same owners since she was a puppy

15 years ago and surrendered due to

old age. Precious had increasing

vision and hearing loss over the last

few years, to the extent of full vision

loss with no records showing prior

medical treatment or vet care. Upon

surrender the shelter was notified that

Precious was involved in a minor bite

to another family in the home a week

prior after they were trying to find/pick

up a laundry basket next to Precious.

Precious was surrendered to Long

Beach Animal Care Services with

owner request for impound and

euthanasia; however, aside from

vision and hearing loss (and maybe

senior dental) she does not appear to

be suffering to the extent humane

euthanasia should be next course of

Please we need everyone sending messages to the police 👮‍♀️
URGENT situation where puppies are in danger and are being highly neglected. A neighbor went to buy a puppy, a goldendoodle in Los Angeles and when she showed up there were tons of dogs in their own s**t and p**s, crying, it smelled like deaths she says. These dogs couldn't even stand up from being in such small crates and were malnourished. I'm worried this lady is going to kill some of these puppies. I have no way of getting over there and the neighbor drove an hour and freaked out and left. The address is 1130 S Vermont Ave Los Angeles CA 90006. The apt is on the first floor to the left of the front door near the tree. The sellers name is Maxine or Max. She is Hispanic or Asian...she dresses like a man. Short black hair and glasses. You can hear the puppies crying from the window also. I am surprised that the neighbors don't complain. She said she gets the puppies shipped to her from Ohio. A man also came with a great dane and she said she could get dane puppies also. She sells them for $1500.00 but at the end told the ladies she could have the puppies for free because they were probably going to go the shelter anyway...this was after she went down to $800.00 The puppies couldn't walk well because they are in those crates! The puppy she showed them smelled and was skin and bones...see picture.
They wouldnt take the puppies for free because they looked so sick.

I don’t even know where to begin.

This is TINY 8.6 lb 🧡ASPEN🧡 and this 10 year old doggy who looks like a Pomeranian or a Pom-Chi will DIE at Chesterfield South LA, a shelter in Los Angeles, on Saturday, April 29th if we do not find a legit rescue by 4 PM.
Aspen is 🆘DEADLINE DOG🆘.

As Best Friends and NKLA are touting their ridiculous claims that Los Angeles has become a No Kill city animals are being killed by the boatload.

And poor “stray” Aspen who just came in today absolutely filthy has heavy medical and was likely dumped when she needed her so called “family”. I don’t think she’s ever seen a veterinarian. She’s not even spayed. I put the full medical notes in the comments but here is a summary😭:

“Senior with with difficulty walking, walks in a circle, head tilt, mammary masses, opacities OU, moderate tartar, dirty hind legs, urine stained, not eating during exam.”

At one point it comes down to mercy. Will Aspen get to a real veterinarian who can assess her and plan a treatment including procedures that the shelter system cannot offer OR a humane death OR will she die in the shelter killing room?

Aspen needs a MIRACLE✨.
Now that you know about her isn’t she important enough to help?

Hi my name is Toughy and by the looks of me I had a hard life. Months of healing I got well and SFCA rescued me and now I will find my forever home. Sadly another dog that looked just like me got left behind because SFCA could not get van drivers to help my friend and other dogs across Texas. Next month May they are needing drivers for May 10 and 11 at 2 pm driving from Seagoville to Dallas pick up dogs and drive back to Seagoville. Also needing volunteer drivers for May 11 and 12 at 3 AM from Seagoville to DFW airport and back to drop off van. WE MUST FILL THE AIRPORT RUN ARE DOGS WILL GET CANCELLED. SFCA could not get a volunteer for April so an entire VAN a shelter got cancelled. PLEASE YES IT EARLY BUT DOZENS OF DOGS WILL BE SAVED PLEASE EMAIL [email protected].

Tiny baby girl with double cherry eye. She was confiscated with her mom and dad on 4/4/23 and had been kenneled with them, but in an attempt to keep her safe from viruses, the kennel staff moved her into the cat room, since she doesn't have a strong immune system yet. She misses her parents, but she has a lot of volunteers who are loving on her
is only about 5 weeks old. She's available for adoption on 4/19/23 when her confiscation hold is up. One of the videos posted in the comments show her with her mom and dad before she was moved into the cat room

Nothing is more heartbreaking than knowing that we can't save them all. When we see things like this, it destroys us even more. This sweet, adorable puppy wants so badly to get out of the shelter and into a home with a family to call his own! He tried to make a break for it, but his efforts were twarted when staff caught him! We would love to see this cute fella walk out of the shelter with his head high, and into the arms of his new family. We worry that he may not make it out once his stray hold is up. WTAH is wrong with people? I have seen a lot but this really makes me heartbroken.

