We (more often than you think) get donations from people whose pets have passed. It is never easy to receive these gifts, but it’s an honor to be entrusted with the task of the love being passed along.

When it is your own family member’s, one you personally know and love, it’s even harder.

Over 100lbs each of grain to 4 different farms this week! 🐥🐥🐥
Also over 200lbs each of equine feed to 5 different different farms!🐴🐴🐴
It doesn’t sounds like a lot, but every little bit helps for anyone who is in need.

Here’s a great idea!
It’s yard sale time and what better way to help out the animals in need than to go to some!
We take clean gently used towels, blankets , stuffed animals (for kitten orphans especially and kittens in general) dog/cat bowls, My mom and I went Thursday and I found a bunch of adorable little stuffed animals and I told the guy about B’s and he said , how wonderful , 25 cents each and he gave me 3 three free. Also found 2 stainless bowls for 1.50.
The bargains are out there and it certainly makes me feel good to find them and give knowing the animals that receive them desperately need them and will love them. Drop off 2 locations Webberville and Gregory 💚.

Volunteer Spotlight 💥 Brooke
Brooke is not just someone we help … yes, she is our guinea pig rescue that we are so thrilled to get donations for! BUT she manages to find time to give back too! To be a part of not just receiving but giving! She helps coordinate with some very unique rescues who are so specific they rarely get help! From her own cavies to rabbits and even fox rescues! She finds ways ♥️

A volunteer of ours will be at the Livingston County Animal Control Friday!!!

They are still in need of towels, blankets and especially flat sheets! If you’re doing any spring cleaning, we can collect and take them up!!!! (MUST BE WASHED)

🚨🚨🚨WE JUST DID INVENTORY! 🚨🚨

We are COMPLETELY OUT of (and can’t provide any aid):
💔Lamb dry dog food!
💔 Salmon/Fish dry dog food

We have left only enough for ONE month (of our current families)
💔Beef dry dog food
💔 Dry Cat kibble

We have some dogs that have special diets and NEED a particular protein, but not brand. What we have listed is just SUGGESTED brands but they will appreciate ANYTHING!
We are also low on cat kibble 💔

Any donations can be picked up locally, dropped at the Chelsea Family Farm & Home or ordered on Amazon and have shipped directly to us.

Volunteer Spotlight 💥 Michelle

Michelle loves all animals and carries a tub full of food and treats, collars and leashes so she’s ready to help whenever she sees a stray . She has returned many animals to their owners over the years. Michelle is our wonderful helper who helps coordinate larger runs to the Flint area ♥️

Volunteer spotlight! 💥 Karen
Takes time after work to pass out food to the residents of a retirement community. These people don’t have much, let alone the ability to come get pick up. This is one of the few times we can make a delivery.

She has also made donations to the Nook.

Breaks my heart but this is reality.
Majority of our donations come from places that DON’T want this happening. And they are the smaller private owned stores.
