Jocee has Cushings 😢

This is the second cocker spaniel I’ve had that has been diagnosed with Cushings (though they aren’t listed as one of the dog breeds considered at high risk for this disease). I hope the treatment has improved in the last 20 years.

My boy has gone from teddy bear pup to cute little dog! I already miss his curls but I hope he feels better without all that hair.

Can show cockers have variations in head/ear shapes & positions?

I have a beautiful cocker spaniel, we were told he was the English show type and I understand that show cockers then to have more of a domed head with ears set much lower down the head. I have noticed that in some angles, his ears are ‘show type’ but in other situations, his ears are set higher up. I’m starting to think he’s actually half working, half show. It doesn’t matter either way, merely curious! But I do wonder whether there can be variations in the head type?