This is regal looking unneutered Bully doggo 💙SEBASTIAN💙 and this handsome boy with the butchered ears is five years old and 66 lbs is at South LA, a kill shelter in Los Angeles.

I AM FURIOUS AND REALLY SHOOK UP.

As soon as I saw the Blue Alert notes I contacted the shelter for a photo and also a name because he didn’t have one.

You see, the police department had to call an ACO because they found this poor dog copiously bleeding. He had been SHOT at least four times with a BB gun. He was shot in both scapulas, along his back and on his right hip. The radiographs show four BB pellets.
I JUST CAN’T EVEN!!! I just know I really want us to help Sebastian.

The shelter and the Blue Alert notes say Sebastian is a nice dog. He has NO behavior notes. When the rescue coordinator got this photo just an hour ago for me he curled his lip when she approached the cage but as soon as he saw treats he turned into a wiggle butt.

Sebastian’s physical wounds are healing and he will soon be transferred to the outside kennels. But this poor dog has nothing. NO ONE knows about him and we all know that Pit Bulls are the number one euthanized breed in shelters.

So I just feel morally, ethically and from our hearts we ALL cannot turn away from this forsaken dog.

I truly believe it doesn’t have to end like this for Sebastian. If we all work together to secure a rescue fund for him, look for local fosters, tag loving dog people right into this thread and if ALL OF US tag, call and email reputable rescue groups (including all breed) maybe he has a chance to be LOVED.

Don’t squander this chance for Sebastian’s precious life. This is a loving, sentient being and he deserves BETTER than to be overlooked and eventually disappear, all chance of a happy life gone forever💔.

🆘🆘🆘🆘 IN GRAVE DANGER. 🆘🆘🆘🆘
Who are these “people” who neglect animals and are so terrible they make the lives of their pets miserable and then dump them at the nearest shelter when their pets are older for the most SELFISH reasons?

This is gorgeous ❤️SHAYNA❤️ and this overweight and extremely friendly 25 lb (she came in six days ago at 26.6 lbs) Poodley type of doggy was dumped by her “guardian” because of “SIZE” at West Valley, a kill shelter in Los Angeles.

The shelter sent out an 🆘SOS DEADLINE FOR 4 PM FRIDAY, MARCH 31st 🆘 because Shayna who has geriatric medical from never being vetted and lifetime neglect including dental disease, severe matting, skin papillomas, filthy tear staining is declining in the shelter AFTER the shelter spayed this elderly dog and NOW she is drinking and urinating large amounts of fluid. She wasn’t before the spay!
I put the full medical records in the first two comments.

As we are ALL doing our best to keep our senior pets happy and healthy this is happening more and more where people are just trashing their animals.
I just CANNOT wrap my head around it😪.

Please GIVE this good dog who has had so much TAKEN away a beautiful life.
She deserves that much.

In pure LOVE please share Shayna urgently for medical pledges, local foster offers, networking and a reputable rescue including all breed. Please tag other dog lovers on the thread who have the best interests of these pups in their hearts. Please also SHARE her story.

There must be SOME kindness, decency and mercy left in this world. Good people need to STEP UP right now because of the negligence of bad people. I was dumped on the side of the road by my own family like I was a bag of trash. Was I unworthy and shameful to my own family because I can't use my back legs? Who would possibly love me now if my own Mom and Dad didn't love me enough? If only I could speak I would tell everyone how good I am. I am a very nice and sweet little girl but I am so scared at this place. I cry myself to sleep every night and I dream someone will save my life before its too 😭

This poor and innocent soul Rigby who is not even spayed and can't use her back legs came into the East Valley Shelter, CA which is a kill shelter on 03/03/23 and became Orange Alerted on the same day due to her major medical problems. Rigby has been available since 03/08/23 but she has ZERO interest. The shelter rescue coordinator already sent at least one rescue plea on 03/08/23- 12 days ago, but unfortunately not even one rescue group responded.

When Rigby came into the shelter she was extremely matted. Please see her intake photo in the comments. My heart is broken into million a pieces that her so-called family completely let her down. Shame on them.

Hello Everyone- This is an Orange Medical Alert for New Hope members of the Urgent Medical Response Team. If at any time an animal's injury or illness is determined by the Department's veterinary staff to be medically extensive or severe, that animal may be humanely euthanized for irremediable suffering without any prior notice.

