I'M JELLY BEAN! I'm growing fast and learning faster! I have been taught "Sit", "Gentle", and "Leave it!". Love meeting new humans of all ages and dogs of all sizes! I get to go on car rides with my foster mom and have newfound confidence at new spaces.

UPDATE: The dog at the truck stop along Highway1 was picked up by concerned passerby, same as another one just a day or so before, both looked abandoned, and we were told both have been reunited with owner in Morley.
UPDATE DOG ALONG HIGHWAY 1 near Calgary :
Appears to be an abandoned and/or homeless dog however, we received a message this dog is 'owned'. A concerned citizen sent this to us. He waits here for food. Our concern is near Highway 1. We find far too many hit and killed, or broken legs, and constant phone calls of dogs stuck in the middle divider having to cross a very busy highway with thousands of semi trucks per day.

UPDATE ROSIE AND WILMA, rescue Papillions: The little chihuahuas have arrived from Nelson BC and now with their foster dad in Banff enjoying lap time and a TV show💕. He said they are loving little lap doggies.🥰 Sweet bonded pair from bad situation in Tijuana, Mexico now feeling safe and loved during and after their travel journey. THEY ARE PENDING ADOPTION TOO. POTENTIAL ADOPTER MEETING SOON. :)

We were rescued in Mexico, just arrived in Banff, and haven't found anyone other than one wonderful guy that works two jobs and already has a few dogs to take us in. Just to show how evil Ty Marshall online animal breeding and sales near Calgary is and how much he profits from suffering animals. Mainly people need to stop buying , same as puppy mils or from breeders. Many breeders are backyard breeders and puppies are picked on by siblings and breeders do not to anything to prevent it. They do not get socialized, the mothers are forced to breed and take care of puppies. Mother dogs rather be pets.

Focus needs to be on shutting the owner of this down who breeds and works with breeders to sell puppies online in an auction to highest bidder. UPDATE: The surrenderer that found the pregnant mama cat that is now missing, has purchased kitten formula and now feeding the young kitties. He is surrendering in a few days after taking time out to search for the missing mother. We have counseled him how to find a lost cat. We hope he finds the mama! We also have lined up a fosterer and just waiting on her Foster Application. If anyone would like to send one in be wonderful to have some on file! Especially when the kittens are older and need foster care. Or others that may be found.

We got a call from someone NW Calgary who had a stray cat at her home that went missing when she let it outside. The mama cats 5 kittens have not eaten in two days. We instructed the caller to go to pet store for kitten powder formula asap. In meantime, we are looking for help these kittens with someone who would like to hand feed them with syringes till older and help foster/care for them.

SIGN SIGN SIGN! Cops can be so despicable!! This is no way for them to use their guns and power. Please sign to stop helpful dogs from dying brutal deaths! This is disgusting!! The very least they could do is transfer to a vet for humane euthanasia. This is disturbing how police handle abandoned dogs. All of them wanting attention and food.

Halo was the most fearful of all the dogs rescued by Almost Home Rescue over two years ago. She has come far in her two year journey to learn to trust in her foster home, although at this point Halo needs more one on one, socialization, leash walking, some basic training from experienced and responsible dog person.

We would like to raise awareness about Ty Marshall selling animals online.
Please contact Kneehill County, Alberta, not far from Calgary, and ask for Carolyn in the Development Dept, in the town of Linden at 403-443-5541, and tell her you are very upset about her allowing this man to breed and sell in her community when she has the power to pull his permit he never should of received. This is animal abuse. These dogs and cats can be sold in this online bidding auction for food, abuse, pitbull rings, laboratories, dog fighting. All things bad and he does not care. Or, you can save some....
Ty Marshall has recently obtained a permit to sell dogs, cats puppies and kittens online to anyone no matter where the pets are going. URGENT! There is limited time to appeal!! Please call Monday morning! ****put in your datebook. The pictures he posts are on grass, etc., but the dogs and cats are in a horrible indoor creepy filthy dark cages.
Ty Marshall breeds and sells many different animals raised in horrible conditions.They are sold in laundry baskets and cardboard boxes. The kittens could possibly get into hands that would use them for bait for dog fighting. Canada has no laws to prevent the selling of live animals online. Alberta SPCA might possibly start a file. If able to foster please open up your home for a cat/ dog to help some of these animals we know someone willing to go in and bid to remove them from auction.
There is limited time as after August 14th this permit will be irreversible. The Auction name is Central Alberta Auction Services Ltd. This man has found a way to make money off of animals no one wanted or knew about. HELP SHUT HIM DOWN AND STOP SUFFERING.

LEONBERGER REHOME UPDATE: We received numerous wonderful inquiries and a couple extremely nice applications. We have reviewed them and it's such a hard choice, if only all dogs got the interest as this one. We ended up communicating and making arrangement for one Leonberger acreage family to meet, the family that put in the first application. We don't always go with the first one in, however, it was so good we had to figure a way to choose. We will confirm early tomorrow if a good match for anyone that wants to know.

Harry spent 8 years now at a shelter cage in Bahrain with over 200 rescues awaiting homes. He had a short two weeks in adopted home, then returned. He and Zelda, two Very lucky ones arriving into Vancouver International Airport June 20 and we are looking for one of our volunteers that can meet the plane, as well as either foster or transport to Calgary. Such sweetness....remember this kitty-cat, rescued from a huge dump pile, we meowed and she meowed back and came out and over to us....here she is with her rescued pup who was also found homeless and injured at the same dump years back. I'm currently back home in California, Santa Cruz, where I grew up and currently coordinating rescue in Alberta and took this yesterday after a terrific vegan festival I attended with incredible booths, food, people, rescue...I'mj getting in touch with my vet here to help his dog. Our Story
Focusing on rescuing homeless dogs and cats from harsh environments and overcrowded shelters, rehabilitate them and match to adopter's and pets needs. We also try our best to educate about animal welfare. One of the best ways to educate is through the importance of spay and neuter.
We are moving forward, after 20 years of rescue in Alberta, to fundraise for an official rescue rehab adoption center. It’s badly needed since many dogs can often be rescued from homelessness with the help of the First Nations communities in Canada, and we need a place for these dogs to go when they first arrive.
