Want your business to be the top-listed Pet Store/pet Service?
Karyn started out as an owner handler over 30 years ago. From that grew a passion for conformation and in the 90’s into early 2000’s Karyn had a successful career handling dogs for others as well as her own. Life often has ebbs and flows, and in the early 2000’s Karyn made a decision to spend more time with her family and cut back to just showing personal dogs and attending fewer shows so she could focus on breeding Belgian Tervuren under the kennel prefix BlackFyre, as well as spend time in her other huge passion, Arabian horses and work on career goals. Over the years Karyn has worked with several Top all breed handlers around the country, refining her craft and expanding her knowledge.
Fast forward to 2018. Karyn was presented with several requests to start teaching owner handlers how to show their dog and was being asked to show dogs again. Due to her commitment to following the strict rules of AKC’s NOHS program, she did not feel it was ethical to step in the ring consistently with dogs owned by other people unless she gave up her amateur status and rejoined the ranks of her professional handling friends. Because we want your dogs to have the same experience we want for OUR own dogs, we are proud that we run a very minimal number of dogs at any event. Normally no more than 5 are showing a day to ensure that our client dogs are able to receive our full personal attention including lots of time being walked , time in exercise pens to relax and time loose in the RV or motel rooms for a reward for putting up with all that showing requires of our dogs. We treat your dog as one of OUR family members. Travel happens in the comfort of our Motorhome, unless weather is too dangerous to drive, then we have a 4 wheel drive van. Dogs are always appropriately climate controlled for the weather and we use safety measures such as temperature alert alarms, never leaving dogs in vehicles unattended during warm weather, etc. This ensures we are always aware of your dog’s comfort and well being.
Located in stunning Whatcom County, WA we are able to attend all West Coast shows and also important Canadian events.