Rigby is in our critical care medical room. She needs to see a private Veterinarian.
🚨Medical Notes- Very sweet dog presented heavily matted and unable to stand or use rear legs. After shaving dog, noted left front carpus has hard swelling and dog can not bend this leg at the carpus . Both rear legs are held in flexion at the knees and the dog can not extend either rear leg. Also appears to have a tooth root abscess on the left upper carnassial tooth. Will need radiographs to evaluate the cause of immobility, dental and extractions.

I just spoke to the East Valley Medical Team Department and I have some additional information- BCS 4-9 ( 5 ideal) so Rigby is a little underweight. She also has discharge from both eyes and some haziness in her eyes. She can't use her hind legs and scoops and the shelter's vet said she may have SPINE ISSUES but she goes to a bathroom by herself. She doesn't have a good appetite and only eats some of the food the shelter gives her. Rigby came into the shelter extremely matted down to her skin and a few days ago she was groomed as best as the groomer could. Her matted fur was cut off in some places but she may need to be groomed again once she is rescued🚨 Please see her new pics in the comments.

First, you let your own dog eat garbage, foreign objects or food that are normally not consumed by the animals and then you discard and throw away your own dog like he was a bag of trash? You are a crappy and irresponsible owner. SHAME ON YOU. Look at your own pet. Look how dirty he is. Look how neglected he is and look how sick he is. Gastroenteritis, Parasites, Skin and Bones. It looks like this baby was kept in a cage where he sat in his own p*e and p**p 😭

When was the last time you gave your own dog a bath? When was the last time you took your own dog to a vet? Probably never. Some people can be cruel and heartless 😡

This absolutely beautiful, neglected and very sick baby boy came into the Riverside Shelter, CA, which is a kill shelter as a stray dog on 02/25/23. This boy was not microchipped or even neutered by his pos owners. Now he is listed Code Red and will be euthanized if we don't find him a reputable rescue group and raise medical pledges. This tiny boy is very sick and needs an IMMEDIATE COMMITMENT to take him to a private vet. When I see a shelter mentioning "being monitored" I always get worried because this is not a good sign. This little boy is probably very sick. Please Help this baby.

❗️BOTH POMERANIANS WERE ABANDONED IN A LARGE BLACK TRASH BAG, DOUBLE BAGGED AND TIED SHUT AT PASADENA HUMANE, CA SHELTER 💔💔💔💔❗️

These two little dogs were just abandoned at Pasadena Humane in a large black trash bag - double bagged and tied shut. Luckily, our staff quickly freed the dogs from the bag, and in spite of everything they've been through, they are in good spirits and appear to be healthy. The smaller tricolor pup was a bit more nervous in her new surroundings, but the tan one was soon rolling on her back and asking for belly rubs.

Neither dog is microchipped, but because they appear to have been well-taken care of prior to their abandonment, we're not certain that the person who brought them to us was their owner.

I've been a good boy my whole life, No really. You know when people ask dogs
"who's a good boy?"
the answer is me. Albert. I am Albert and I have spent my entire life trying to please everyone so it's hard to believe I am in this situation and asking for help. Honestly, I don't even know how it happened But I am hoping you can help because I know I don't have a lot more time on earth but I want to spend it making you happy and being loved

I can't see anymore but I mange very well. you will never hear me bark because I know people don't like that so I never do it. I am very quiet and I don't take up much room. I mostly need a lap to sit on and I only weigh 4lbs so you may not even know I am there. I am super soft and I am getting even softer because the place that is helping me find a home for my golden years is helping me get super healthy.

The Dr says I have a strong heart but I already knew that because I love everyone.

I just had to have some surgery because I forgot to brush my teeth a few times, OK I never did . But to be fair I don't know how to but it doesn't matter now because I don't have any teeth left. So I have to eat soft food but it's great because the food the rescue is feeding me is so yummy I never want to eat kibble again.

I guess I should mention a few other fun facts about me. I do like to walk in circles sometimes and the Dr said I might have something called dementia I tried to tell them I am not walking in circles I am practicing to be a runway model because , well , have you seen me? I am gorgeous!!!

Well I really hope you can find it in your heart to help me out I need someone to love and someone who needs love. I am a good boy , I promise

Today is 15 weeks that out fur baby Coco went missing (she went missing on 8/8/22 from Williston Park NY). To say our family is devastated is an understatement. She is a very big part of our family and we just want her back - no questions will be asked and the reward is generous. Multiple huskies tied up on short chains. Animal Control has not helped the dogs when the neighbors complain. They are in direct sunlight in the heat.
