Introducing our newest project at Red Line Reptiles: Anolis barbatus!

These beauties hail from Western Cuba and are an extremely docile species when it comes to handling. They are typically called "Cuban False Chameleons" but are in fact not related to chameleons at all. They are a different species of Anole (Those little green lizards you see on your porch out here in Alabama)! Their diet is interesting, they are molluscivorous which means they are specifically adapted to eating snails and other gastropods, but they can be supplemented with your normal crickets, mealworms, and dubias. 🦎❤️

Here is the second girl who is arriving tomorrow from Cali - Donia Rhacs LLC. I am really leaning towards calling her Zelda because of her golden crown and light purple coloring, but I will wait until she arrives to make the final decision.

I had a chance today to finally set up my reptile and plant racks the way I wanted them to be. And when I tell you I am in love? I mean it. They turned out way better than I could have ever imagined! Both racks are equipped with full sprectrum grow lights to help with the growth and health of all of the plants.

Next on the agenda: Having only front-opening tanks for easy of care and access.

I decided my work was not done today and cleaned up my adolescent female cage. It was absolutely gorgeous to begin with, but I decided to do a bit of trimming and refresh the background foliage. I'm very please with how it turned out ❤️

Last but not least, Miss Priss. This big momma left me the surprise of 2 more eggs, and looks like she is pregnant again 😬😅 Her cage may look very similar to how it was before, but she has a lot more live plants now. (Note the fern in the background, it was fake before and is real now)

Dash is one of favorite geckos, but he is still super shy. Hopefully this renovation will help him warm up some 😁❤️
