With the launch of Vermont Canine Adventures, I am fulfilling a life-long dream. I have been preparing for the start-up by working with my three dogs. Even with all the training I've given them in the past. I've seen significant improvements in their behavior when we go on regular hikes. They are stimulated in a balanced way; not only do they get the physical exercise they need but also much neede

d mental exercise! My dogs are happier, more relaxed, less needy, and far more confident! These improvements have definitely made me happier and more relaxed as well! I know from talking to friends and clients who live out in the country and work long hours, often a distance from their homes, how hard it is for them to get their dogs to day care or provide enough exercise and mental stimulation for their dogs. I will pick up and drop off your dogs at your home and give them lots of opportunities for running, playing, learning, exploring, and having fun. A place where dogs can be dogs. It’s with a heavy heart that I have decided to put a pause on my pet care business. I can’t find daycare for Z in the Walpole area. I found daycare in Keene, so I will be going back to doing hygiene. Thank you so much to all my amazing clients and their fur children❤️ I will miss all of you beyond words!

TIPS TO KEEP YOUR PETS SAFE DURING FIREWORKS!
Keep pets indoors: Ensure all windows and doors are closed.

Update identification: Make sure your pet’s is wearing a collar and their tags have up-to-date information. Register their microchip with correct address & phone number.

Muffle loud noises: Close windows and turn on the TV, radio, fans, or air conditioners.

Provide distractions: Keep toys and long-lasting treats (like stuffed Kong’s) available in their safe space (crate, bedroom, etc.).

Early exercise: Potty and exercise your pets on a leash early in the day when fireworks are less likely.

Use secure collars: Consider a martingale-style collar and slip leash to prevent your dog from panicking and slipping out of their collar if fireworks go off.

We need some supplies for around the shelter and some batteries for cameras for lost dog trapping. We are almost out of slip leashes and martingale collars for shelter dogs and lost dogs that we recover.
