We lost 1 of our 3 hives over the winter, but 2 have thrived! Just put on the bee excluders to prep for honey harvest. At least 50lbs of dark, rich wildflower honey in one and 25-30 lbs in the other. Stay tuned for more updates including our next farm stand date!

Kiddo wanted a summer job to earn extra money, so we are trying something starting on Saturday mornings in late June. Stay tuned!

Just because summer tomatoes aren’t in doesn’t mean you can’t have healthy, nutritious spaghetti sauce. Add baby carrots and kale (or spinach) from the garden, with your favorite fresh herbs to a crockpot, then cook on high until the veggies are soft. Purée the veggies with a stick blender, then add your favorite jarred sauce, some frozen meatballs, salt, pepper, a splash of raw vinegar and a few more Italian herbs to taste. You’ll have a nutritionally dense sauce even the kiddos will love!

We Never Thought We’d Do This

We purchased our home with the intention of moving my mother in after her cancer diagnosis to enjoy the time we had left. Two weeks before we closed, Mom passed away and we were left with a house that we thought was bigger than we needed for our shrinking family and 4-acres of land. We just didn’t know what God had planned...

Flash forward two years and we are now Air BnB Superhosts teaching others how to garden by the square foot, growing our own vegetables and herbs, foster parenting and contemplating have a goat herd. Just goes to show you that the Lord does indeed work in mysterious ways.
