saying I wanted to be a veterinarian because of how much I loved animals. 🐶

My love for animals has always taken up the majority of my life.

I also love art, drawing and painting 🎨

(I even designed a T-shirt for a big school event once!)

I put the love and passion I have for my two favorite things and turned it into Le Spaw Mobile 🐾

My love for animals and my artsy talent helps me to sculpt and turn your pups into the cutest version of themselves!

❗Weekly reminder to make sure your pups are being maintained in-between grooming appointments❗

Here are a few ways you can look after your special pup ⤵️

✅ Have great brushes that are safe and effective.
(Angled long pinned slicker brush or Greyhound combs)

✅ A daily brush to keep their coat healthy.
(Preventing your dog from getting tangles & matting)

✅ A little de-matting once or Twice a week.
(Don’t forget to brush, de-matte, and de-tangle!)

✅ Book your pup in for a spa day with me 🙋🏻‍♀️
Every 3-5 weeks treat your pup and I’ll make sure to keep them looking their best!

P.S - Even dogs that shed should be brushed weekly 🤫

Part of caring for your dog is making sure they’re clean and healthy.

It’s difficult to make sure that your dog is kept in tip-top shape at home.

So a big part of that is making sure you get your pup scheduled with the groomer.

90% of the pups I meet range from a little matted, to fully matted.

Here are a few tips for you to keep your pup in good condition and help prevent matting ⤵️

1️⃣ Brush every day.

Brushing using an angled long pinned slicker brush & greyhound comb will help keep your dog from matting.

2️⃣ Once or Twice a week.

A thorough brush using the angled long pinned slicker brush & greyhound comb and a de-tangler spray to work through matts before they become too hard to remove.

3️⃣ Take your pup to the groomer.

Every 3-5 weeks take your pup to come and see me and I’ll make sure to put them back in check.

P.S - These brushes are also great for de-shedding!

Most people aren't sure when to take their pup to the groomer.

There are a million different recommendations.

Some people will say “Get your dog groomed every week”.

The truth is a little more like this ⤵️

For dogs that easily tangle the ideal amount of time is around 4-6 weeks.

Whereas a easily-maintained dog is around 6-8 weeks.

Here is a little before and after example of a pre-groomed pup, and the photo of him right after.

So if you’re pup looks like him on the left, and you want him to look more like the right.

It’s time for them to get groomed! 😃
