I forgot to take pictures of my morning clients today so here's my dogs to make up for it.
Today is the day! Come check out Dog Day of summer on Main St in Manayunk. There are soooo many dog vendors, I can't wait to check them all out myself! We're at 4322 Main St, outside of the office. Right next to so come check us all out.
Join us this Saturday for Dog Days of Summer! We will have adoptable dogs and Kim will be teaching tricks. Stop by and say hello!
Lilah worked on her walking outside today. So happy we've had some good weather the past few days. Perfect time to work on your pup's leash manners.
And today I got to meet Tony! Tony was adopted from recently and is working with me to help him with some stranger danger. We became fast friends and I'm excited to help him trust more humans!
Welcome Ralph to the Bad Bitch crew! Ralph's mom adopted him a few weeks ago and we met to make sure he gets his new life started off right. His mom has a lot of knowledge already and Ralph is in great hands.
Want a great reason to practice your stays? Taking pictures of your dogs.
(Fitz does not wish to be perceived and also doesn't care about the ball I had in my hand)
Our next pay what you wish Tricks class is this Monday at 6 pm! Tricks class has been such a hit so I'm happy to keep offering it! We're going to work on fetching objects and as always, I take requests! Stay tuned to see Indy be the fetch queen for some inspo. Email me or message me here if you'd like to join!
Happy National Mutt Day from my mutts to yours. I am lucky to meet lots of really great mutts every day through training and rescue. Thank you to all of my rescue partners for trusting me to help your mixed breed pups find their balance and be the best pup they can be for their forever homes. And for my clients who rescued their mixed breeds and fell in love with their dog's uniqueness.💛
I got to see Ruby today after a break from training! She did so well with my Rudy when working on her reactivity outside and even settled in well with Rudy at her house.
Join me for another virtual tricks class! Since our beat the heat class the other week was so much fun I thought I'd schedule another with the upcoming rain we have. Let's tire out those brains and bodies while we're in the house avoiding the rain. As always, I take trick requests! Let's get tricky.
We will meet via Google Meets video!
Message me or email me to sign up or if you have any questions!
Rudy duuuuupppeeee. Welcome, Hank! Hank is a 4 month old lab puppy working on the basics with me! Happy to help them start off life with a dog right. And thank you to Sarah for referring them to me!
Squuuueeeealllllllll look at this baby 😭😭😭. Welcome, Brujita! She's a sweet rescue puppy and we'll be working on crate training and potty training.
Is anyone else as neurotic as I am when prepping for a pet sitter? This is page one of 5. But thought I'd share so you can meet my crew too.
Welcome Gemma to the Bad Bitch Club! We had fun working on touch, place, and leave it! She did so well!
Join me and the resident Rude Boy for a tricks class!! Shoot me an email or send me a message.
Today I met the adoptable Forest! He's available through . He's about 2 years old and was found in the woods and captured after two weeks of trying! His foster mom has been doing lots of work with him and today we worked on confidence building to set him up for success when he finds his forever home. Adopt Forest and enjoy our floral photoshoot.
Awoooooooooo!!!
Hope you all had a safe holiday yesterday!!
This gorgeous Husky Gal is still looking for someone to harmonize with! Her current foster needs to pass the leash in just 2 weeks! We are hoping to find her someone to sing her Husky songs with by then but a new foster will do as well!
Lana is around 2 years old, super smart, loves to talk and has a great sense of humor (as most with smarts, do!)
She has had some nice dog meets and play dates, loves kids (especially teens)! No cats though, they are too exciting and she does lose her brains over them! Hey, even the smart ones have their weaknesses!
Have more fun in life! ADOPT LANA! 🐶💓🤸🏾♂️
Tina was so good during her training session today and even helped me with my lesson after hers by being a neutral dog for my reactive client!! So proud of Tina's progress and her mom's hard work.
Today we welcomed Lilah and Cooper! I forgot to get a picture of Lilah because of who I am as a person but I'll get her next time. I enjoyed meeting and working with these pups!
Welcome Sosa! Sosa is a standard poodle puppy ready to work on handling, potty training, and recall. He's very cute and we are wondering if he's going to turn out to be silver!
