Words can not express my gratitude to my friends and their puppies!! Today we had a phoenomenal first trial of our Canadian Nose2Nose Club trial. Although there are some things to work out I know it's going to be so much fun. The LOST HUMAN was the best and the LOST ARTICLE CHALLENGE was fun to watch.
I can not thank Violets Management Team - AKA Dean and Janet for their expert scoring. Dean especially had 90% of my job done. So scores will be up on TUESDAY! Thank you so much Dean. Thank you to all of the volunteers. And Thank you for your patience while we work out some teething bumps.
Congratulations to Tony Hanson on being the first dog in the N2N 50Q club. Awesome effort Tones!
Everyone have a wonderful holiday and I can't wait for 2025.

We have some room in our Nosework trial this weekend in Sherwood Park. We are using Wintergreen Thyme and Pine for those that would like to practice. We also have Lost Article Search, Lost Human Search and Prey Hunt classes.

Hi Everyone,

Thank you for supporting our first Nose2Nose Canine Sports Club trial. We are excited to bring this new format exclusively to Canada for all Canadians to have fun and bond with their fur pawtners.

This weekend we are at Salisbury Greenhouse in SHERWOOD PARK. The address is 52337 Range Rd 232, Sherwood Park, AB T8B 1B8

Handlers Meeting: 845 am
Start: 9am
Parking: Please leave parking in front of the Greenhouse for their customers. Please park in the far North West area of the parking lot.

Lunch: 12:30pm at Nitza's Pizza 300 Amberley Way #150, Sherwood Park, AB T8H 1X8 $20 pp I need NUMBERS today please. Please pay ahead of time with your run fees. The $20 includes our gratuity.

Run Order:
We will be doing all of the Lost Article runs first. Then Lost Human. Odour Search (which essentially is scent detection). Followed by the Prey Hunt categories (essentially urban locating)

I am having trouble with my forms and some were not filled in. Please reply to this email stating which level you want to challenge. Remember you can challenge at ANY LEVEL you feel comfortable in.

Odour Search Oil: Wintergreen for level 1. Wintergreen and Pine for level 2. Wintergreen, pine and thyme level 3. Wintergreen, Pine, Thyme and Anise for Grand Champion.

Lost Article Level 1: Glasses, Clothing (size within reason please), Keys and Wallet.

Run fee: $10 per run per dog plus a one time membership fee of $10 per dog. payable to [email protected]

The Salisbury Greenhouse has been very very accommodating to have us at this awesome location. It is the busiest weekend of their year. Please support them kindly by using their coffee shop located inside. For this reason, I will not be offering a concession.

Top Nose Club: We have 2 possibly 3 dogs that will be receving their 50Q club prize at the lunch.

Photo Wall: After Lunch please feel free to take a picture of your dog with their 50Q club prize inside the Greenhouse. We will provide our banner in the Christmas decoration area for photos.

Ribbons: Ribbons and New Titles will be awarded at lunch and at the end of the day for the AM and PM trials.

Secret Santa: If you would like your dog to participate in the Secret Santa gift exchange, please bring a wrapped gift with maximum value of $10.

Food Drive: N2N are making a donation to the local shelter in the form of pet products, food and gift cards. If you would like to participate, please bring some product, blankets, towels or cash to buy a Pet Valu gift card so the shelters can purcahse what they need,

Crate Plates: It is not too late to order our crate plates with your dogs name on them. A picture is attached. They are $12 each.

If you haven't entered or don't know what to enter please message Maree Duffy Okabe I need FINAL NUMBERS for our Celebfation Italian Xmas Lunch. It's $20 which includes a full buffet of italian food, pop, tea, coffee and the group gratuity. We are eating at 1230pm.

A few people have asked why I chose the hides to be unknown at our trials. Simply because I believe just dropping an item in front of the dog's nose isn't really giving a true depiction of nose work ability. Through judging I have seen a large percentage of the dogs work using sight. Although their nose may take them in the general direction of the Hide many of them use sight when it is fully exposed. I wanted it to be a closer depiction of using their nose and stay true to the roots of nose work and scent detection

We are doing a fundraiser for our new Nosework Club. Crate Name Plaques. Can be done in almost any colour combination. $12 each.

I will be posting a basic version of the rules for the nose work trial on December 14th. One of the main differences is that the hides are going to be UNKNOWN just like other nosework sports because I truly think that is the only way to give an exact depiction of the dog's ability to sniff something out. The HANDLER still makes the call. In LOST HUMAN search your dog can be handler by a friend or the judge!
Hides will be hidden with various degrees of difficulty depending on the level and you can ENTER IN ANY LEVEL THAT YOU WISH TO CHALLENGE FOR ODOR, PREY (rat) HUNT OR LOST ARTICLE. Lost human and challenges need to be level 1 as they are new.
And the traditional hunt for gerbils is being modified so that some trials will use mice, rats or quail. It's PREY HUNT. This will announced innthe premium.
