Aren't these Highlands stunning?? They could be yours! .

We talk a lot about the way we measure our highlands, weather adult size or calves, with our farm visitors. A lot of people measure to the hook, which is typically 2-4" shorter than the top of the back. We measure our cattle at the top of the back, in line with the hook. A few inches in height really can be the difference between a micro to a mini, or a mini to a mid-size.

We try very hard to represent our cattle accurately. If we had measured these girls to the hook, they would've easily fallen in line with mini highlands qualifications. However, we feel that is a misrepresentation of the highland cattle. This group is beautiful and friendly but unfortunately they dont fit our farm program. We know someone will be very happy with having them on their farm.

We are not perfect and I'm sure we make mistakes, but we always welcome farm visitors! We are expecting 40+ calves this year that will fall into the micro and mini sizing. We encourage you to come meet with us, visit our farm, see our cows. We'd love to show you around!!