My pups and I were on a beach hiatus this past week but we're back and ready to train your dogs! How did you beat the heat last week?
Welcome Cedar, Sylvie, and Glyder! Integrating a new dog into a multi dog household can be tough, I'm happy to help them create harmony in their house!
Scottie is a fearful guy in the city but over stimulated in the woods. We worked on finding our Zen in the back of my car in the parking lot and then found alternate reinforcers on the trail since food and toys didn't do it for him! He did enjoy jumping over a large tree back and forth to his mom and dad so we used that to get some fun engagement from him. Having a fearful dog isn't easy and Scottie's parents have really put in a lot of time and patience getting Scottie to feel more confident.
Cleo has come so far after 4 lessons! I'm proud of her and her family for working so hard. I love to see dogs thrive.
It's a beautiful day to get out and train your dog! Auggie agrees.
I hung out with Lana from today and went on a walk with their neighbor dog, Combo! Lana was interested in Combo at first but quickly became neutral around him. We then hung out in the yard together. I think Lana would do great in a home with an older, chill dog. She's about two years old and ready to find her forever home! Adopt Lana!
Welcome Tink and her incredible ears. We got the best head tilt photos from her after we worked on settling in a park today! She is a recently adopted pup from and she's doing so well in her new home.

today I put Rudy in a pretty difficult environment by having him be my helper at a busy event. It's an overwhelming environment and we were sitting behind a table with high value treats on it. He got a little stiff with dogs coming up to me so we worked on rewarding him anytime a dog passed us or was interacting with us. he was a good demo dog but he's still only a year old and still learning. I also was able to get an example of training vs. management on this video. I began to lose his attention and the situation was harder for him, so I managed the situation by putting him in the office! management helps by avoiding the undesirable behaviors from happening and becoming an engrained response. I take behavior as information and I saw today based on Rudy's behavior that I need to work on his feelings about kids (kids are scary) and his feelings about other dogs approaching me while I have food. I am proud of him for handling today as well as he did, we'll work hard so next time he does even better. #dogtraining #phillydogtrainer #manayunk #dogdayofsummer
We had a great time at Dog Day of Summer! Thank you to everyone who came out and learned a trick and talked about dogs with me. And thank you to my real estate team @themainstreetteam for having such a great location!
If my dogs encounter a problem that I think they can solve on their own I let them. this is a great way to help them think independently to problem solve and to build confidence. Rudy (black dog) is a year old and I have been seeing an improvement with his problem solving, so when I saw his ball roll into some brush I wanted to see how he'd approach it. he was apprehensive because of the location but he didn't give up immediately. Indy has helped him find balls that he loses by running to them and showing him where they are. I loved watching Indy try to show him a better way to approach the brush to get the ball, and then ultimately decide to get it herself to help him (or to help me). dogs are smart and I love watching them problem solve, so I hope you enjoy watching their brains work too. #dogtraining #problemsolvingskills #confidencebuilding
Fetch is one of our favorite and most used cues! Do you know how great it is to have a dog who can pick up objects for you? Sometimes I'm walking around the house and Indy is next to me and I see something on the ground. Well I don't feel like bending down and picking it up but you know who's really close to the ground? INDY! Watch her pick up some lotion for me while I lounge on the couch. #dogtraining #tricktraining #fetch
phin is afraid of people and unfortunately he shows that by trying to get space from them. one of the most effective ways to get space is to lunge and snap. we are working on making him feel safe around people by using pattern games and creating a safe space (his place bed) when new people are around. he did great and even gave loose tail wags to me from afar!
