There’s just something magical about the bond between little girls and their Appaloosa ponies. Those spotted coats and sweet, curious eyes seem to spark instant friendships and endless adventures. Pony of Americas (POA) are known for their gentle nature, patience, and playful personalities—making them the perfect partners for young riders who are learning the ropes.

Whether it’s brushing out their unique spots, giggling through a first trot, or sharing quiet moments in the barn, these ponies help build confidence, responsibility, and lifelong memories. At Red Horse Training, we believe every child deserves a safe, encouraging start in the saddle, and POAs especially Mocha are always up for the job. They teach patience, teamwork, and the joy of horsemanship—all while making riding lessons something to look forward to every week.

Here’s to the little girls and their Appaloosa ponies: may your adventures be many, your giggles be loud, and your friendship last a lifetime. 🐴💕

We had a great time showing this past weekend at our first Indiana Ranch Horse Association show in Cloverdale, Indiana.

Great experience for the horses at their first ranch horse show.

Brennan Caldwell, is a 2029 rising freshman. Brennan, rides for Red Horse Training in Waddy, Kentucky. At the 2025 IEA Western Nationals in Fort Worth, Texas, Brennan received the NRHA Sportsmanship Award for the second consecutive year. This summer, Brennan and her gelding, Rawhide Shines (Rawley), are competing in the Green Reiner program in NRHA/KRHA Reining events in Kentucky.

Back to School Camp was a blast! We played games, painted our favorite horses, learned to rope, enjoyed ice cream sundaes, played mounted games on horseback, and wrapped it all up with our own Equestrian Olympics. So proud of everyone for trying new things and making memories together! Thank you, Holden Bray for being our Camp helper and assisting Coach Caitlin!
