(please don't message me about them)
Just a cool video.
The largest 2 CTs so far they've been jarred about a week and twice the size of their siblings / starting to be more aggressive. The other males will be joining them in the divided tanks next week. Alongside some Hmpk males.
When you try take clear photos but he has the zoomies.
A cute walstad aquascape I did for a family member, was limited with left over wood and stones but once the plants grow in it should look amazing.
This is non co2 aquarium with daily fertiliser and uses Walstad method (dirt capped method).
It has a small 5 watt hang on filter with a overflow atrachement.
There is no air stone as there's enough surface movement for gas exchange and being heavily planted it's not needed.
The tank is heading into week 3 and can already go without water changes now for 2 weeks with perfect parameters.
It needed a small kh buffer as the hardness was at 0 and filter clean with a toothbrush to remove some excess algae.
The hairgrass has already doubled in size and the Java moss has had its second handful cutting, all the plants are producing lots of bubbles.
Can't wait to see what it looks like in another 4 weeks.
4 Hmpk betta brothers.
4 lovely HMPK betta brothers going to their forever home next week.
Can't get over how stunning they turned out, sad to see them go! 🥰
Please do not attempt this with your own betta males if you do not know the signs to intervene, it could lead them to seriously hurt each other.
Pink irid blue marble halfmoon.
The same Halfmoon spawn decided to hold on to one more male.
Not perfect but for gen 1 still decent.
Going to experiment with this line and will see what the offspring's form is like in 5 months. 😁
Already have two successful gen 2 spawns on the way excited to see the results.
blue marble hm x imported dt female and irid blue black hm x black marble hm.
Low Tech Aquascape Betta New Zealand.
A Commission I did for a client who wanted a classy show piece which is functional (low tech, low maintenance) check comments for the photos.
Using a large fish bowl, with a preset heater and a established sponge filter hidden behind the wood.
The goal for the tank it to be a low maintance and to house a betta. Which I offered my lovely 15 month crowntail breeder who needed a retirement home thats stress free.
Substrate:
Added Additives

Due to the water hardness being very very soft buffers will be required to prevent ph swings and add the minerals for the plants.

Crowntail bubble nest full of eggs.
Second generation of Crowntails in the works! The goal for this spawn is persevering the fathers finnage and improving his body form before outcrossing with the 3rd generation.
Father x KA060222 Female.
The female has nice long straight rays with long extentions and a dorsal ray count of 10 to work with.
My expectations from this pairing is at least 75% Crowntails with finnage similar to the father and a smoother top line.