Ivy doesn't like when other people leash her! we've been working at it for about 4 sessions now and took it at her pace. we spent time working on generalized impulse control, start buttons, and conditioning her to reaching and putting her head through something. very happy with a successful leashing today. important to note that today is the first time I actually leashed her. I've done the hoop "trick" with her before but didn't fully leash her. I am happy she's feeling confident and comfortable enough to be leashed by me!! #rplusdogtraining #phillydogs #leashyourdog
Our empathy is not a fault, it's a power. love all my fellow bad bitches training their dogs with love, compassion, and empathy. 💛 #womanownedbusiness #womandogtrainers #femaledogtrainer #rplusdogtraining
a day in the life: 10:15 gym at @jabzboxingdrexelhill . Did some real estate work when I got home. walked my dogs. 2:00 lesson with @tinatalksback in Fairmount, love catching up with my girl. 3:30 lesson with Nola in center City working around some scary noises! back to Fairmount for a 5:00 lesson with @ozzie.the.aussie.mix to work on reactivity with guest star @murphythephillypit 7:00 lesson in Drexel Hill with Mac to work on reactivity and engagement outside. 8:20 home, fed the dogs, and about to eat dinner and hang out on my porch. all of the dogs did great today and I'm happy to be in their lives. #tired #DogTraining #philly #delco
he does a pretty good job holding his sh*t together but he's still a puppy at the end of the day. #dogtraining #dogtrainersdog #pleasedontembarrassme #
Nefi worked on place today! we're going to use place as a way to redirect her from guests because she can be a little overzealous when people come over! having a reinforced place to be redirected to can help her get distance and relax instead of working herself up. #positivereinforcementdogtraining #dogtraining #philly #phillydogs
I love all of the products I've gotten from @off.road.k9 so it made sense to get new 6 ft leashed from them! They came out so well, and I think Rudy looks real good in line green!
Lloyd gets real fixated on squirrels and doesn't budge when he's stalking them. we worked on getting in sync by moving in random directions and rewarding for him syncing back up to Mom. when that was easy at a distance and he stayed synced up to Mom we got closer to the squirrel haven! he did great!! #dogtraining #squirrel #chasingsquirrels #positivereinforcementdogtraining
It's not easy but it's worth it! I love being able to let my dogs move freely and be dogs. Now if you have a dog that doesn't have a reliable recall they can live a very happy and fulfilled life on a long line! But let them play in the mud too, you'll be happy you did.
I'm just going to make this page a dog training meme account instead of a business account if you guys don't take capcut away from me soon. #reactivedog #reactivitytraining
one of my favorite ways to work on loose leash walking is actually with an long lead! we started by giving Ozzie about 15 feet of leash and rewarding any time he got to his mom's side. this is also great for him because it teaches him to follow our body movements which will help with reactivity. we did this in a parking lot between a group of kids playing softball and the dog park he goes to so this was a hard spot for him! when he stayed at Mom's side consistently we shortened the leash little by little until we got back onto the regular leash that they use. we're going to start adding in the cue "with me!" next to be able to call him into a heel walk.
Happy dog moms day!! My dog mom clients work so hard and they deserve a little special recognition. Thank you for helping your dog feel safe and confident every day through every obstacle. They love you very much. And if you need a dog walker or pet sitter that will support your training goals, check out @pawsitivevibesonly_ . They are so great with all dogs, especially reactive pups! Disclaimer! I have some really great dog dad clients too but more often than not the dad is the party parent 🥳. But I love when a dad puts that fanny pack on and gets to #werk . My dogs don't have a dad so I'm also the party parent, don't worry. #dogmom #nationaldogmomday #mothersday
Cleo and Nefi are also new today! Cleo is the larger lady and she has a burst of energy late at night. Her family wanted to figure out a way to get that energy out without having to walk her in the city. We talked about scavenger hunts in the house and indoor agility. Both of the girls were passed out by the time I left. That gooooooood sleep. #phillydogtrainer #phillydogs #dogagility
Today I got to work with Eldridge from @phillybullyteam . He is working on alternate behaviors to help decrease jumping on his fosters for attention or when he's over stimulated. We worked with a barrier so he can't practice the behavior. We also worked on calming after high arousal (peep the rug from him playing tug). We tried a little free shaping of place to work on his frustration tolerance and problem solving skills but we didn't have a ton of brain power left at that point. We finished off settling in the living room! His fosters have been great and putting in a lot of work to make Eldridge the best version of himself for his future home! #adoptabledogsofphilly #phillydogtrainer #phillydogs
Today Rosie worked on releasing a toy with an "out!" cue! We were even able to work up to doing out from a distance with a recall. Rosie is a smart girl who just needs that brain WERKED. also I had to use this sound because it automatically lined up the word leap with Rosie's jump 🤣🤣. #phillydogtrainer #phillydogs #dogtraining
