💜Stubby update💜

Stubby saw the amazing Neurology & Internal Medicine team at Purdue University Small Animal Clinic 2 days ago. After thorough eval and medication revamp we now have a more clear understanding of her injury, medical management needs, and what to expect in healing/recovery.
Stubby has a fracture in the S1-S3 region that is not healed and has nerve damage resulting in loss of deep pain sensation. We should expect some improvement of her bowel/bladder control but not a full recovery. We should continue her therapies and most importantly just allow time. Her fracture needs to heal, therapies need to continue, and in a couple months we should have some improvement and a better idea of what her outcome will be.
Stubby likes her new food, likes the fewer but more effective meds, and likes all the scratches and love she gets in her foster home while she heals.

Stubbys medical needs have been very expensive and her new food is also expensive. If any of our friends are able please consider donating to her medical & food cost.

Mr Marbles is a special kitten with CH. Our foster Marie worked hard with him and bottle fed him and now he has been adopted by Rowan and he will join another CH kitten! Rowan is a special person to care for these special needs kittens! Thanks for adopting!!

Desi is living in a separated space at the rescue because he starts trouble with the other cats. This is not ideal for him as he’s great with people and is a very active adult of about 3-4 years old who came to us a year ago when his owner died. Stubby will be heading to Purdue University in the morning for a Neurology consultation. Please keep our girl in your thoughts & prayers. She is in great spirits and enjoying the shaggy donut bed that was donated to her.

Tomorrow's visit and potentially recommended treatment will come at a large cost. If you are able, donations towards Stubbys care are greatly appreciated.

‼️Donations Needed‼️

Our girl, Stubby, has been struggling with a f***l impaction that we thought was resolved last week but she took a turn over the weekend. Stubby is with our friends South Creek Animal Hospital for an emergent evacuation of her bowels. We are thankful they were able to bring her in emergently and admit for surgery same day. This is a cost we were not anticipating and donations are almost nonexistent due to our stolen page.

Through a feed the shelters program with Science Diet we are able to purchase dry cat food much cheaper than we can purchase Purina or similar products.

Friends, without our original page, which is still active but out of our control, donations of cash and goods have come to a dead halt and we are feeling the pinch. Adoptions are way down and so are inquiries and open hours visitors.

Please continue to use the Amazon link at our original page to send wishlist items, especially cat litter which we can’t live without and is an endless significant expense. Friskies canned food as well. The Amazon account was not compromised.

We are trying to get back control of our original page which had reached 7,500 followers. With a small percentage of them donating, we benefited from a significant difference in our financial situation.

We are proud to announce that all 5 of the Roger's cats have been adopted! The 3 orange brothers stayed together and the 2 main c**n siblings stayed together. Thank you adoptors for helping these cats through their grief and giving them outstanding homes!!
